If I could give Budget Radiator and Automotive 10 stars, I absolutely would!…read more We were in Springfield from St. Charles for my daughter's MCDA Honors Choir workshops and concert when our 2015 Honda Odyssey suddenly started flashing warning lights on the highway--FCW, LDW, a flashing Drive indicator, and the check engine light. We were only about 7 miles out from our hotel, but we were worried we might be looking at a transmission replacement as it seemed like the transmission went "limp" and wouldn't change gears while driving! The team at Budget Radiator and Automotive got us in quickly, took the time to thoroughly diagnose the problem, and didn't jump to conclusions or try to sell us unnecessary repairs. They found that the alternator had failed, but they didn't stop there. During the repair they discovered the serpentine belt and tensioner were also failing because the belt kept slipping off. They explained everything clearly, showed us what was happening, and made sure the repair was done correctly. After replacing the alternator, serpentine belt, and tensioner, they checked the transmission fluid at my request, (which looked great), then test drove the van for about 20 miles to make sure everything was working properly before calling us. That's the kind of attention to detail and professionalism every customer hopes for. The van now runs beautifully, all of the warning lights are gone, and we have complete confidence driving it home. When you're traveling and your vehicle breaks down hundreds of miles from home, you're putting a lot of trust in a repair shop you've never met. Budget Radiator and Automotive earned that trust from the moment we walked in. They were honest, knowledgeable, thorough, and genuinely cared about getting us safely back on the road--not just fixing a car. Thank you for turning a stressful situation into such a positive experience. If we're ever in Springfield and need automotive service again, this will be our first call. I highly recommend Budget Radiator and Automotive to anyone looking for a shop they can trust.

I only put one star because it wouldn't let me go on with no stars stay clear from this business I…read moretook my 2018 Jeep Wrangler in back in October they fixed a head, which in mind, it took over 3 weeks. my warranty covered it, and James River Jeep Chrysler said there's a two year unlimited mileage warranty for Thier parts. And now I took it back because the check engine light came on they stated the head that they replaced were bad because the Melt tab stated the engine. well I drive this everyday and I would know if my engine overheated especially it has to overheat I think over 225°, so I would know if it had gotten hot by my temperature gauge or smoke coming out of the engine I would have had to pull over And now since they're saying that they're not honoring the warranty and my warranty company is not paying for it because they feel James River Jeep should pay for it. So I called Corwin Jeep, I called Chevrolet and just asked to general question regarding this and they say they would have honored the warranty since it had been only 5 months they would have went ahead and warrantied their product because customer satisfaction and one company said it could have been a faulty temp gauage but they would have still honored the warranty. Toni, the service advisor is one of the worst people you can communicate with because she doesn't know how to communicate. The first time on the job she would go four or five days without even give us update we would have to call and find an update or call and ask someone else to go find her to have her call me back This time it's Taken over 2 weeks and mind you I had to get a rental car because they don't do any loaners if you don't have a warranty or something with them so after being in a rental for two weeks and again her communication sucks ass, we've had to call we've had to text and then she'll come back oh well our texting system is down or well I called your number and your voicemail is full, no the voicemail is not even set up so how can it be full. She lies, she's unprofessional she tells my husband "oh man man there's nothing my hands are tied man" He's not your man. Very unprofessional talk. So I have filed a lawsuit against James River Jeep. No wonder this company has only a 2.1 Stars it should be 0.0 I'm warning you Jeep owners or anyone else do not go there for service go to Corwin or Reliable Chevrolet on Campbell.
