I'd been here once a number of years ago, at which time this place was truly a dive. Walls were…read morecovered in very well-worn carpet, the place was almost too dim to see in (in the afternoon), the beer selection was very poor. I think I had a Blatz. I didn't order food--I could do just as well eating something off the sidewalk, I thought. Inspired by the good reviews here, I went back this week. What a change! New wood paneling on the walls, a very clean atmosphere overall with lots of natural light. And good craft beers. I ordered the chicken-bacon-ranch salad and was impressed. Lettuce was fresh and finely cut, meat was tender and generously portioned, with enough bacon to provide an accent but not dominate the salad. Salads at small bar-and-grill operations are sometimes a dicey bet, but Mio Saloon nailed it. Don't get me wrong--this place hasn't been yuppified. It's still a down to earth small town bar catering to a biker clientele. It also seems to be a spot where locals just meet to have lunch and chat, dragging the kids along. The vibe might be different at night. I get up to Mio a few times a year, and I plan to find out next time I do.

Stopped in for a drink and bite with my Asian/American GF while traveling, was around the time things started to reopen from COVID. Place had a few customers but not at all busy, grabbed 2 seats at bar sat for 20 minutes completely ignored with no acknowledgement, or even eye contact. Bartender by name of Rodney complete with his Confederate Flag ball cap was present behind bar entire time, chit chatting and serving other customers while blatantly ignoring us. After that length of time being ignored and giving benefit of doubt, we realized what we felt might be happening was really happening, and left. Zero Stars

The place is old but seems clean. There is a full bar not that I'm drinking yet. We had the waiter take our order and someone else brought condiments which are dirty and the onion in the dish looked old and taken off a sandwich. There are several workers here or visitors not sure but they are around. I ordered a philly sandwich which was very salty it did have the green peppers with it but no onions. It came with staled chips. Very disappointed. My husband ordered a cheeseburger. He said it was ok. I cant even see giving it a second chance which many times I give to a restaurant.
