The person who was assisting me kept bringing out an older demographic style. I found a dress that I was into, however it was discontinued and I was only told that when I said that was the only dress I liked. The person helping me didn't really make me feel special nor have a conversation with me. It seemed like I was inconveniencing her. We just didn't hit it off. This first bridal appointment made me nervous for other ones, but it turns out this was the only appointment where I felt this way. I went into my fitting with some loose ideas - I adamantly knew I didn't want a mermaid style, and I was interested in lace and dresses that weren't white. Super helpful, right?? Ryan was wonderful and just talked to me and got an idea of my personality and just started grabbing dresses for me to try on. They were - truly - all freaking stunning, COMPLETELY different, and very much me. From the second I had walked in I had my eye on a short pink dress that was on the mannequin, but it ended up being one of the dresses Ryan picked out for me that was the winner. I couldn't stop smiling. The inventory was extensive, and most importantly unique. Stella has a fantastic eye and picks dresses that are not only gorgeous, but will make you stand out. The process was so easy and stress free. We had the entire place to ourselves, no time limit, there was champagne, and the space is just gorgeous. My mom is not a girly woman at all, and she rarely wears dresses or anything like this, but Monroe quickly figured out my mom's preferences and showed her dresses that really flattered her figure. She helped her pose and take pictures of the dresses - so many beautiful dresses. When I was with her, we got 1 on 1 attention and the dresses she picked out were gorgeous. We finally went with a stunning black dress with tasteful shoulder cutouts that I honestly would have never thought to pick out myself. I…read morewas unable to wear my original wedding gown due to a last minute disaster and found myself scrambling to buy a gown off the rack the week before my big day. I was able to find something in my size but the gown still needed to be taken in and up to fit me properly. I called Ilana at 5pm on the Tuesday before my wedding on Saturday looking for a miracle. Despite her being in the middle of busy wedding season, she graciously offered to help me and told me to come on in. Ilana was so kind and warm in person and her attention to detail was noticeable. She fitted my gown to me perfectly, had me try the dress with and without a bustle and even had me come in for a second fitting before finalizing the cuts - who gets a second fitting when they come the week of their wedding?! Last, I chose to wear my gown with a wrist strap. The wrist strap on the original dress was made of plain ribbon and Ilana asked me if she wanted her to cover it with fabric, given the time I said not to worry about it. When I put my dress on on my big day, the wrist strap was made of the lovely fabric of the rest of my gown - I was overwhelmed by Ilana's generosity and attention to detail to ensure my gown was perfect even though we were working on a very short timeline. I started…read morewith a bridesmaid dress in March and it was finally done 6 days before the wedding I needed it for in September. That feels like far more time than needed. I had my dress taken in, hemmed and without discussion she put in these clasps to hold up bra straps. At the time I thought the idea was nice, but the reality of wearing the dress for 9+ hours, the fabric used rubbed my shoulders so bad I have scrapes where it rested. The original price quoted was $50, we talked about hemming in my first appointment, get to the end to pay and she charged me another $20 because it needed to be hemmed more. I feel like that's on you, for not hemming it right in the first place, and we didn't discuss an additional charge. The first appointment she wasn't writing anything down, I asked her too, she said she would remember. Well each appointment after that either nothing was done or all the changes weren't done and I had to keep coming back. And with each appointment, it was rescheduled due to changes not being done on her end. One appointment she texted the bride to say we needed to reschedule, not me, even though we had a group chat and she had my number. So I showed up for my appointment, and she made it my fault asking why I was even there. Well when you don't communicate, people tend to show up for appointments they have. The work was a 7/10, not bad, but it certainly wasn't amazing out of this world. And for all the time and rescheduling I would have expected a near perfect product, without scratchy fabric. For the bride I was with, she wanted a heart sewn into her dress from her mom's dress on the slit of her dress, this was discussed at 2 appointments. Again nothing was written down she insisted she would remember. We came to her last appointment, 6 days before the wedding. And the heart was sewn into the bust. While I understand the idea and it's nice, it's not what the bride, who's paying for this service wanted. When she asked her to put in another heart she came into the room (bride was upset and stressed) she grabbed the dress, turned around, slammed the dressing room door and yelled Jesus Christ and went back into her sewing room. She later apologized but I'm confused how you're upset at us, the customer, for your mistake. Over all it could have been a great experience, and it just wasn't. Then getting an up charged not discussed, and attitude at the end I could never recommend or go back.

I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding. She went with David's Bridal because she lives in a…read moresmall town, and so must of her wedding party so she went with a chain to make life easier on people. She gave me the color and the pin number. I went to the store, gave the women my friend's name, pulled up the info and it matched mine. A saleswoman went to the floor with me to find the dress. They didn't have the exact color but they did have the dress in a different color. I tried in on, it fit perfect as is. The saleswoman didn't push for alterations. She pulled on the straps a bit and had me twirl, she agreed that I should straight order the size 4. Filled out the paperwork, paid the money. Came back when they said it would be in. It was in way earlier actually. Tried it on, no problems. Left the store, and moved on with my life. Again I didn't need alterations so my experience was totally fine. I felt the dress was overpriced for the quality but its a national chain you're paying for the convenience. I gave it away for one of those high school prom dress donation businesses. The other women in the bridal party had shoes dyed to match the dress. Everyone is the bridal party showed up with different colored shoes, and none of them matched the dress. I'm assuming its some kind of formula for dying, and apparently no one at david's knows what it is. Of course their stores made them pay for it anyway even though they couldn't fix it, but those were different stores than this one in Hamburg. Overall: I wouldn't recommend getting alterations or shoes done at a David's. Otherwise you'll be fine!

I will NEVER do business with David's Bridal ever again! Such a disappointment on the way they do…read morebusiness. I had got a fitting for a bridesmaid dress and was measured for the size I would need. The stylist had said the dress would arrive by end of April due to the short timeframe for the wedding. Well that didn't happen as the dress got delayed and was told it would arrive 3 weeks before the wedding. I was like that cannot happen, that does not give me enough time for alterations. The David's Bridal rep was extremely rude and said its not my problem and take it up with corporate. I mean who is says that?? I call the corporate office and was told the dress needed to be cut to size and would take longer. All the bridesmaids received their dresses but mine is nowhere to be found! After multiple calls to the store and the corporate office, it was decided that the best they could do was give me a dress 2 sizes too big and would have it sent out right away. I asked is there any compensation they could offer for this situation, only could offer 20% discount. I said is alterations going to be possible with this tight timeframe and was then told no they cannot guarantee it would be done in time. Well on the wedding day...the zipper splits apart where I need to be sewn in because the zipper is cheap and garbage like material. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM DAVID'S BRIDAL AGAIN!!! Such a major disappointment and so much money to spend and all this happens!
