Since then repair cost us over $200 I expected Curtis to reach out with something but they haven't. This looks like a classic example of a "Sunset Guarantee". As it turned out, there was rot and delamination in the roof. The seller offered to seal it, but nothing as to the repairs. The toilet sounded sloshy and they promised it was fine. I was too trusting again. I get it home and there is crap and water in it. Yes. They sold it like that. It was missing a stabilizer jack, which they said they'd replace. They ordered the wrong one and I had to go back again to return it and get it right. The lift system stopped working after 30 days and I hired someone to come fix it. That could be due to it being older, but he said it looked like it was not adjusted right from the beginning. All in all, this purchase taught me some painful and expensive lessons on dealing with small dealers and trusting them. Don't. Work with a major dealer and get a written warranty. I tried to resolve the issue offering to sell it back at a loss to me, giving him a chance to make a upset customer a little less so, and never got a reply from him. As a result, I sold it via private party, fully disclosing the issues. And, since then, I have steered several friends in the market away from this establishment.

I disputed the charge with Amex and I am still battling with this joker because he just keeps lying to Amex. He told Amex that all 3 of his locations have signs that say all sales are non-refundable so therefore, I knew about it. I have never been to one of his locations or even been to Portland. I called him from San Diego off a Craigslist ad for a trailer for sale. The ad doesn't say anything about non refundable. Bottom line... Unfortunately, the truck I was sold has turned out to be a complete mess. The truck was shipped to my location and arrived with a dead battery. The driver told me the dealership had to jump start the battery just to get it started. When it arrived, the interior smelled strongly of mold, and the passenger-side carpet was soaking wet. The third brake light and A/C drain were both leaking water into the cab. The radio was completely dead and had to be replaced. There was also a significant coolant leak when the truck arrived, and the low-coolant warning light was already on. After dealing with all of that, I have now put approximately 140 miles on the truck--and the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT is on. The code is P0420, indicating catalytic converter efficiency below the threshold. An OEM catalytic converter is approximately $990, that's just the part cost no installation. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you are considering purchasing a vehicle here. In my experience, you would be better off buying a vehicle somewhere else. I feel like I was sold a vehicle by Harry Wormwood.

I made it clear that I was calling from San Diego and needed time to arrange reasonably priced transportation for the trailer. About a week later, Jim sent me a contract asking me to sign paperwork stating that the deposit was non-refundable and pressured me to complete the purchase that week or lose my deposit. I disputed the $500 charge with American Express. During the dispute, the merchant told Amex that signs at all three of their locations state that sales are non-refundable and claimed that I therefore knew this policy. The problem is simple: I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO ANY OF THEIR LOCATIONS. I have never even been to Portland. I called them from San Diego after seeing their Craigslist advertisement. In my experience, their explanation to American Express completely misrepresents how this transaction occurred. Before doing business with this merchant, I strongly recommend reading the reviews on Yelp and Google and paying close attention to complaints regarding their business practices. Based on my experience, I would never do business with Steve, Jim, or this company again. If you are considering buying anything from them, make sure every representation, deposit term, refund policy, and condition of sale is IN WRITING before giving them a dollar. BUYER BEWARE.
