    Visiting the coast

Rudy and Adrian were wonderful. They went above and beyond to help us find the perfect camper van for us!

My husband and I came to Johnson RV in Sandy to look at their trailers "just to see." We found one we really liked and decided to trade in our older trailer. Jason was super to work with and was very personable and thorough. What he didn't know, he found out. Andrew and Ryan were awesome with the paperwork and the walk-through and the result is we have a new-to-us trailer to take to the beach this weekend! Thank you, Jason!

We bought it from out of state without seeing it, so all the paperwork was done by email/mail. Communication was lacking on the back end, after we had agreed on a price. The paperwork came from Haugen RV, which was odd; no one told me it would come from someone other than Funtime. They also sent all the paperwork to the incorrect address, despite my written instructions with correct address, which took a week or so to figure out. They required that we send full payment based on a one page purchase order with no details as to their obligations to inspect, clean, etc. and before providing any report from the "pre-delivery inspection." They said this was standard procedure, but I thought it seemed strange. I would prefer to know if something turned up on the inspection and to know what each party is agreeing to before sending full payment. More troubling was the filthy condition in which the trailer was delivered to us. The salesperson at Funtime stated by text: "Its in very good shape needs a detail which we will do and a pre delivery inspection." The Haugen general manager who handled the purchase paperwork also confirmed it would be cleaned before shipping. However, it arrived with dirt on the floor and in the drawers/cabinets and smudges and cobwebs on the walls. The bathroom was particularly dirty (see photos). The exterior was also in need of a good scrubbing as the trailer had been stored outside. I emailed the manager to let her know we were disappointed that it was not detailed as promised before delivery (or at least given a basic cleaning!!) and did not receive a response. Spending a weekend cleaning out the previous owner's grime wasn't supposed to be part of the deal. It certainly left us with a bad impression of this dealership.

I refused to pay for added insurance and finance person Vicki lost it. Tore up the finance paperwork and got angry. Sorry you had to retype some papers but pressure sales of insurance sucks and I saved thousands. Don't buy insurance save your money for Amazon. But I can get a cushion replacement if I buy $1200 in ceramic wax job. I bought a better mattress on Amazon for $200 and a bottle of wax for $20. I am $1000 ahead on that alone. The trailer was poorly prepared. Solar not hooked up. Lug nuts not torqued. Sunset 139T. One lug took a full rotation the rest where at about 46 ftlbs. Buy a torque wrench and check your wheels. Not Funtime but terrible electrical work on this rig. Loose live wires. The leaf spring shackle bolt was not tightened. Could have died coming down Santiam Pass. I do like the 139T toy hauler but having to go through a new rv and make it safe sucks. There is a yellow wire on the same screw as the battery before the fuse just hanging out. The reverse wire from pigtail was cut in the household metal junction box, not capped. The fuse from the battery is loose in a metal box exposed terminals that can short out. I got lucky and the axle did not fall off. I found the spring shackle bolts where loose when installing SumoSprings. I have photos and videos. The last photo is at the dealer with a tangle of wires hanging down. That should have stopped me. When they prep it they mean cut the shrink wrap off the cushions. Washington people don't pay tax twice for one sale $1742.27 on $20259 rv plus Wa. Sales tax. I wish had would have noticed. I took my papers to Wa DOL and the wrong amount was withheld for Wa tax. $1782.59 So no plate and when they receive the wrong amount Wa DOL will send it back. Trip permits added cost. First I did order the rebuild kit but just couldn't get the unit out from where Winnebago buried her. The expected 2 hour R&R took an extra 5 hours bc of some baffling wiring problem between the fuse box and the unit. Ordinarily I'd prob be upset but being able to comfortably watch the whole thing through a picture window into the workshop from their high quality recliner massage chair made it enjoyable. It was clear someone was actually working non-stop to get the fix. Mechanic James was diligent but still needed the experienced assist of both owner Jim and his son Mike crawling under to help figure out just what was needed. While in the waiting lounge, Jim stopped by with fresh donuts for my wife and me, the only occupants. How many CEO's provide that personalized level of thoughtfulness? Also received cheerful and helpful scheduling from receptionist Sandy. On top of all that, Jim held to the original price quote he emailed me 6 months ago (April 2025)!! Would not have objected to any reasonable adjustment for all the extra time and some parts too. Sincerely appreciate all this team did. The price was high but the truck looked to be in good condition based on pictures. The truck had close to 200k miles on it so I wanted to get it checked out by a reputable diesel mechanic. I gave them a deposit to hold the truck and I proceeded to look for the closest shop that could do the inspection. My wife and I called Gresham Ford dealership 3 times without a call back. I ended up scheduling the pre-purchase inspection for for the following Tuesday at 9:45AM at Landmark Ford only 20 miles away. I immediately notified the salesman, Brett, of the scheduled inspection, time, day and location. The salesman offered to drop it off the night before the inspection. Zero issues with date, time, and location was communicated to me at that time. Fast forward 1 week to the evening before the inspection and the salesman conveniently notified me that they would not be able to take the truck in due to "insurance" reasons. But offered to take it to a mechanic that they found. Conflict of interest? I disagreed with the way the situation was handled and the extremely late notice. I requested my $500 deposit back which they told me that its been off the market for a week and its not refundable. The CL ad was up and unchanged the entire time, so it wasnt off the market. Then the manager called me over the phone, and treated me very disrespectfully. I was attempting to explain the situation and he told me to "spit it out" and that "I guess you cant afford the truck". If you are looking for an honest place to do business, with respectful people, look elsewhere.

Portland Blue Dog RV 6016 SE 111th Ave…read morePortland, OR 97266 We live near Chehalis, WA . I do not know why the review says, Cottonwood, CA Trailer: NEW 2019 FR Surveyor My experience with Blue Dog RV started with a salesman, Keith, in Kennewick. Everything went good and we were happy. We bought the trailer on August 2, 2019 and returned to Kennewick, WA to pick it up on August 19, 2019 after our vacation. At the dealership, the trailer had an accident where someone left the bathroom door open when they ran the slide in and collided with the BR door. This was the Kennewick's dealership accident and they told my husband and I that they had ordered the new frame part (it was the left vertical part of the frame) on August 2. It seemed to be an easy fix. We did not live anywhere near Kennewick so we asked them to send it to the Portland dealer (we are about an hour and a half from them) which they did. I called the dealer's service area on August 27 and left a message asking for an appt to get this done if the part came in. The service advisor called me back on August 28 and we worked out an appt on September 6th at 9:30 am for the fix. During this time, I sat in the trailer at home to see if I had missed anything in the walkthrough and there were some items that came to my attention. We were told adamantly that we could not fix anything or it voids the warranty so we touched nothing!!! 1. The cook stove's top was on backward (it looked like it was warped) 2. One of the struts for lifting our bed was stapled to a piece of wood that they had also stapled to the bed. I was told that they screwed both struts in the wood so they would work right. 3. 4 of our kitchen drawers would fall out when we were driving. They would not latch right. We were told they were not put in right. 4. The screen door was not latching right. They are supposed to fix it. 5. The bathroom door which was damaged with the slide-out accident was crooked. I wanted it fixed. 6. On the right side of the slide-out, I saw the carpet was all bunched up on the floor. They found out it was not tacked to the floor. 7. When I was sitting at the table and looked at the area where the door hit the frame, the frame looked warped. I want it fixed 8. The frame part damaged fixed. They set up some new work orders for these 8 items and my understanding is that they are all done except for #8 which was the original work order for September 6. The first seven were done in 6 days per Wanda Ensworth's communication. I called the Service Advisor, Wanda Ensworth, on September 12th, she had told me that everything was done BUT not the frame. Now comes the but---um---um talk from her. Kennewick ordered the wrong part (a horizontal part for the top) when I needed the left vertical part. I asked when the part will be in and her answer was iffy, I don't know if it has been ordered yet, while I heard shuffling of paperwork. I am not to sure she knows what she is doing. When you schedule an appt, the shop should be working on the item you had scheduled it for (the frame). Plus if the part is damaged, stolen or wrong part, then you should have told me, the customer, not to come down. (round trip of 3 hours in traffic on 205) We had an appt on September 6th to get that fixed so in my brain as a former Program Assistant, you would order it immediately to replace the wrong one once you saw it when you were doing the scheduled appt. RIGHT???? That is how a business is run to keep your customers happy. As you can see, WE ARE NOT HAPPY AND IT LOOKS LIKE MANY OF YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE NOT HAPPY FROM ALL THE REVIEWS. We left it down there so they could get everything done that needed to be done but since we own the trailer we should have been told what was going on regularly and not trying to find a way to contact you. The whole website information is a joke. You call one number but can't get the service dept. They only had 2 numbers Sales and If you know the Extension. On October 1, I called 3 times, October 2, I called 6 times, once I got a person in Troutdale who gave me an extension that went to someone's message asking for someone to contact me. Didn't happen!!! My last phone call was bitchy and had much irritation in my voice and I asked for a manager to call me. I waited all day yesterday and called again today. Apparently, the number was sent to Kennewick and I talked to the operator and she said she would find someone and get back to me when she can as she did not know anyone from the Portland dealers. When you get the phone number that is on the website, it will be a crapshoot from the start. Lousy website!!!!!!!! And Customer Service!!!!!! From the other reviews, I see this is normal for Blue Dog RV. To date, BLUE DOG RV of Portland has had our Trailer 28 days and we have been waiting for the part for 22 days now. That is 3 weeks for a part that can be shipped expedited shipping as you have a customer waiting for it.

No such thing as "we come to you". A flat out lie that cost me $3,500.00. Nothing but problems, a slew of them, and for 8 months have been trying to get these people to fix my coach to which I've been told repeatedly to "bring it into the shop". Before I bought the coach, I told them I was disabled and was going to live in it. If anything was to go wrong I wouldn't be able to bring it to them. That's when the lie started about the extended warranty. Luckily I had 2 family members with me who witnessed it. The service department needs a new name: "Won't Return Your Calls or Emails Department" So it's only been 8 months and I : Have no water. Leaks in the roof and system. Have no heat or air conditioning. The system turns on BOTH and won't shut down for about 15 minutes after you try to turn it off. No way to cook. Propane lines have leaked since day one. Refrigerator and freezer handles broke the first month. No replacements so far. The rear levelers will not function in hot weather. Surround sound system has never worked from day one. Black tank will not drain. Even though there is nothing in my gray tank...the on board system says it's 3/4 full. Fireplace frame is coming out. The ONLY thing that works is the electricity. Man, that's a LOT of money ($39,000.00) for 4 walls and electricity. Oregon Attorney General here I come. Avoid these people like the plague.
