LOWER EXPECTATIONS, AND YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED After many years of research and development we found our dream RV which turned out to be a class B camper van. Despite all the warnings and advice about the poor service after a sale we felt good about our purchase price and experience with the sales and financing people. We were informed during the sales/financing process that there was a problem with the onboard generator and it needed to be sent out for repair. For a lot of reasons we decided to move forward with completing the purchase which turned out to be a mistake. As all the advice would suggest, once you drive your RV across the curb of the dealership good luck! After days turned into weeks trying to work with the salesman and his boss with no luck, we were referred to another person at the dealership who knew little to nothing about our generator or the plan to repair it. Finally we were contacted by another person from the dealership, but she seemed unable or unwilling to sustain basic updates or communicate a plan to us. We tried repeatedly to work with their designated representative, and after months of frustration we emailed and called (voicemail) the service manager, without any response. Honestly, it's in the title, but he never responded to either forms of communication so it's no wonder that their representative was also terrible at returning emails that she had initiated. After nearly three months we were informed that our generator was ready to be re-installed. The coordination and communication was poor, with little notice and unfulfilled promises: we were told that our RV would be returned clean and fully gassed up as was the condition we gave it to their staff driver. We got our RV returned and we're happy to have it home, but the quarter tank of gas and filthy exterior was consistent with the deplorable service we experienced with Johnson RV of Sandy, Oregon. We love our class B and look forward to many years of exploration and special moments, but I would never take our rig to them for any type of service again! read more

I'm not sure why its called premium RV Dealership. I flew to pick up our 2017 Jayco Melbourne. As I was about 45 min down (15 hour trip back home) the road the RV started shaking when I hit 60 mph. I had to stop at a tire shop to find out all the tires were completely out of balance. This is after paying cash for a $120,000 RV. I ended up waiting at tire shop for 4 hours to be fixed right after I picked it up.  The manager called me back to tell me they only test drive it at 55 mph because the road in front of their dealership is only allowed this. Again anyone that's drives an RV knows you go faster than 60mph while driving across the country and why would you not test that if you call yourself a premium RV dealership. Once I got it home I'm having nothing but problems with it. I've only owned it for 7 months and I've only taken it on four small trips close to home and Ive had something go wrong on each trip. The heater isn't working, the refrigerator isn't working, the electric shade above bunk is stuck and isn't working and the outside awning came completely off with a small gust of wind and found out it was only being held on with 4 screws. Paid 120k for an RV and I can get heat or use the fridge. Two very important things you need and want in an RV. It's very disappointing to spend this amount of money on an RV and not be able to enjoy it. I would be very happy if I could trade this back and get an RV that works. No good experiences here at all. Looked at 3 or 4 motorhomes here on different occasions. They would consistently take up at least an hour of my time qualifying me just to get to see one they had advertised. Most inventory is purchased at repo auctions, condition is sketchy at best and they will white wash stuff. When it comes to putting something their on consignment or selling, forget it. You will be low balled and remember one of their tactics is to take up a lot of your time. So much so that you will have a vested interest is taking whatever weak deal they offer you. As far as the body shop goes: considers one of the worst in the Portland area. read more

From my previous review I received a message from Johnson RV who said that someone would be contacting me. Of course that never happened. Send a message to Pablo in March still waiting to hear from him about the water leak. Send a message to Pablo two days ago about the "new dryer" that has broken down twice now and the corroded batteries that they put in our RV in February still have not heard anything. It's almost like they don't exist any longer. Why did they bother responding to the first message if they weren't going to at least try to contact us back? Overall great experience! We almost bought from a private party but in the end we're glad we didn't. We got a fair price from Johnson RV but it was the 70 point inspection, interior and exterior detail, and the red carpet walkthrough tutorial that were great extras and added value we wouldn't have received via private party. The staff was helpful but didn't pressure us. Start to finish we interacted with five different staff members and departments and they were all great. We'd absolutely recommend Johnson RV and not hesitate to do business with them again! read more

Waited 5 1/2 hours to get an estimate for repairs. I mistakenly thought there would be repairs done but was never informed that it was only an estimate. I also wanted to look at an RV on their lot and the salesperson I was dealing with disappeared saying he had to talk to his manager. 2 hours later I had to text him find out if he could show me the RV I was interested in. In my frustration over the whole ordeal, after I got home, I emailed a complaint to both the sales manager and the service manager. I heard from neither only a salesperson who wanted too sell me an RV even after I said in my email Im not sure I ever want to do business with their organization again. read more

If there was an option for 0 stars I'd use it. Headed out to camp with my best friends parents. They were having an issue getting a slide in all the way. They stopped in on our way out of town. Their service department wouldn't talk to them because they didn't purchase their trailer there. Service is service no matter where the trailer was purchased. No way they will ever go back for any reason as we won't either. Customer service should be the top priority. I know it is to my in my profession. Have to live their response which is. We stopped by Johnson RV on our way home from Mt Hood because our electric tongue jack had quit working. We were pretty sure it was a fuse gone bad, but we were not sure which one it was. Although they were busy, Brooke, the service advisor found Skylar, the accessory manager, who came out and found the culprit right away. He said there was some corrosion that needed cleaning up and it should work just fine. He cleaned it all out and we were on our way within about 10 minutes. Even though it was a quick fix, we were impressed they found someone to take care of it right away and sent us on our way. We will be using them from now on for all our service needs. My husband and I were expecting a positive experience with Johnson RV. We spoke to Austin on the phone and negotiated a price on our 2 year old motorhome. A date was arranged to inspect our motorhome. Since we had it inspected from the top of the roof to the tires we knew it was in excellent condition. Also it's beautiful. A luxury motorhome. My husband and I decided to sell because of lingering health reasons. If you decide to sell your RV to Johnson RV be prepared for the inspector who will arrive at your home to "find" a problem. Unless you are selling your RV at a price that will only be in the favor of Johnson RV, even though you have negotiated a fair price that will benefit both parties, you very well could end up as shocked as we were at the outcome. Such a waste of time! We sent them packing. A very bad experience. read more

My previous review was about the sales side of the experience. That went well. This review is about the service side and the delivery of the new coach. The MH was delivered and they went through all of the normal operations and sent us on our way. Went camping that day and had no hot water and automatic step was going in and out and would not stay open. Called service department (hard to get to talk to a live person, by the way) and they said bring it in and I said send a tech. Went around and around and finally they sent a tech to the campsite, 13 miles away (Yea Ryan!) and he found the hot water hearer was in bypass mode and had no water in it (done at the factory and not checked by the service department?). Long story short, they had to replace the hot water heater. Step was found to have a blown fuse. Later found out that the Bluetooth for the MH radio did not have a mic so I could not talk to people. They ordered a new mic and guess what, they ordered the wrong one (wrong manufacturer), even after I sent them a picture of the unit. Other small things were found that I corrected that should have been found during their inspection of the unit. The service department needs some serious attention at this place. From answering the phones to getting things right for the customer the first time. All of the items noted above should have been caught during their pre-delivery inspections. Maybe it is because they do mostly preowned sales and are not set up for new vehicle sales, or their training is lacking or they just don't care. I don't know what it is, but it does need to change. On the positive side, everything seems to have finally been repaired and Mikelle in the sales department has been more than generous. She paid for our stay and the RV park, bought us dinner and filled up the rig with diesel and LP when we brought it in to have the hot water heater replaced. If not for the sales people, this location would have received 1 star and no stars if possible. read more

From the beginning of our experience to the end, it has been amazing! These people care about you and their knowledge is unbelievable on Winnebago trailers! The trailer that we bought is so fantastic and the quality is unbelievable! We will have many years of wonderful memories and this trailer is going to last us because it is built solid! Johnson RV was eager to sell you a trailer and an extended warranty but they don't care when something goes wrong. They don't get you in for months. They don't disclose stuff that isn't covered but tell you to read the fine print. You go to get it fixed and parts didn't get ordered. They tell you they are going to mail them to you and they don't. They hire unreliable help and they don't back what they told you. They gave an excuse for everything. Our warranty wore out because of all the delays and it cost us $500. They didn't care a bit!!! The product quality here is not even a question. The units are clean and ready to go and typically they disclose the known issues..... BUT That said, the sales staff and sales managers must think that the average buyer is a complete dunce. With pricing typically 20-30k over NADA average you would THINK naturally that's your place to negotiate. NOT at Johnson RV, they literally think their S#!+ don't stink. Any dealer can polish turds! Do your research before you sign or you'll be writing them a check for 20k too much. Like the men's warehouse guy says, I'll guarantee it! Find your RV, research it and you WILL find it elsewhere. For less! RV details are like $1000 tires are $350-400 each you can outsource your turd polish after you buy elsewhere and recondition it yourself. And you will still pay less Oh and if you're real lucky your sales guy will text your significant other back handed statements in a twisted ass attempt to pin them against you in their court. News flash we all talk to each other when you're not around! Buy somewhere else. read more

After making so many loving memories with my children and my lovely wife, it is time for me to let my faithful RV go. My wife received a post card from Johnson RV last Christmas and kept it. So, I sent an email to Johnson then Dan called me back in few hours. During our first conversation back in July, I told Dan that I was. It ready to sell the RV until late August due to my vacation arrangement with my wife. Regardless, Dan did show me his professionalism and do a very good job on explaining to me how does the selling process work and asked me to send him some pictures of my RV when I am ready to proceed. Dan called me back to follow up after my wife and I have returned from our vacation. He did remember exactly all the details that I have mentioned to him while we were on the phone. He showed me that not only he knows what he is doing but also be very fair to his company as well as to my interests. He can point put something from the pictures that I sent him which I don't even recognize or aware of. He is a very detail oriented and "follow-thru" person. After a short telephone conversation, he accepted my counter offer on the sales price and the rest were history! All I can say about my experience with Johnson RV was great simply because of Dan! My experience with Johnson was not great. It started out fine, they have a nice indoor showroom full of a mix of mostly used and some new RVs, and the salesperson that was helping us let us explore on our own without being pushy. But if you find something used that you like there, you're only going to be able to buy it if you're prepared to overpay for it. When I went in prepared to negotiate a reasonable price for one, having not only done my research but also having seen the original purchase receipt (which they had - I'm sure unintentionally - left in a packet of manuals and other paperwork in the RV), I watched my salesman turn on a dime from friendly to rude. When I started with a low offer to match their ridiculously high initial price (which was higher than the *MSRP* was when it was new 2 and a half years ago), he came back with a bottom line price that was still over $7,000 higher than the $112,900 the original owners had paid for it. Yes, Johnson RV apparently believes that these things actually appreciate in value. He then told me he had another buyer it was "already sold to" at that price if I didn't buy it first. This was three weeks ago, and I still see it on their site, so I'm guessing that other buyer either never existed or was similarly wise enough not to pay such an absurd price. The distinct impression I got from Johnson was that they're in the business of parting fools from their money, and they lost interest in me when it became apparent that I was no fool. Unless you're one, I'd suggest visiting Johnson RV to get a good look at the various options for Class B RVs, and then finding one to purchase elsewhere. read more

My wife and I bought our 1st class A motorhome which had everything we ever want and only 12k miles minus the tow package in which we can have installed down the road. Great salespeople, very professional. We purchased it February 3rd but they needed to keep it for the 1st week to check it all-out which we were impressed with along with the 60 day warranty. We drove it 700 miles to southern Oregon and back to see our grandson wrestle and on that trip the ck Engine light came on and over 50mph the steering has a bad shake to it so we took it back that following Monday asking why these problems weren't noticed on the 1 week inspection w/Chuck the SM just shook his head with a we'll check into it. We're over 4 months down the road now and no updates unless I inquire with most msgs not responded to. I've talked to Svc Mgr, Sales Mgr, my salesmen, left email for Owner Brandon Johnson 3 wks ago who just forward my email to svc mgr who said we'll ck on it daily and keep you informed til it gets fixed . In 4 months it's been to Les Schuab 2wice ,the Ford truck shop 2wice with fingers pointing but since business has not been affected for Johnson RV I'm still just an inconvenience. No one to take responsibility and get it fixed, just let it slide. I've paid $2k in payments along with my $5k down and $240. in insurance premiums on this and only 4DAYS of usage. Help What can I do??? And they Call it SERVICE???? read more

These guys are good to deal with. I dealt with their Senior Buyer Bob Humphrey and he didn't skip a beat. He gave me a fair cash offer and his follow up at every stage was excellent. I started the process of selling our trailer by contacting Fun Time RV where we bought the RV new. We really weren't using it enough so it was time to sell. However the contrast was amazing. Fun Time didn't follow up and Johnson did at every turn. Needless to say if I buy another RV it will be from Johnson RV because of their excellent service. read more

Kudos to Emily in service. She is so awesome. When I purchased my RV a year ago I also purchased the warranty. Well thankfully I did this and thankfully Johnson RV honored it without question. Emily stayed in touch with me as I waited for my new generator to arrive. Yes....a new generator. Everything that was in need of repair has been fixed or replaced. And kudos to Lucas and Lee, the service techs who worked on my RV. I highly recommend Johnson RV. In the past they had service issues but it is obvious to me that they have worked hard to improve. We purchased a brand new motor home from Johnson RV and several months later and two trips in for items to be fixed we have a motor home that still needs items to be repaired . This last time they left drawer pulls off the drawers and they did not fix important items that they said they fixed--- the leveling system! I am so disappointed in their customer service and their integrity. They had no problem taking our money and trying to upswell us on every item possible, yet they have extreme difficulty in following through to make sure the items they sold are in solid working order! Not only will we not purchase from them in the future, I will not recommend them to anyone. Maybe they have enough business and don't need return customers. read more

It took filing a complaint with the Washington state BBB to get my issue resolved. Johnson RV reimbursed us with most of the expense incurred due to the toilet biohazard. For future reference if buying a previously owned RV, get in writing from the dealer that they will be responsible for repair of unseen problems at the time of purchase. read more

A couple of words of caution: They charge top dollar for their used motor homes so I thought that they would have checked the rig out. The dealer pointed out that it had new tires, but last year we had three terrifying BLOWOUTS at highways speed. This year we had two tread separations. This was with constant checking on tire pressure. (we also had one other flat) We are now nervous about any more trips. Stay away from the Hercules brand of tire! We now have all new tires from Les Schwabb. Very expensive but I hope that we will loose our fear of trips. I did discover a new diet through our travels. I lost 17 pounds last year and 12 this year (it was a shorter trip). I call this the "high anxiety diet". I was told about their check list and asked for a copy and received a blank copy. Ask for a copy of the check list that was done on your rig. Before we left the lot we found a leak in the sewer tank drain valve and the windshield wipers did not work properly. The parking brake does not work. They did fix the first two but not the parking brake. I noticed that the motor oil was old and they did change that and they cleaned the front part of the engine compartment because I told them that it looked like it had never been opened. On the day that we picked it up, they had tacked on a $1,200 cleaning and coating fee which we had not asked for. I finally got out of that when I asked for them to show me where I had signed for that. Just be careful out there. After talking to the sales manager (who was very apologetic). She mentioned that if we had called after the tire trouble she would have tried to help us. We had purchased an extended warranty which did not include tires so I did not bother. read more
