I traveled to Portland for a camper they had for sale. There had been considerable communication before I made the trip. They seemed legitimate and I did purchase the vehicle. On the first trip, the car filled with smoke from a motor fire. Second, they had used an electrical cord to provide power to the house. That was because the internal power did not work. Traveling, connected to a power supply only, is not appropriate for campers. Their solution was deceptive to say the least. So, when dealing with Bob's auto, be very cautious and get an independent evaluation. They are in it for a quick profit and don't seem to have any ethics, other than buyer beware. read more

We bought a car from Bob's Auto Sales, and it was everything that we were expecting!!!!. Everything on the car was in working order, it was clean and was a good car. they even gave us a good deal on it!!!! When you buy a used car, you can't expect it to be perfect at the price they ask for, but they tell you if there are problems with a car and cars that need a lot of work are just not for sale. 0Wanted to purchase an RV from this dealership and asked if the price included a PDI, chassis repair, maintenance etc. As the motorhome was priced at full market value. Was then told the motorhome is as is, and it did not include any repairs if something was inoperable or needed maintenance performed. I found it odd to make the purchase at full market value and have the potential of multiple items inoperable or needing maintained that could cost thousands of dollars. Even asked if i could get a list of items inoperable, and that was something they said they would not provide either. I was told i could do my own inspection, but if things were found inoperable it still wouldn't make a difference and any items found would still not be repaired. The RV being listed at full market value, I found it difficult to make the purchase with zero guarantee anything works. Was very disappointing to see how the dealership operates. The salesman is a narcissist and I would strongly advise to nervr biy anything from this dealership at full market price with zero guarantee anything works or has been maintained. read more

Laughably terrible. My husband is a mechanic and knows what he's talking about. First, the car we were looking at was completely overpriced. When we got to look at it, we noticed an awful noise under the car. The sales man made my husband diagnosis it as a ball joint problem because he apparently didn't know what was wrong with his own car. We asked to trade in our ranger and he went to talk to another guy. Then this guy comes out and is SO RUDE! They didn't even know what they were talking about with what makes a car valuable. They price cars based on looks. The sales men ganged up on us and used insults to try and dominate the conversations. They tried to tell a weird story about how much it'll cost them to work with the DMV to be able to sell the ranger we wanted to trade in, $1,700, and the amount of BS that was is unbelievable. The two sales men tried to guilt us into feeling bad for THEM. Sir, you don't use victimization to sell cars, that lazy and so gross. The toxic masculinity was in overdrive, I honestly felt bad for the weird world they created for themselves where their lives suck so much so we should give them lots of money out of pity? Bottom line: they know nothing about cars, are huge jerks, and need a lot of therapy to know how to be a productive part of society. read more

I purchased an older truck for a second vehicle and was happy with the whole experience. I was a little nervous buying from them because of all the bad reviews, but they had the truck that I wanted so I risked it and so far so good. They arranged for same day delivery to my home which is 1 1/2 hours away. As soon as my check cleared, they sent me the title paperwork. The truck is still running with no surprises so far. Hope this helps, I'd say just be sure to test drive the vehicle and have it checked by a mechanic before buying if you have someone that can check it. read more

Went in to buy a newer used car, at first the salesmen were nice and helpful and didnt hound me. Found a car I liked so I bought it with cash and, the tags were expired and while talking to the manager we agreed if it failed i could get my money back (should have got it in writing). I took it to deq to have it tested and it failed. Went back to the dealer and he denied everything. I asked to talk to the owner and instead I got his son who was a horrible person, he wouldnt let my wife speak so I told him im done talking to him and want the owner so he proceded to tell me to f@#k off (what a business man). All I can say is I will never go there again and will tell everyone that asks me where a good place to get a used car this will definately be told not to go near with a 10 foot pole. read more

These guys make "slime ball" salesman look good. I went in to look at an SUV and was paying cash. The sales rep was apparently deaf because he started to insist that I look at this newer pickup they got in on trade. To humor him and myself I asked him to start the pickup. The timing was way off and you could hear the lifters which is never a good sign. I mentioned this to the sales rep and he insisted that the truck was in perfect condition. I gave him a nod and told him he was "a fool wearing an ugly tie". As he stared at me stunned by my honest remark I walked off the lot. DO NOT attempt to give these guys an opportunity to earn your businesses. Your better off looking at other dealerships. read more

Save yourself a lot of stress and trouble and find a different dealer to do business with. Bob's Auto Sales is the type of dealer you have nightmares about. We actually purchased an RV from Bob's Auto Sales. They answered their phone as Bob's RV, but apparently Bob's RV and Bob's Auto Sales are the same business. Either that or they hosed so many people they had to start selling RVs instead of cars. When we looked at the RV we ended up *sigh* buying, it was conveniently parked so that we could not get on top of the roof. We were assured over and over that the roof was fine, however. (Always follow a woman's intuition, I had doubts but my husband thought I was being paranoid) We were also assured that the RV would be cleaned and that a sewer hose would be included. Upon delivery, my husband and I spent many hours cleaning the RV out and had to go buy the sewer hose that wasn't included. A month after running the AC, the ceiling started to drip. My husband got on the roof and about fell though when he stepped off the ladder. I called Bob's RV, and they sent a repair man out. The repair man took one look at the roof and told us the whole thing was shot and our only option was to replace it. I called Bob's RV several times the next few days and the owner, Bobby finally called me back. He wasn't willing to do anything that was inconvenient for him or that would be money out of his pocket. I was interrupted during our entire conversation and talked to like a child. Maybe one day Bobby will figure out that his customers are his business. Of course we signed an as-is paper. I have come to the conclusion that these papers are the only thing that keep businessmen like Bobby in business. I would like to think that most businesses would have enough integrity and compassion for their customers to fix major issues such as an entire roof repair, but I can promise that Bob's RV lacks both entirely. read more

When I asked if we could test drive the car I was told that if I did not intend to purchase it, it was a waste of time. This is my first time ever having an experience with a car salesperson that went so badly all because he approached us with some kind of bias from the beginning. I give this place a one star rating, it really doesn't deserve it though. I went in to look at a 2000 Ford Mustang which they had listed on Craig list . com. I was met in the lot by some slimy salesman (I believe his name was Terry) I start looking at the car and asked if I could look under the hood. He agreed to that which was nice since I'm a girl and most salesman look at me like I'm stupid when I ask that. Then he wanted to know if I was looking to finance the car, which I was. I already have one car financed, which I told him. Then I asked if I could test drive the car, it took him about a full minute to think about that! Then he told me no, that I needed to finance the car first! I don't want to finance a car that I haven't even driven! If it doesn't drive well I don't want to buy it! My boyfriend and his boss went back a few days later. Apparently you have to have a penis in order to test drive any of their cars in stock. He gave my boyfriend no hassles when he asked to drive it and didn't start talking price until after he got done. Hmmm, sexist much? Regardless, I won't be going back there! Hi I can only speak to the salesman and crew I was dealing with. Rick was the salesman Jeff was the tech. Rick suggested we come down and check it out. He never pushed and we examined 2 class c motorhomes. they were not what we were looking for, Rick was very nice and thanked us for coming in. My girlfriend and went to check the rest of the inventory. We found a Class A we really liked but had never driven one. Rick suggested a test drive. Jeff took us out he was very nice and helpful. We decided to think it over. We ended up getting a different coach. The point is the people we dealt with, the price seemed very fair. We would surely go back and recommend by our experience. read more

I went to check out this ford ranger they had. It was really awesome and I liked it but some things made me wary of it since the check engine light was on. I wanted to take it for a spin to make sure everything checked out. The salesman said no, unless I'm buying it right that minute. Luckily, as I was turning it off, it made a worrying noise. But anyways, just want them to know, they ALMOST had a sale from me since I was pretty intrigued by the truck. I'd much rather buy from a different place from people who actually have manners than buy a truck that I want from rude, inconsiderate people who want to push a sale. read more
