A Costly Lesson in Deception - Beware of McKenna Audi I purchased an Audi from McKenna in 2020 and initially had a decent experience--until I learned the hard way how they operate. During a routine oil change a year after my purchase, I was offered what seemed like a great deal: a discounted brake service for $1,900 to be used when needed. It was sold to me as a prepaid service, not an extended warranty with an expiration date. Naturally, I took the offer, thinking I was securing a future brake service at a lower cost. Fast forward to March 6, 2025--I take my car in for service, spend $1,800 on motor mounts, and I'm informed that my prepaid brake service expired on February 21, 2025--just two weeks prior. No reminders, no courtesy notice--just gone. When I questioned this, McKenna's response was essentially, "Not our problem." I was told to contact Audi USA, who then directed me to Audi Supreme Care, which turned out to be Safeguard, the third-party provider. They informed me that what I actually purchased was an extended service contract, which had expired. They then advised me to go back to McKenna's service department and see if they could work something out with Safeguard. When I called McKenna back, I spoke with Ron, the Service Manager, who immediately washed his hands of the issue. He blamed the Finance Department for not notifying customers when warranties expire. I reminded him that a service department employee sold me the brake service--not finance. His response? "Well, none of those employees are here anymore." (That alone raises questions--why the high turnover?) Determined to escalate the issue, I spoke to Dalius, the General Manager, on March 11, 2025. I explained to him that I was sold a $2,500 brake service for $1,900, not an extended warranty. His response? "The contract expired, and there's nothing we can do." As a so-called "solution," he offered me a discount on a new brake service--except now, the same service costs $5,000. Even at a 50% discount, I'd still be paying what I was originally quoted without a discount. So, they keep my $1,900, and I'm expected to pay again for something I already purchased? That's robbery. Out of sheer frustration, I asked if at least my recent $1,800 motor mount service could be discounted. Dalius said he would "look into it" and get back to me. It's been a week--no call, no resolution, nothing. Final Thoughts McKenna Audi's sales tactics are deceptive. Their employees misrepresent services, fail to disclose critical details, and when caught, they pass the blame. They take your money and leave you with zero recourse. I used to respect the Audi brand. Now? McKenna has completely tainted my experience. I feel ripped off. If you're considering doing business with McKenna Audi, beware. Their service department is a revolving door, their finance team lacks transparency, and their management is unresponsive when issues arise. Would I ever buy from McKenna again? I do not recommend this car dealership based on my latest experience leasing from them. For context, I had previously leased 2 vehicles from them. The specifics in this review are based on my 3rd lease which I entered a few years ago. Beware of hidden/unexpected fees. For example, "market value adjustment" from $5k to $10 above MSRP. The car I leased was MSRP $44,354 and Mc Kenna's asking price with all the markups ended up being $51,990. When I turned in the leased car I was charged $450 disposition fee and $450 for excess wear and tear, for a small rock crack in the windshield (that could be repaired for much cheaper). I have leased 6 cars and I have never had to pay such fees, usually just excess mileage. I will never return to this dealership. read more

I emailed, no response, so I call 3 days later and get Anna at the front, she transferred me to Service, nobody answers and VM box is full so I call back...they don't answer the phone. So now I am curious if screening calls, so I call from my other line and answers on the first ring. Anna tells me she doesn't know how she can help me and basically lets a sale go right out the window. Here is a novel idea, ping service to pick up the line while I am on hold, or transfer to a manager who can address why a VM is full and unable to receive messages. BUYER BEWARE -- DECEPTIVE PRICING PRACTICES McKenna Audi just showed me why car dealers have such a bad reputation. Their website clearly advertised a 2025 Audi SQ8 Prestige at MSRP -- but when I came in to buy, they dropped a bombshell: * $10,000 "market adjustment" (because... reasons) * $13,000 for paint protection film (that's worth maybe HALF of that) * $3,500 for powder‑coated wheels NONE of that was disclosed on the online listing. That's over $26,000 in hidden, mandatory charges. California law is clear: you cannot advertise a price and then refuse to sell the vehicle for that price by claiming undisclosed, required add‑ons. See California Vehicle Code §11713.1(b) & (e). And don't tell me "dealer sets price." If you don't intend to sell for MSRP, don't advertise it at MSRP. This is misleading, predatory, and illegal. DMV's Investigations Division and the Bureau of Automotive Repair will be hearing about this -- and so will anyone who reads this review. Dealers like McKenna Audi ruin the buying experience by wasting people's time and hiding behind fine print instead of being upfront and ethical. My issue was not regarding the credit situation which should be kept confidential and not announced on a public platform. As mentioned previously, my issue was with the manager's disrespectful attitude and degrading comments. I did not mention in my original post, but I will disclose why I ended up leaving the dealership. As previously mentioned, I was not upset because of my credit history. When we were sitting at the table discussing the details of the car and pricing with Yoshin (sales associate), she called her manager Dalius who came to us not only because of my credit but because I noticed online that the car was falsely advertised. I tried to show him on my phone the interior color description which was posted online as black when the interior was actually gray in person. I wanted this car specifically for the exterior and interior color that was being advertised online. I drove and hour and half each way just to find out the interior was not black. When I turned my phone to show Dalius, he looked at me like I was crazy and told me he can't read and has bad eyesight then walked away telling us goodbye in rude demeanor. After leaving, Yoshin came after us outside the dealership and profusely apologized to us regarding her manager's behavior. After arriving home, Yoshin texted my brother's phone apologizing and asking if she can run my credit through a different credit checking source. My brother said no and they ran my credit anyways. Based off of previous reviews, it is evident that Dalius has poor customer service skills.
