Even though I always seek 3 quotes before confirming a project, Progressive always provides a great deal. Their work is top-notch. I can't believe how fast they work and how clean they leave the job. Also, their proposal and payment portal is very easy to use and convenient. The 3 services I had them do were: 2021: Removal of dying crabapple tree 2023: Removal of all shrubs in the front and sides of our property 2024: Removal of all shrubs in the sides of our property in preparation for a fence. At this point, I don't think I have any more trees or shrubs left for them to remove, but I wouldn't recommend anyone else for any tree/shrub service needed. Thank you Progressive!

Eric must've been having an asshole day!…read more I was eager to proceed with this company's services. After reaching out to schedule service via the provided number, 1 (847) 852-6001, I was assured that I would receive a call back by 2 p.m. I even took the initiative to text a copy of the contract for reference. However, I was left waiting until approximately 5 p.m. the following day to hear back, long past the promised time. Disappointed by the delay and lack of communication, I decided to engage another company, RGP Tree Service (https://www.chicagotreeremovalcompany.com), who promptly completed the job. Unfortunately, when I informed the individual, I had initially spoken with about my decision, his response was, "Why did I waste his damn time?!". He then abruptly ending the call. Despite my attempts to reach out afterward, I was met with his voicemail. Left with no alternative, I left a message expressing my disappointment at his unprofessional conduct. His subsequent text instructing me to stop calling only added to my disappointment. Rather than addressing the issue at hand, it only served to further highlight the lack of professionalism displayed throughout this interaction. In response, I matched his energy in my response text. My guess is that this guy must have been one of the owners or the owner. I do not believe an hourly employee would have the confidence to address a customer in the disrespectable fashion that he did. There…read morewas severe damage throughout our neighborhood and along the gas line adjacent to the back of our property. We had a silver maple tree in our back yard that had to be 100 years old. We have lived here since 1976. Brown Tree service had cleaned and trimmed our trees 4 times over the years. The wind that blew through ripped off 4 major branches 12-18 inches in diameter. 2 landed in our garden bed on top of our potatoes, 1 landed on our fence, and 1 landed on another garden bed of ours. Our tree was not diseased at all. In fact, the branches that were ripped off looked very healthy. We called our Aborist, Ken Brown that night. When he was able to get back to us (about a half hour) he'd be here by 6:30 the next morning. He was true to his word. He walked out back, surveyed the damage and said that this was going to be a removal, not a salvage. He said he would have a crew on site within an hour. Again he was true to his word, the crew was "johnny on the job". The crew worked so well together. They also had to take care of another tree that had also lost a branch but just needed minor cleanup. Ken was by several times while they were working. It took all day but the clean up was fantastic. He told us that because of the other tree damage around the area he would be back the following week to grind out the stump. Once again, on the following Wednesday, his man showed up and really ground out the stump. He was here for three hours making sure that the stump was ground out almost a foot below ground level. Ken Brown has always done a professional job maintaining our trees and did a superlative job. We plan to replace our tree this fall after consulting with Ken. We wouldn't trust anyone else to do it. My realtor was extremely pleased with the results as well. The most critical part of the Tree Service was the fact that three of the trees, that were removed, were intertwined with the electrical power service wires. He asked me to text him pictures of what I wanted done, so I did. He was very quick to give me a quote, which I said was reasonable and agreed. So, I texted him and asked him if he is still coming and told him to call me anytime. He replied and said, "ok." He still didn't come. I texted him a few more times, called him (no answer), and emailed him. I never received a reply. The next day, I wrote an email and text to him asking him what had happened as I don't want to write a negative review without first discussing the matter. He never replied. It has been 6 days now, and still no reply. So unfortunately, I have to give this company 1 star. They never showed up, never gave me an explanation why and I lost a vacation day in the process.
