We saw more birds than people as I think most folks just go to the beach. This park includes three distinct environments... beach, freshwater marshes and forest all very close to each other, with easy-to-follow unmarked trails and clean public bathrooms. We walked and explored and enjoyed for several hours, seeing osprey with young chicks, a pileated woodpecker, herons, ducks, a variety of stunning warblers, a loggerhead shrike and more! We also saw a variety of native butterflies and plants/trees/flowers, so I contributed those identifications since that's more my area of expertise. I was thrilled to see, for the first time in my life, the elusive Blue-Winged Warbler! Score! While I didn't obtain a photo, the sighting was definite and confirmed by my friend / guide / birding expert! Life is great when a small group of friends explore a beautiful and serene park, taking our time to really take it all in and as a bonus, I am able to add to my growing bird life list.

The beach is nice and wide, so plenty of space to spread out. The beach is also clean! There are lifeguards, but not this day. I think they are there typically in the summer.

As the sun drops toward the horizon, the sky fills with incredible colors and the reflection across the water makes for a picture-perfect scene. It's one of those moments where people naturally stop, watch, and take it all in. The pier itself is a great place to stroll, relax, and enjoy the coastal atmosphere. You'll often see street performers, small vendors, and families gathering for the nightly sunset celebration, which adds to the energy without taking away from the beauty of the view. If you're visiting Clearwater Beach, Pier 60 is a must-see spot. The sunsets alone make the trip worthwhile, and it's an easy place to slow down for a few minutes and enjoy one of the best natural views on the Gulf Coast.

Growing up close to this area, I think I took how soft the sand was for granted, but not anymore! I also love the lively atmosphere around the pier, with local vendors selling unique items and fun activities for families, including trampolines and bounce house water slides for kids. There's almost always live performance shows of breakdancers on a regular basis too. There's always something to enjoy whether you're walking the pier, watching the sunset, or just relaxing by the water. If it's too much activity going on, it doesn't take much to walk down further to more quiet and less crowded parts of the beach. Also keep in mind the time of year of your visit, like Spring Break season gets really busy. There are also plenty of big umbrella stations with lounge chairs nearby for hourly rent close to the hotels. It's a perfect destination for anyone looking to enjoy a classic Florida beach experience. Tip: if you are driving it's best to park in the Surf Shop garage where they have frequent daily specials or if you are lucky to find metered parking.

The park itself is very clean and nicely laid out with a cool splash pad for children to play in as well as a nice little park with stuff to climb and slide down and around on. I like that the park had some really clean bathrooms and the stalls didn't have any gaps when I closed the door. Being able to walk around this park and see some beautiful views of the water was something that was very cool because it is right off the water! No matter where I was walking there was something to see and enjoy. There was also a ton of seating around the park so I didn't have to sit on the floor or sit in the way of anyone. I also love that there are both stairs and ramps so that everyone is able to enjoy this park!

Also, during this event they had the bathrooms of the music venue open, which was really nice. I liked being able to walk up the hill between the music venue ans the library to see what it would be like to be sitting on the lawn for a concert and to also see the seating area for concerts. At the top of the hill, near where some construction is now taking place, are the murals. I love murals! They bring joy to the park. Parking isn't great. I parked far away on the street for free. The lot I parked next to is not free during concerts but was also free duringbthis daytime festival. I definitely will attend more events here.

Absolutely loved this island!…read more I have an annual pass for state parks so I didn't have to get into honeymoon island itself. A short drive to the paying booth for taking the ferry from honeymoon to caladesi. It is $20 dollars but they do take military discount too! The two guys on the boat are very funny guys. The captain loves to tell dad jokes and the other tells you fun facts about the islands. It's a short ride to caladesi. Once we arrived there was lots to explore however my friend and I just had a beach day. There is construction going on due to the past hurricanes but there is bathrooms, a cafe, and plenty of shade and trails! I can't wait to go back and explore more. The ferry takes off from honeymoon every hour and from caladesi every half hour. Highly recommend a day trip here!! Water is so nice.

For a small fee you can take the ferry there and back and you are able to bring coolers, umbrellas, beach chairs or whatever you might need for a relaxing day at the beach. They do have a small snack bar to get burgers and things like that and there is also a small store to buy essentials such as sunscreen. If you're looking for a pristine, clean not overcrowded beach where you can get some beautiful seashells then this is the place for you!
