This location is accurately described. There is a Pier near a small park and group of hotels. The Pier vendors set up two hours before sunset and depart two hours after sunset. Performers, musicians and comedians gather at the bottom of the Pier. It is a creative way to attract a crowd. There are bathrooms and a few restaurants across from the Pier. You can find lots of shopping and dining within just a few blocks. We were careful to have our pockets zipped and we took cross body bags. It is easy to get distracted with a large group of people. The top of the pier allows fishing. It costs a dollar to enter the gated area. It is super windy at the end of the pier. Watch your ball caps! read more

If you want to see the most amazing sunset, ( Clearwater is famous for its sunset) Pier 60 is the best place to go! The best place to see the best sunset! If you're a photographer like me, there is a lot to take colorful photos. especially when small boats pass right across the sun. its very beautiful, I was able to capture a few clicks with ships. Pier extends out over the ocean. Places to get food and drink if desired. The end of the pier has an admission fee( $1 only) and is only open for a few hours a day. Most of the visitors stay back behind the "admission" area, so if you do pay the fee, you don't have nearly the number of people to contend with. It's quieter down there and more places to sit and enjoy the sunset without crazy levels of noise around you. On our way back out, there were several talented performers in the park. an escape artist, a metal statue man (he did a great job), and several singers. All of this is family-friendly too. They also had a movie showing on the park lawn. The parking lot is nearby, $1.25/hour and also it is at 490 Poinsettia Ave, Clearwater, FL 33767, so you are set for parking. read more

I figured I should do an update of my two star review of this event (see below) as there have been some changes: On my recent visits to the Pier during the "Sunsets" event, the music I complained about in my prior review wasn't blasting at such a high volume. Sometimes, the loudspeakers were even off. And when they did play music, it wasn't the kind that "attracts the wrong element". Instead, it was the kind of music that attracts...people like me. It is as if those in control of the sound system read my critical Yelp review and did something about it. (Although I didn't hear anything from the Beach Boys.) There is still an issue with noise, however, as there are too many street performers and street musicians using microphones and loud amps during the Sunsets at Pier 60 event. They should all be forced to perform/play/sing "unplugged". read more

Been here a gazillion times, and it doesn't get old for me. There's so much to do here including waterslides, a playground for the kids, movies in the park, street performers, and craft vendors. There's also a place to get burgers, and ice cream, as well as shop for beach stuff, and go to the bathroom. It's here for the tourists, the beach lovers, and the locals, & it's a blast everytime. Everything about Clearwater is amazing from the food, local brews, the friendly people and that sunset. This is my second vacation to Clearwater. The white powder sand and crystal clear water is awesome. Actually going to Pier 60 is a must. There is a sunset festival every day all year long. The locals come up set up booths and show off their talents. You can purchase some pretty cool stuff and watch someone eat fire. I recommend walking the pier at sunset. It's a $1.00 to walk the second half of the pier but totally worth it. There are some benches to sit and a covered area so you can take in the view. Another beautiful vacation added to the books. Watching the sunset was so peaceful tonight! We came around 6:30pm and it wasn't too crowded on the beach, but parking was still limited. The water was the perfect temperature and I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The birds do come after your food so watch out for that, other than that it's a good time in the evening. We stayed until around 8:30 pm when the sun was set. :) There's a nightly celebration every night daily. They have artists, crafters and some entertainment. I also saw a playground for the kids. We were here for the Saturday night pier events, which is 2 hours before and after sunset. If you are already on Clearwater beach, fine, but not worth a drive to come. There's supposed to be entertainment, but all I saw were 2 buskers a distance away, and music from a speaker at the entrance to the pier. There were vendors on the pier with a varied assortment of wares, and it was a beautiful view of the beach at night. A big plus was, there was no charge to go on the pier, as many do charge. There were a handful of vendors on the pier, I didn't buy anything but I did stop in the store on the pier on my way out and bought myself a hat and t-shirt, as the souvenirs there were very reasonable in price! A few people saw dolphins from the pier, I didn't happen to see any :( There is also fishing that can be done from the pier as well. A bit of advice...park north of the pier, as parking is cheaper... its just a few block walk, nothing crazy, it will save you a few bucks. What made me giggle to myself were the people contemplating spending $1 to go to the end of the pier... lots of them! Geez people, it's a buck compared to the amount you're spending on all kinds of other things in the area!!! read more

We decided to visit Pier 60 (and all of Clearwater Beach) on Saturday of Mother's Day weekend. While I suggested other less crowded parks/beaches, I was met with protests from a quite stubborn family member. It took 25 years to find parking. OK, it took like 45 minutes, but it felt like 25 years. 25 long, long years of going around the roundabout 250 times, being cut off by several drivers, thinking I found a parking spot when it reality it has a 30-minute limit or is only for certain customers. I was frustrated! After I finally found a spot, I had to take 10 minutes to just chill out because I couldn't imagine dealing with a crowd of people - and that's what you'll find at Pier 60. We didn't come to go swimming or to sunbathe but just to walk around. They have a nice playground nearby that was crowded but not too crowded (?). They also had an event going on, but we didn't dare to go near it with the amount of people inundating the space. We walked along the Pier and admired the view... of people swimming and sunbathing. It was nice, but it wasn't breathtaking. The Pier itself wasn't too crowded. It was very easy to walk around and there was space to breathe and take pictures without having some random guy photobomb your picture. They have a shop that has restrooms as well. While we didn't buy anything, we did make a quick visit to the bathroom. Despite the constant foot traffic, it was pretty clean and the line went by surprisingly quick. It was a nice visit. Do I regret it? No. Will I visit again? Maybe. Was the parking a *****? HELL YES. Be prepared. read more

This is what made this beach so much fun. The vendors are always in different places because it's first come first serve for setting up. I'm not sure if it's different people each night or not but it felt like it was. I was sorely tempted to buy some decorative Goats Milk Soap in fun colors and shapes for Halloween and other things... but then I'd be one of those people with decorative soaps in my bathroom that no one is allowed to use and my stingy self couldn't handle it. But I should've done it! We did end up buying a cute little doodad that spins and lights up. I'm not sure if the street performers only come out at night because we only came at night, but those were fun as well. I'd totally come back here. read more

Not sure why it's listed as Pier 60 Concessions on here, there is no food. It sounds like a concession stand... it's not! Pier 60 is a nightly festival everyday of the year on Clearwater Beach. They have craft vendors set up along the pier selling unique things mostly nautical such as a snow globe shells. They have live bands, street performers aka buskers. They have jugglers, fire jugglers, magicians, and so much more. It's pretty fun. There is no admission, you just pay for parking and tip the performers of course. read more

Every visit to Clearwater my family has to visit Pier 60. In the evenings there is a nightly festival (Sunsets at Pier 60). They have all kinds of entertainment, from jugglers to musicians playing Paul Simon's greatest hits. (Just be sure to bring a few bucks to donate to your favorite performers.) There is also an assortment of vendors so you can get some pretty interesting souvenirs. During the day the pier is a nice place to walk. You can go out about 2/3 of the way until you reach a store. At that point you have to pay admission to go any further (prices vary depending on if you are fishing or just looking). This park also has a fantastic playground. My kids loved playing here. There are two separate areas for older and younger kids. There are always events at the pier so I would suggest checking their website to see what is going on before your visit. read more

I bought 2 purses for for daughter, a seashell cross, 2 plaques with Florida and Clearwater Beach stamped on it, and a couple of jewelry pieces - all handmade. We parked at the Marina and walked across the street to the pier. Many parking spaces there than parking at the pier lot. They also had street performers and a movie playing at the park. It looks really nice in night light and in morning light when you are staying at a nearby hotel facing the pier. In fact any time of the day! During evening and nighttime it is full of handicrafts stands and street artists. But most of all full of people. It is like any market, carnival, festival with "nittygritty things to buy"-stands Honestly it isn't all that. As someone else wrote, don't plan to spend an entire evening here. And when you finally make it to the end - you have to pay to get to the outer point. Not a lot though. And for those who wonders about 4th July - no the fire works are NOT on the pier they are on opposite side of the bay from Clearwater marina on the other side of the street. It's also a great place to watch the sunset because its so far out in the water. They have a store at the end and front part of the pier where you can purchase drinks and food and other items and restrooms at the front part of the pier. They have blow up slides for kids, trampolines, face paintings, and even a playground. There are many restaurants around and the bay is right across the street. This pier is very well maintained and seems new with Trex railings. We came here several nights and it was very fun! read more

Huge disappointment. Came out twice. Once on weekday and once on weekend. Both times had only 10-20 vendors of low end "art" knickknacks, face drawing, hair braiding, spray paint art, ballon making. More of a carnival atmosphere. Had same street performer who did breakdancing and jumping through hoops. Felt uncomfortable and a lil unsafe with type of people there. Mostly teens and young adults dressed very provocatively. Party crowd type. Some indigents and others doing drugs and alcohol openly in public. Not a place for families or conservative types. We loved exploring all of the different vendors at Pier 60, it was beautiful with all of the rainbow colored umbrellas fluttering in the breeze. You can find all kinds of wares, jewelry, and gifts. Pier 60 is a beach with a pier and lots of shopping around. Beware of this police gets very crowded. You can spend up to 20 minutes looking for a spot. Then you get on the beach and there's people everywhere. Now thou it is crowded they have a really good beach. And the pier is nice but you have to pay a dollar. I whould recnoung going in the morning when it is less crowded but the pier is only open from 2 hours before and hours after sunset. read more

A really cool way to see the sunset. Before you get to the pier there are three or four really good street performers. They work together so each one takes turns so you can see all 4. They performer both before and after sunset. We walked out to the pier and there are local vendors selling souvenirs ranging from a few bucks to expensive. At the end of the pier it opens up so everyone can get a good view. The pier also rents fishing equipment and you don't need a license. Pier 60 Marina Hotel Clearwater Florida hotel is the only business that I was in that didn't have any COVID 19 guidelines or restrictions for the coronavirus. There are no markings for 6ft reminders NO EMPLOYEES wear a mask or sanitized anything while I was present. They let as many ppl squeeze in the elevator as possible. I only gave a 1 because I had too Jimmy's Crows Nest was disappointing. I expected it to have a fun atmosphere and friendly employees. The staff was rude looked like they didn't want to be there. Placed our food on the table and walked away. Never asking if we needed anything else. All of the employees looked unhappy. $20 a day to park. I could have stayed at the Hyatt with all of the hidden charges. read more

Yes, I know...Pier 60 IS in the heart of all the touristy madness. However, "Sunsets at Pier 60", held every night, makes the trip into tourist hell well worth it. "Sunsets" gives local artisans a chance to sell their goods - everything from jewelry to engraved shells, personalized wood wall plaques cut in various shapes to wind chimes made from recycled material. Every trip will guarantee a new or different artisan since a lot of these folk have other jobs, and don't make it out to this mini festival every night. Two of my favorite purchases throughout the years... A palm frawn cut to resemble a mask, then hand-painted in various colors. A recycled liquor bottle with white lights stuffed inside, then (again) hand-painted with an underwater scene in bright colors. (It is SO pretty, especially when lit.) I was ready to purchase more items from both of these artists this trip. Unfortunately, neither of them were there. However, I did acquire some hand-painted starfish for only 50 cents each! What a bargain! I've often also seen breakdancers, musicians, impersonators, escape artists, face painting and henna tattoo artists in attendance. On the weekends, the Pier 60 team sets up an inflatable screen to show a movie. Bring your chairs and enjoy the show for free - right on the lawn next to the beach. Of course, part of the draw to this nightly event is seeing the sunset from the end of the pier. After passing all the artisan tables, pay 50 cents per person to watch the sunset on the Gulf. Get there a little early though; it certainly draws a crowd. (Of course, if you walk down to the water's edge, you can see the sunset for free!) Throughout the day and the evening, the pier does have concessions in two areas. Both house a beach shop and restrooms. Weave yourself through the crowds, and don't forget your cash! Spring break vacation on the beach with crowds of high schoolers or college kids (I can't tell the difference) shouting and tossing sand around while throwing (and missing it most of the time) footballs back and forth. Bikini clad babes and guys in board shorts tip toeing into the cooler than comfortable ocean. Watching my great niece playing in the sand at the waters edge while I lay on a towel soaking up much needed rays. Soft sand under my feet and toes. Chatting it up with my sister. Pier 60 was great just for the fact that it cost me a mere $.50 to get some amazing photos of pelicans and other random flying creatures. Free would have been better, but hey. There is a festival at pier 60 every night and it was definitely the best part of our vacation. The festival runs 2 hours before sunset to 2 hours after on the beach. The beach is beautiful white sand with volleyball nets and clear water that is still warm around sunset time. The sunset from the beach or pier is beautiful. Along the pier their are vendors selling jewelry and other things. There are great street performers that keep the energy going all night. If you're in clearwater this is something that you have to do at night! There are also some big blow up slides and trampoline jumps for kids, kind of like a mini amusement park on the beach read more
