When I asked why she said "In case you need something we can see if your insurance covers it". I declined. The test itself was comprehensive and covered both sounds and human speech.. The hearing technologist was competent and pleasant. I took home some informative materials as well and my results were clearly explained. I will probably be back here for a yearly test as I did have minimal loss on high frequencies which did NOT need to be corrected. I would say all in all it was a pleasant experience.

I got my first pair 4 years ago from hearing life and the service has been wonderful. Camden is outstanding and answers every technical question I had which were many. I had traveled to New London for a long weekend to attend a friend's memorial service and after my arrival on Thursday I realized I had forgotten the charger for my Phonak hearing aids. It was going to be a tough weekend. I decided to make some calls and see if I could find help and to make a long story short, I was lucky enough to call Thames and speak to Krista. After checking with audiologist Jean P. Tuneski, she told me they would loan me a charger. They never mentioned a fee or security deposit, just offered to loan me the charger. LaPorta office is decent, a lot of aggravation with scripts being sent wrong or not at all, but at least she's there for me; it's tough to get appointments at times and I just have to call a few too many times for my liking, but maybe she's just that popular
