I did not want to admit that I needed aid in hearing. Jennifer made me feel at ease and was very patient with me in selecting my hearing aides and adjusting them to me. I wear them all the time and love them. No one can tell I am wearing them. Thank you! read more

For an industry that does not think fixing a hearing aid is essential. Long island Hearing understands that people need their hearing aids everyday and not wait 2 weeks to get them fixed. I brought a non working hearing aid in and within 10 minutes I walked out with it fixed. Try that at any other audiologist. People were extremely friendly and helpful. I would give them a 6 if I could. read more

From my phone call speaking to Jessica about my mothers hearing aids to the actual visit, was amazing... Jessica and her brother are two of the most compassionate people that really care about elderly people with hearing loss during quarantine ... I pulled up to their back door, Jessica came our introduced herself and started the procedure. Within a short time, she was back at my car window returning my moms devices cleaned and serviced. Let me add, they had patients in their office but took the time to accommodate me.. When I returned the hearing aids to my mother and she put them on she hasn't been this happy in months... I will never be going back to hearing life associates now Hearing Life.. They are still closed and lied to me for months why... Thank you Jessica . I have been going to Christine for almost 5 years now. Christine and the entire staff at both locations are extremely professional, helpful and accommodating. For starters, when I first went there I wasn't sure what I was going to do. This was a sensitive issue. Christine dealt with me understanding this was a sensitive issue for me. She was patient and didn't look to push me into something. She allowed me to make the decision of wanting to get the hearing aids. Great decision by the way! Christine and the staff are great with updates and are always helpful when minor adjustments become necessary or questions come up. Theirs is a family business and you can tell. They make you feel like you're part of the group and that you're important to them. And don't forget your "peppermint patty" after each appointment! Thanks again to Christine, her family and staff. I'm not one that normally likes to go to the doctor, but I have to say that I actually look forward to visiting Long Island Hearing in Nesconset, NY. Jennifer, the Hearing Instrument Specialist and her family owned operation are the most caring, concerned, and professional group of hearing aid professionals I have ever met. From the beginning that I actually learned that I needed hearing aids, most probably due to exposure to loud music as a musician, and the constant noise environment working as an IT Technology Manager for SUNY, Long Island hearing patiently performed all the required tests, and provided honest and solid advice to bring my hearing back to a normal level of enjoyment. What a difference to my lifestyle thanks to Jennifer B., and Christine C., and her family of professionals. They are easy to work with, from arranging an initial consultation, correctly providing, adjusting, and fitting state-of-the-art hearing appliances to fit most any budget plus accepted my insurance coverage. I have been looking for hearing professionals for a while now to fix my back up hearing aids. I was told they could not be fixed,they were too old. I came across an Ad,Hearing Aid Repairs. I was expecting the same answer everybody else gave me,can't fix them and want to sell me a new pair 5to 7 thousand dollars!! It turned out to be terrific from the phone call to the office visit .They told me to come in they were sure they can help me.Bill took care of me and my hearing aids were fixed in 15 minutes work great couldn't be more happy with everyone there. I have never met Dr. H, but I use the SleepMD device that he invented. This review is targeted for…read morethat device. When it comes to anti-snoring devices, there are really only two categories. Those that work and those that don't. The VAST majority of these devices falls in the latter category. However, the SleepMD is one of those few gems that actually works. I have been through a bunch of mouthpieces, nose strips, chin straps, tongue suspension devices, you name it, none of them worked. Previously, the closest thing I had to the SleepMD was a prescription device which was expensive, a pain to get, and started to peel and cut up my gums after just a few months. With the SleepMD I am able to sleep soundly the entire night and wake up feeling...well, like I actually slept. I am a mouth breather for the most part. I attribute the reason this device works for me is because it allows me the freedom of movement that all those other devices lack. Also the fact that the mouth piece firmly holds to my teeth. I don't have to worry about it falling out of my mouth at night. I also like how I can remold it and cut down some of extra mold so It just holds to my teeth and won't hurt my gums. That really helps to make the sleep MD last longer for me and more comfortable to use than many of those other devices. Even those new devices you mold at home and mail back to get them to create the mouthpiece for you based on your mold. They do not hold a candle to the SleepMD in my book. Those do not allow you to adjust the piece after the mold is done. You are basically stuck with what you get, and after 2 months when it no longer holds to your teeth, or your jaw relaxes and and the position is no longer effective, you are just plain out of the luck. Not with the SleepMD. With the SleepMD you always have the ability to adjust the position of the mouthpiece, so you can move it forward or backward as necessary to give you the best nights sleep. And, if it ever does get too loose, you can always remold it. I can't recommend this device enough. It saved my life, and my marriage!

Note that it may take a bit of patience and attention to get it set up but it's well worth it (carefully watch the video). If you're new to an oral device to reduce snoring, it may take you a few days to get used to it. I've been using Dr. Hamburg's oral appliances for years and they really made a difference for me (previously I used the ones made in a lab, the retail version from the website is every bit as good but at a fraction of the price).

I had a hearing test at L.I. Hearing and was told I could use a hearing aid on my right ear. I knew I had nerve damage on my right side from tests from a doctor I had seen years ago who said a hearing aid might not help. Bill Kent, owner of L.I. Hearing, called me at home when I was undecided on whether to purchase one hearing aid because of the price. Bill Kent told me that he could get me one refurbished hearing aid at the cost of $1200. He assured me that it was a solid investment and would always hold it's monetary value and when the time came when I wanted to upgrade the hearing aid I could apply the value to a new hearing aid. On May 11, 2020 I took the hearing aid for service and found out that a circuit went bad and my warranty had expired in March. I am a first responder (volunteer firefighter) and we are in a pandemic. New York State closed in March. Bill Kent told me my hearing aid had no value since a circuit went bad and that he could sell me a new hearing aid for $2500. He refused to give me any exception on the warranty during this medical crisis we are experiencing. I will never go back due to his lack of compassion and just simple lack of customer service during this pandemic. I will say that his daughters are a pleasure to work with. It's just too bad their dad doesn't possess the qualities of his daughters. read more

While visiting Long Island we discovered we did not have the charger for my wife's hearing aids. I called Long Island Hearing and was told I could go to the nearest office, which was in Nesconsett. Audiologist Jennifer was ready to leave for the Fourth of July holiday but took time to call the manufacturer for a replacement to be mailed overnight, time to give instruction on how to make the charge last longer while waiting for the replacement charger, and would take no compensation for her time and efforts. Since I wasn't a patient she did not even have to see me, but I surely would take our business there if we still lived anywhere near that office. Jennifer's friendly, patient and helpful attitude is outstanding, and the epitome of excellent customer service. Especially for someone like me who was not even a customer! read more

I highly recommend Long Island Hearing to my family and friends. Dr. Christine is exceptional. I recently started wearing hearing aids and she was great, all my questions and concerns were addressed promptly and professionally. The director Dr. William Kent is a true gentleman to deal with. Since my hearing loss was from a job injury he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with NYS workers compensation. He made sure I received the best care and helped me with my case without any issues. The office staff is always friendly and personable. DR Christine Kent-Coglietta was instrumental is the diagnosis of a serious medical condition that damaged my hearing and led me in the direction of healing . Upon hearing being damaged the entire staff has been so helpful in fitting my hearing aides, the programming and the service of them . I'm so grateful for the patience of Bob Bellia in fine tuning my hearing aides and his decades of experience shows in his work and his kindness is unmatched . I've had hearing aids in both ears for 20+ yrs. Recently, my hearing has been just awful, and I was discouraged. I went to LI Hearing for help with my Starkey Halos. Dr. Christine Kent asked lots of questions, tested my hearing, studied my history and test results and reprogrammed my hearing aids. I walked out of there feeling great! No one knows me here on LI I moved to Levittown a month ago and I'm just getting around to find Doctors and pharmacy and such. So I read an ad about hearing. Let me tell you this place is awesome! I had a great experience getting my hearing checked by Jennifer from Long Island Hearing. I hadn't had a hearing test since elementary school (a long time ago) so I wasn't sure what to expect. Jennifer made me feel very comfortable and was a pleasure to talk to. The test was very straightforward and non-invasive so there is nothing that should stop anyone from getting themselves checked. I have a significant hearing loss and have been wearing hearing aids for the past 10 years. Due to a change in insurance coverage, I had to switch audiological providers. I am fortunate to have met Bill Kent, Jr., of Long Island Audiology. I received a pair of hearing aids from the VA, but I had to go to an outside source to get them programmed and adopted to my blue tooth phone. Bill was able to do this for me. He was very professional and patient in explaining how to use the device. He is very caring. He listened to my questions and took the necessary time to answer all my questions.
