When it turned out that we had some rotten fascia and a flat roof that would need replacement, the team was diligent in sharing very clear photographs of the damage, as well as transparent that the flat roof repair we needed was not in their wheelhouse. They paused the work so that we could get the flat roof repaired and then resumed installation as soon as the other contractor had finished the work. I can't imagine a better experience.

Project included electrical and drywall work but no structural changes. Mold removal wasn't originally part of the project, but, when a problem was discovered, it was handled thoroughly and expeditiously. The good: Overall, the finished project looks great and all the changes we made to our kitchen/main floor work well. Coordination between the design and the construction teams was good and we ended up working with great people on each side. Colleen, who helped us with kitchen design, was very good at laying out/generating alternatives and flagging pros and cons. She was focussed on our objectives and kept working until they were met. Fabricio held down the fort on the construction side. In addition to being a skilled craftsman with high standards, he is someone who is always looking for ways to make things better. He thinks ahead and has a problem-solving mindset. We always felt that he was treating our home the way he would his own. What fell short of perfection: probably worth bearing in mind that this was our first renovation project so it's not a comparative assessment. We've heard other peoples' horror stories and our issues were minor/mostly resolved in real time. That said, two pieces of advice: (1) Make sure the designer you are working with is a good match. If not, ask for someone else. Landis has multiple designers on staff. (2) If you are moving out for renovations, give yourself a cushion (more than a month on each end) wrt alternative arrangements for housing.

John picked up immediately and I told him the scene that was slowly unfolding in our house, and without hesitation, he said, "I can be there today, is that OK?" To say the least, I was floored. I am used to companies giving me a timeline of up to a week to stop by, and here was John saying he'd be here by the time we were on the afternoon news. He came by solo, climbed up the roof, took pictures, and came down and calmly explained to us what we kind of already knew. That our chimney was in BADDDDDDDDD SHAPE. I was told that they were going to clean the fireplace too and left it with cobwebs and the fireplace actually didn't even work. I had to call another company to get it fixed. Just be aware, make sure you pay attention to detail if you do hire these guys, and stay on top of them to complete the job appropriately.

Bob Chase came to my house multiple times to discuss, design, and finalize the plans for both projects. He was very kind and patient with me. The master bath was basically gutted (we removed a large jacuzzi tub and a small shower) and replaced the flooring, the cabinets, mirrors, toilet, and lighting, and designed a large, doorless, walk-in shower. This project took approximately 2 weeks for them to complete once the work was started. The kitchen was completely gutted. We changed all the flooring throughout our entire main level, updated the staircase, removed the wall between our old kitchen and formal dining room, and completely redesigned the flow of the kitchen/dining area. Installed all new cabinets and countertops, lighting, etc. We ordered all high end, custom cabinets, so it did take about 7 months between signing the contracts to the work beginning. Once the work started on the kitchen, flooring, stairs, etc. it took around 3 1/2 months and they worked nearly every day. The prices we agreed upon for both projects never changed. He never asked me for additional money for anything, which is something I was worried about having heard friends complain about that when they completed home projects. The only additional expense we had was because we decided while we had them there to go ahead and paint all the walls throughout the main level and the upstairs foyer (since the kitchen was so nice and new!) the same color we'd selected for the kitchen. Bob and Derek were both awesome to work with. Always polite, always helpful, had great ideas, and were communicative. That's another complaint I hear from friends is that their contractor would come one day and work and then they wouldn't see them for two weeks with no word about what was going on. We knew throughout both projects exactly what was going on and when. Additionally, all of the workers were very nice, super respectful of our home, and the work was impeccable. Very high quality and excellent attention to detail. I'm happy to speak with anyone who has questions about Chase Remodeling and the experience we had with them. We couldn't be happier and would highly recommend them for any home improvement projects you may be considering.

I contracted with Chase Remodeling on 3/20/2024 to tile a bathroom floor and shower. I paid a…read more$3,214 deposit and work was to be started in approximately 3-5 weeks and completed in approximately 4-7 days. After attempting several times in April to get someone to contact me about when work could start, six weeks lapsed with week seven commencing on Monday 4/29/2024 and no call or written communication to plan/schedule the tile work. I had to go to Chases place of business and spoke to the owner on Friday morning 4/26/2024 to request the contract to be terminated and have a refund provided. I was told 3 businesses days or less would be needed to make a decision. I received an email on the morning of 4/30/2024 with a picture of a letter and refund check to inform me that the refund was being mailed that day. The letter stated: "We are sorry that Chase Remodeling could not be of service to you and *your family. We have cancelled your contract and returned your deposit. If you should need our services in the future, please do not hesitate to call our offices." I am disappointed in the apathetic response and received no genuine apology or consideration for not meeting the period of performance within a reasonable period of time. Absolutely a frustrating experience.
