The worst. Cold food. Every. Single. Time. Not friendly, no salt on fries most of the time. Ugh.

The employees here are unprofessional and lack attention to detail. Just today I went there for lunch and said hello and thank you and the employee with green hair said nothing in return. Once I ordered a double qpc and got two bottom buns and it was cold. Half the time it's hard to tell if they are opened at night because all the lights are off. read more

This has to be the absolute worst McDonalds in the country. They have gotten every order wrong 100% of the time that's if I can even place an order. I have been a couple times at breakfast for a McMuffin and been told "we ain't got no round egg". If you do manage to get what you ordered it will certainly be cold. Got here at 0603a currently been waiting 5 mins, person come on the intercom and ask me to give her an additional 5 more minutes they've been open for breakfast since 0500a. People are headed to work this is not the definition of fast service and now I see why the rating here is so low but was trying to give the benefit of the doubt. Correction this one doesn't open until 0600 but guess what it's 0610 so again 10 mins into service time and she's asking for an additional 5mins. Yeah made a mistake coming to this location it will be a last. Individual was also very argumentative and I made sure to let them know the lack of service will definitely be notated. Hard to have support for corporations when they employ below par customer service by the lack of ethical individuals they employ. read more

I ordered curbside pickup, and when I noticed there were 4 other cars that had come and gone after me, I got kinda heated. I told the young lady that I had waited for 20 min and still had no food- she ran inside and immediately came back out with my food. I was still annoyed, and I said "I don't know why it took that long for a ten piece and coke." I looked in my bag and she had given me a 16 piece and a larger coke for the wait. I know that doesn't make up for it, but I appreciated that small kindness from this McDonald's. I've always had pleasant experiences here, and I love doing curbside pickup from them. read more

If I could give a zero I would. The staff there are ghetto as heck. I asked a question about my drink and got a whole attitude with they eye roll and neck jerk. I asked why the my drink was not filled to the top like normal and she says that's what our drink machine does and closed the window in my face. Really McDonalds! Please do better. McDonald's - Timeframe of my drive thru order - Burgers Near Me - Suffolk, Virginia

Used the mobile app to order a meal from this location. Checked in upon arrival, and then proceeded to wait 30 minutes for my meal to be brought out to my parking spot. While waiting, I watched THREE male employees give one female customer in the drive-thru line ALL of their attention while the rest of the drive-thru line sat, honking and giving the "what is going on" motion with their arms as the line did not move until the female eventually drove away. Conveniently, as soon as she left, my meal was brought out to me, and it was cold. Not sure where the management or supervisor on shift was, but it was highly annoying and unprofessional. Every once in a while I give them a another chance. I keep hoping they will hire new or better train their employees. They either forget half my order, or don't make anything correctly. Todays order, stale dry chicken nuggets for my daughter, double cheese burgers with the ketchup on top of the bun instead of I side it for my son, cold fries, 3/4 filled drink, and a McChicken with the mayo also on the outside. Employees act like they're doing you a favor, unprofessional, with bad attitudes and always chillin and joking like they're hanging out instead of working. Laughing on the drive through microphone to the point the can't hear you, not alternating the drive through lines, no thank you, zero word exchange and let alone a friendly face! A decent restaurant here. Nothing stands out, but it's like the only one in this area now. There used to be a McDonald's located inside of Walmart (that's about 2 minutes away) but it's been about a month now and it disappeared. Like literally here one day and stripped to pieces the next. The night I visited here, I placed my daughter's order through the drive thru. The wait time was longer than usual. Not sure why, there were only two cars other than mine in line. Hmmmm This location has a two window process. The cashier was friendly. She sparked a conversation about my nails. Awwwwe Proceeded to the next window to pick up my baby's food... Order was correct, but no sauce or napkins were in the bag. Ooooook Yeah...like I mentioned it's just ok here. It's not well lit here and that's alarming. got to be the absolute worst Micky D's ever. Orders are slow to be taken, then takes forever to get it, then when you get it, it's either cold or totally wrong. When you take your complaint to the staff they act like they couldn't care less. I only ever visit the College drive Micky D's only when I don't have the time to go into to Churchland at the much better operated restaurant there where service and convenience still actually mean something. My Recommendation is avoid the college drive franchise at all costs. You'll be stuck in long lines getting ignored or being disrespected, getting piss poor service from children that absolutely don't give AF. Ever since this restaurant changed it has been nothing but BS. Nobody to take orders, nobody filling orders and the manager not managing. Beware any mobile ordering with this restaurant. Twice I've been to this McDonald's and twice the staff have had an uninterested and dismissive attitude to me as a customer. This last time I had a mobile order and they didn't have the full order because their McFlurry machine was down. They refused to give a refund and said it had to be done through the phone app. They seemed unfamiliar with the app and how to do any process relating to it and was encouraging me to respond to the computer generated email to get my refund for the missing item. So instead I was offered a $2 medium fry as compensation for a $3 McFlurry. Also- our McMuffins were made with the subpar frozen scrambled egg patties instead of the real egg it should come with. read more

Seriously what is wrong with this place. It's fast food not rocket science ‍ I am waiting for over 10 minutes and I only ordered 4 burgers and a large frie! I'm seriously so confused on what takes so long. Plus the fact that the drive through line is moving at a snails pace. You would think it would be waiting at the window when I pull up but no. I'm now sitting in #2. I wish I could say this is an unusual event but the few times I have come through this location has always been a problem. Once they had no French fries and no drinking straws. Giving 3 stars to be kind. Ordered food at 10:10 and received food at 10:23. Facility is clean and new so looks are deceiving. Employees are disorganized at best. The worst customer service I've ever had, and I don't expect much from McDonald's. Didn't even get to eat anything because the man taking the order greeted us with a "McDonald's, order". We ordered a spicy bbq chicken sandwich and before we could say meal, he cut us off and said "meal or sandwich"? These employees need to be put in a retirement home due to their mental capacity. I went there at 10 AM during breakfast time. Ordered #4 and received a receipt for another order. Asked for my order and received the wrong change. When I get to the food window I recieve the wrong breakfast sandwich. Then I hand it back and wait 20-30 min to hear they no longer sell breakfast after I already paid for it. I then wait 20 more minutes for lunch that I never ordered. I don't know how this place managed to mess up so many things. We went through the drive thru on 11/1/19. We had a $1 off large fries coupon from the McDonald's app and we told the person who took our order that we wanted to use it and ordered a large fries and a meal and some McNuggets with BBQ sauce. As we approach the window to pay, my husband has out both our credit card and the phone to let her scan the app. But she's in auto pilot and grabs only the card and completely ignores the phone and the window shuts. Once that window is shut, she can't hear us call for her. When she gives the card back, my husband tells her he was trying to get her attention about the app. She does acknowledge "you did say that when you ordered." Then she tells us to go inside the restaurant to get this handled because it'll take a manager too long to help us at the window she's at. She said he can go straight to the front. My husband then parks our car and goes in. When he went in, no one acknowledged him or helped him for a long time even though there were employees present who weren't doing anything. Finally a manager saw that he needed assistance and came up to him. He explained what happened at the drive thru and the manager tried to refund the $1, but couldn't get it to work. The manager then comps us an apple pie. When we went home, there we discovered there were no large fries in our bag. It was a medium fries. There was also no BBQ sauce for the McNuggets. I just left the drive through. I tried to order the McGriddle like I normally do and the dude taking my order was very rude. Saying "we stopped selling that, it's not breakfast. Breakfast ends at 10" It was an all day item for the past few years. Then proceed to cut me off after I said well then can I get a 6 piece nugget. I couldn't even say the sauce I wanted. Then after I told him the sauce he said is that all? Like damn stop tryna rush me. When I got my food my small coke is in a shake cup which is a different size than regular cups and my fries are hard/ stale/not even warm. Also I got the wrong sauce even tho he repeated it.Wtf. Terrible drive-thru service on weekends lately. I do not know who the manager is now, but this location has really come down on the service. I went through the drive thru recently. Young lady charged me for a bottled water when I clearly asked for a LARGE CUP of water with ice. Also, when I got my fish sandwich, it was slopped onto the bun sideways and crushed on one side. I ended up giving ALL my food back and getting a refund. I was not offered anything for the horrible service-- per good customer service of other local McDonalds: One gave me a free coffee one morning due to the backup in orders and slow service. I appreciated them trying to keep a customer and rectify the situation. I could be starving and NEVER stop here again. I like supporting local franchises but I will spend the extra gas and go to the other McDonalds closer to Western Branch. read more

I went last night for the awesome free brownie & caramel flurry deal. The line was long around the time i went which was 9:30pm but was expected since I'm thinking a lot of people are getting the deal. Upon paying the young lady was pleasant asked for my code and gave me a receipt. The disturbing experience was next. When I got to the pick up window the Caucasian young man with glasses asked if I ordered the brownie caramel McFlurry ,I said yes. He looked very annoyed and went to the back I'm assuming to get the McFlurry. After about 5 minutes he returned with a McFlurry. I was hesitant on accepting it because he looked so upset when handing it to me. I knew the line was long so I hurried out of the line. What I saw next scared me. It was a McFlurry that looked like it was eaten out of. I have NEVER received a McFlurry in that state. Caramel was covered with the spoon looking like it was caked up there for quite some time. The McFlurry wasn't even full it was half empty. Brownie pieces picked over and it wasn't even cold. I was so upset I didn't even want to wait in the long line again to talk to the manager. I had a feeling the gentlemen did something to that dessert. I then proceeded to the Portsmouth Blvd McDonald's beside the 7-Eleven. They weren't able to give me the brownie caramel McFlurry but they gave me an Oreo one instead. This McFlurry was so perfect it did not have mess around the spoon or sloppy ! This location deserves a negative 4 star as well as the rest of the McDonald's in the Portsmouth area every single god damn time I come here the fries are soggy, like wet paper soggy and salty which ruins the entire meal and to top it off they had the nerve to give me a sweet tea with no sugar in it, my sons happy meal was even worse soggy ass fries undercooked ass nuggets. Upon approaching 2nd lane we noticed Poor woman in drive thru closest to the building was completely ignored. Three people before us went and then they took our order after 10 minutes of sitting there and still ignored that poor woman. It in total took 35 minutes to get our order. Woman left upset and i dont blame her. We even made it known during our order that she was being ignored and they just told us to pull up. When we finally got our order, our fries were over salted and not edible at all and parts were still frozen! We also ordered condiments and never got any in our bag and missing a few sandwiches. This is the second time I've experienced poor service at this location... making it my last. If you're hungry go elsewhere because it's not worth the wait. This is not FAST FOOD! My husband and I used the new self-service kiosk when ordering dinner. We paid the $19+ but didn't receive the receipt. My husband checked with the cashier and she said there was no record of our order but when we checked our bank app the charge was already there. The manager was no help, so we left without food, out $19.15 and a promise to never eat there again. If you go, order from a person and not the kiosk. I went here to get the 2 for $3 sausage, egg and muffin and a $1 tea. The server never gave me my cup so I had to ask someone else for it. When I went to go get my tea the server who never gave me my cup put my food on the counter and then someone else took it just like that. She came back and asked if I got it and told her no so then she went on to do something else. I had to ask another server what they were going to do about my order and then she told the original server that she still had to take care of my order! Unbelievably my best experience at a McDonalds! Haven't been in a McDonald's in probably a year, but needless to say the crew member who helped us today should be the poster model for the franchise! Super polite, inviting and attentive are just a few words that come to mind when I think of the gentleman who was at the register. Our food was hot and fresh, the restaurant was clean and well kept. McDonald's also offers a 10% military discount now as well! I'm not saying I'm going to start coming more often but the days that I'm craving a burger I will definitely choose this location over any other in the area!
