Also, their food and drink menu is so diverse. They have a mix of fresh made wraps/breakfast items as well as ready made snacks if you're looking for food, but what makes them great is their coffee. I got a pumpkin puff latte which was soooo delicious. The drink was a perfect balance of pumpkin and marshmallow syrup that felt like fall in a drink. I'd ordered a latte with an extra shot, which admittedly was my mistake, because after only a few sips I started to feel jittery and unwell, so I asked if I could swap it out for a matcha. The barista said this wasn't possible and I had to pay for a second drink if I wanted it, which I did, but I just thought this was a bit different from my experience at other coffee shops where if I'm unable to eat or drink something comfortably, or even if it simply doesn't taste how I thought it might, I've been able to swap it out no questions asked, and certainly not for an additional cost. Although, the part that really threw me off was that as I was sitting and drinking my matcha, I overheard the baristas speaking negatively, and very loudly mind you, about other customers. I could very clearly hear their complaints about one customer in particular who apparently had asked multiple times whether or not they had an option for online ordering (they don't), but the baristas all seemed very openly annoyed by this customer and agreed with one another about it. It was a bit awkward to be sitting and hearing them talk so negatively about a customer, especially knowing that I too have asked them that same question before... I ended up feeling quite uncomfortable knowing that they probably thought me a difficult customer, too, for asking to swap out my drink and left soon after. Probably won't be back for a while, or at least until I can order online and not have to face the baristas again TLDR: Good coffee with cool specialty lattes/flavors, but baristas are a bit rude/unprofessional and openly talk negatively about "annoying" customers

I have found the coffee shop I didn't know I was looking for…read more My wife told me I needed to check out Weird Brothers Coffee because, as she put it, "You're a huge Star Wars nerd. You're going to love this place." She knows me well. Walking into Weird Brothers feels a little like stumbling into the cantina after taking a wrong turn through Mos Eisley. The place is loaded with Star Wars, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and Nightmare Before Christmas memorabilia. As a longtime Star Wars fan and hardcore comic collector, I immediately went into "Okay, let's see what they have" mode. And that's before even getting to the coffee. Weird Brothers roasts their own beans and has a bunch of sci-fi-themed blends. The names alone had me reaching for my wallet. I'm the kind of person who will buy a comic because it says "First Appearance" on the bag, so naturally I'm susceptible to coffee with a geeky name. They even have a special blend for the CrossFit gym next door, which I thought was a pretty cool touch. Nothing says community partnership quite like supplying caffeine to people voluntarily throwing heavy objects around at 6 a.m. Supporting your neighboring businesses? +5 reputation points. Now, about the food... Come here for the coffee. When we visited, they were completely out of the breakfast sandwiches. The remaining options were quiches, so we grabbed the ham & cheese and spinach. Unfortunately, they weren't freshly made and were simply reheated. They were perfectly edible, but definitely more "side quest" than "main storyline." The Americano, however, was good. That's what brought me back to the primary mission: coffee and geeky stuff. I definitely want to return and pick up a few bags of their beans. At this point, I'm basically looking at the coffee menu the same way I look at a wall of long boxes at a comic shop: "I don't need all of these... but I should probably check every single one just in case there's a key." Four stars for the coffee, atmosphere, in-house roasting, and ridiculous amount of geek cred. The food kept this from going to five stars, but I'll absolutely be back. Now excuse me while I go investigate these coffee blends like I'm hunting for a first appearance of Boba Fett in a stack of back issues. May the roast be with you.
