How many people are grabbing their burger and eating and not noticing the fact that McDonalds isn't thoroughly cooking their food. How long has this gone on? Went to this location for a quick meal after my late shift. I tried the drive-thru and waited there for about 5 minutes with an occasional "hello" just to make sure. I checked and made sure it was open 24-hours and then just thought no one was there. I pull through the rest of the way to leave and see a woman at the window. This was confusing, but suddenly another car pulls through and their order is taken immediately. I reckon it was just bad luck so I swing back around to the same treatment. At that point I just left. I was driving south on I95 around 1am and needed a pick me up. I pulled off on an exit near Stafford, VA. It was pouring outside and I drove a few miles to this location, as the one closest to the exit was closed due to Being short staffed. Low and behold this location was also short staffed, but open. I waited about twenty minutes to receive my full order, but i empathized with the staff. My first job in HS was at a location in NYC, so I'm fully aware of the dynamics of a McDonald's franchise. No toilet paper available for my family. My wife waited while the manager was told about the situation. He walked away and gave no instructions. Even his employee thought he was taking care of the situation. After a while, the employee approached the supervisor again and he brushed her off telling her to offer my family napkins. My four year old, wife, and mother used the restroom with napkins, as I waited in the car. I am now learning of the situation as we are back on the road. Poor management!!! I am extremely disappointed in this location. I waited for 30 minutes after I placed my order for my food, but I had to wait for 15 minutes for someone to even take my order INSIDE the store. The employees look miserable and I do not blame them. Several of them had a conversation about working without breaks for multiple days. The service is slow, the employees are overworked and as a result they are lacking in the customer service department. Lots of water and slippery as I try and carry out child!! Not safe, she may have the warning signs out but you cannot mop when it is busy leaving no dry places to walk. This McDonalds is better than many others in Northern Virginia. The interior has more seating than average. The cashier who rung me up was dizzy and messing up order. The manager was right there and made sure to tell her staff member to fix the order. The manager was working hard to get everyone's order right. Update: 03/07/2017 So I actually decided to give this place another try because I got off after a long shift and McDonald's is pretty much the only thing open. I'm told to standby for a minute so I wait patiently. He finally comes back over and takes my order. He doesn't even give me a chance to complete my order before telling me to pull to the 2nd window. I tell him that I'm not done and he tells me that I need to hold and I'm left holding for a long time. Longer than before. I actually see him come out of the side door to smoke a cigarette... all while I'm standing by waiting for him to complete my order. At that point I just give up and drive off! Where is the accountability? Where is management to oversee and make corrective actions for this type of behavior. Incidents like this scare off good customers! How is it possible for the night shift order taker to be this insanely incompetent of performing a simple task such as taking an order??? Every single time he jacks the order up. Hey Virginia McDonaldses, what's up with not being able to make a decent cup of coffee? I'm 0-for-2 on getting a drinkable cup of coffee from the McDonald's drive-thru in VA, most recently at this location in Stafford, by the Best Western. It was 11:30AM on a friggen weekend and the coffee was awful. Seriously, I would gladly pay $1.50 or $2.00 for a big cup of the good McDonald's coffee if you'd promise to throw it out before it tastes like crap. But it is seriously not worth waiting in line for this swill, especially at a slow-as-molasses late-night drive-thru (as I experienced last weekend at a location further south on I-95). I can get a crappy cup of coffee much quicker at the gas station next door. read more
