So I ordered a small shake and was told there was a surcharge for a small. What the McFlurry?

This McDonald's is off of Saint Francis Drive in Santa Fe, NM, on the right if you're headed north. I stopped here only because Dunkin' had a line out the door and their shop didn't look too "family restroom" friendly. So McDonald's also allowed my daughters to get a late night snack. Well, late night for them - it was about 9:30 PM on 10/6/2023. This place was well-lit in the parking lot. There was a nice long drive-thru area, but like I mentioned we needed to use the restroom. We ordered. The guy at the counter was nice, but lacked patience. Then he said he had to "buzz" us into the women's restroom. That kind of place, huh? Nah, I'll pass on this place due to lack of cleanliness and they screwed up our seeminly simple order. So nah. read more

OMG. I love McDonalds... I don't eat it often, but it is my guilty pleasure. I had a long day of work... and a long hike, so thought I would treat myself to a Crispy Chicken sandwich, and some fries on my way home. Got home... my large fries were half full.... and I took one bite into the sandwich.... and it tasty like an ASHTRAY!! Who is working there??? This was at 5:30 PM on September 18, 2021. See the attached photos. They allowed someone to serve a "burnt to the crisp" bun... which tasted like ASH. One bite and the sandwich went straight into the trash. What happened to McDonalds quality control?? I'm also going to post this on Twitter, and hopefully someone at corporate will read it. Just McAWFUL !!!! read more

We make a Bad Decision coming here. They don't give you what you ask for and they don't make the food like they supposed to do it. Don't waste your time coming to this location no one answers the drive thru at night despite an employee being inside. So lazy..

This was my 2nd or 3rd time here. Drive thru. I remember thinking the only thing to eat on my way to my hotel is this McDonald's, maybe the first or second time was just a flop and I'll try to just order a pie. I wait awhile before ordering... maybe there's only a couple people working and need a restroom break. Happens, I ordered my pie, wait to pull up after a SUV and she looks at me like what are you doing here. Another 40 seconds she opens and says what do you want...? Hmmm maybe my order? What you order... a pie, slams window and hands me probably the worst tasting pie from McDonald's ever.,hands down this is the worst McDonald's franchise in America Oh I do remember what I ordered last time, a burger that was so so salty I had 3 bites and had to toss it. read more

If could rate this place a zero, I would. They don't even deserve a 1 star whatsoever. They have the most lazy damn workers, doesn't matter what time or day it is. I order from DoorDash from this specific location and every time something is wrong with each order. Do not waste your time going or online ordering from this location, would 0/10 recommend. I only wrote a five star review because I wanted the owner to take note to my review. Please check up on your night staff. This was the sixth time I have stopped by after work to catch a late dinner and no one would respond on the drive-through and nobody would answer to knocking at the drive up window. I could clearly hear music playing but could not purchase anything. This is on top of multiple times being asked late at night that they would only receive cash for transactions. This is only disturbing because I ordered the same thing every night yet I got a different cash total everytime. Clearly something sketchy is going on with the night staff. read more

This is the worst McDonald's on the planet to order through Uber Eats. They get the order wrong about 8 out of 10 times. They are really bad at executing simple orders off the menu and handing the right food to the Uber delivery person. Today I ordered meals for two adults and got an order for three kids. Yes it is fast food, but one would expect to get what you ordered. You can't even order coffee here without it being screwed up, Once again my order is screwed up and the managers don't care. The staff is poorly trained and I give that responsibility to the managers and the owners (who by the way never return phone calls). They also state they are open 24 hours, but most of the time, the shake machine is being cleaned or they don't have items on the menu and you are given a lame excuse. Thank goodness Starbucks opened up a block away. It's worth the additional 35 cents on coffee to at least get what you ordered when Micky D's cannot even make a mocha correctly. I've given up on this one and the management just tells you to call the corporate number. Head down further on Cerrillos as that Micky D's has competent staff. read more

Ordered through the app for a quick dinner since we would be staying for a few days . Was told to go to the 2nd window only to be asked what I was waiting for by the chick with the long fake caterpillar eyelashes. I told her my order and shes says uhh what order ... first of all if this is how you speak to customers you need some training, second proper English would be nice. I was happily surprised at the great food and service at this location. Usually McDonald's is the last place I'd pick to eat at, but my husband was craving McD cheeseburgers, and it was on our way through town, easy in, easy out. It was about 5:00pm, but not too crowded. I barely waited before ordering, and the food came out fast. Hot and fresh. The dining area was clean. My only complaint was that the bathrooms were locked so I had to ask a worker to unlock it. I've never heard of a McDonald's locking their bathrooms. But overall it was a great visit, and I would eat here again. read more

The kiosk order system is a bad idea, 50 years of doing things the same way and all of a sudden they change it, well played well played

I like this McDonald's and have gone there for years. But since the Covid Virus, I have been there 3 times to the drive-through and all three times the young women serving at the window don't wear masks and don't wear gloves. I carry a box of gloves and offer gloves to them. No takers. This morning the young server with long fingernails beautifully painted, but no mask, no gloves, refused my offer of gloves with "No thanks, we have them here." I replied, "wear gloves." The 2 young men and the one young woman who took my orders and payments on my 3 trips, all three wore masks and gloves and I thanked them. The staff putting our food together ARE NOT. McDonald management, haven't you listened to Gov. Michelle Grissom at all? Mask and glove your employees! Please! read more

When people are ordering, please listen carefully, and if you want to be in the United States, please learn how to talk the language, don't act like we are supposed to translate for you. I gave this place many many many chances. The last straw was when I ordered a value meal. Got home. Got settled. Sat down to eat. Opened my burger container to see someone had taken a bite out of it!!! Couldn't take it back because it had been 15 minutes and they would have totally denied it. While I didn't have high expectations for this McDonald's due to the reviews I knew what to look for. Yes, they messed up the order. The person taking the order put it in the system wrong. However, they fixed it with no problems, didn't cause a scene, gave us a couple apple pies to make up for the problem, and we happily went on our way. Food quality was McDonald's quality. Can't harp on that, we went there knowing that it was McDonalds food. It was fresh and hot breakfast food. I haven't had McDonald's in a long time, but I do remember their coffee being better than it was today. Other than some minor issues, everything was fine. read more

Keep driving! How can you have such a bad experience at a fast food drive through?! This experience should have only lasted 5 minutes but was enough to never go back. We were driving through Santa Fe and needed something quick before we got to our hotel. Three kids requesting McD's, so we ordered 3 mighty kids meals and 1 cheeseburger. As we ordered, we were inhaling smoke from the two sketchy guys sitting behind the restaurant smoking. As I paid at the window, I continued to inhale their smoke. I couldn't believe no one else (the employee at the window) was bribing the cloud of smoke. The young woman that gave us our order at the second window was friendly, so I mentioned the questionable guys behind the building. She said she would tell her manager. We drove away to find that we were missing a cheeseburger. One of the kids ran back into the restaurant to grab the rest of our order. We drove away and the saw we paid for 3 mighty kids meals but received the regular meals. No big deal, right? Not worth fighting traffic for a bigger drink and more fries so we just continued to our hotel. The food was not typical McD's. Cold fries and burgers that seemed like they had been sitting for awhile. Hours later, every single one of us were nauseated and this McDs was the only thing we had in common for the day. One of the kids woke up and puked in the middle of the night after being nauseous for hours. Nothing like traveling and being sick in a hotel because of a bad food choice. I would put 0 stars if i could. I have ordered food from here twice. Both from the online app. The first time they forgot half the stuff and charged me. The second time i placed an order, i had someone from my work pick it up for me. I called to make sure it would be ready, they said they never received my order, even though i got a confirmation, an order number and they charged my account. Been really sick with the stomach bug and the only thing I've been able to keep down is iced tea. I live close to a Sonic but since McDonalds tea is $1, I figured I would drive the extra mile or so. TOTAL MISTAKE! Went through the drive thru and ordered a large, UNSWEETENED tea. I got a sweet tea, so I came back. They didn't even say sorry, but gave me what they said was my correct order. Nope! ANOTHER sweet tea. By this time, I was really annoyed and came back to tell them that. They then told me to pull up to the first window, and took it back. Then waved me to the second window and the man shoved me a cup with the rim completely messed up and said 'this is an unsweet tea lady' and slammed the window. No 'sorry' nothing. Very very rude. The best part was that it was warm, with no ice. I'm not a picky eater, but when something like this happens I get really upset! Totally unprofessional and very rude!
