I called this store that is listed to be open 24/7. Because I didn't want to drive there and find that the posted hours on the internet were not correct... Someone answered, I believe it was a female. I asked if they were open, she responded yes (so I am off to a good start). I then asked if they were still serving dinner. "No". I said bummer... I then asked if they were serving breakfast only.... Her response was again, "No". I asked basically while laughing as I thought she was toying with me...., "so what are you serving?" Can't get waited on must use kiosk. No service. food shoved at table in a bag for dine in service. No cups recieved. Entire crew in corner booth laughing and talking amongst themselves. Came at 1 am. We ordered a Big Mac, 20 nuggs. 2 McChickens and a quarter pounder with bacon and cheese. She took our order then sent us to the second window. Well, well, well... employees who don't care about their job, their product or service! What a concept. I pulled into the drive-through at this Milan Road, Sandusky, Ohio McDonalds last night (at approximately 10:30pm). Noticed a line of several cars (e.g., 4-5) but thought, "how long could this take?" Ha. It took almost 10-minutes to drive away. My order? Simple: 4 basic hamburgers and a medium fry. After I arrived at the last window (the pay window was closed), the employee took my debit card for what seemed like an inordinate amount of time, then she returned with my "food". Pulling forward, I stowed my credit card and opened-up the bag that had been passed to me by the african-american McDonalds employee; I didnt' see her name. To my disappointment, all four (4) hamburgers were OLD (dry) and as cold as a tossed salad. The fries? Warm with no salt. I'm not sure what's going on at this McDonalds, but it seems like the classic case of poor management -- if the rest of these poor evaluations compile to make a summary. Adding insult to injury however, I called management today to test my theory regarding why my McDonald's food was so terrible last night. I was hoping for a manager who cared about their job and, more importantly, understood the big picture of what was going on. No luck. Spoke with a lady who said her name was Reanna (-1sp) and explained the problem. She said, "no problem, next time you're in here, let me know & I'll give you replacement food." Well, first off, YES, it's a problem, Reanna. Food should not be sold to customers that ought to have been thrown away hours before... so YES, it's a problem. Next, do you actually think I would ever visit a restaurant that gave me inedible food, then tell them up-front that "I'd had a problem with the quality of food & service on a previous visit, so how about giving me some free food?" Yeah, Riiiight. Hahahahaha! NO! I will never be back, I want a refund. And I do not trust you or your employees who demonstrated incompetence & gross negligence by serving old & cold food to a paying customer. Save that crap for your dogs-- if they would eat it. I understand and am very compassionate about places being short staffed. During my visit to this establishment, there were more than enough people and even the manager was sitting in a booth doing paperwork. I ordered at the kiosk as instructed and waited at a table. EVERY table and the floors was grossly dirty. Thank god I had my own wipes. After waiting a bit, someone shouted out what I guess I ordered, no number called. I went to the counter and asked if mine, no one knew and I was told to take it. I Asked about my drink and was told, very rudely, to grab one from the stack by the counter. Food looked and trashed like someone sat on it! This is a tourist town, and you are making a horrible impression on anyone visiting your city and adding to YOUR economy. If 0 stars was an option, I would pick that. I ordered on the kiosk, a simple 10 nuggets and fries. My sister got her food before me and I ordered before her... They don't give you your drink cups unless you ask, they don't have any customer service skills or communication and will always ignore you unless you find a nice one which is slim pickings. This has to be the worst McDonald's in Erie County. I have NEVER had decent food from this location. It is always something.... this time it was the fish sandwich which was cold, stale rock hard bun and had clearly been sitting out for hours. Other times the fries are not cooked or cold. Given the wrong sandwich at breakfast. Stale biscuits at breakfast. A burger with so much ketchup and mustard on it that it was inedible. I have been there when it is busy and told to pull ahead for my order, waited for some time and my food was still cold. In any other industry this lack of service would not be acceptable. I'm not expecting a gourmet meal... just fresh, hot, cooked food that I paid for. This restaurant survives based on location and the McDonald's brand. TOURISTS.... I'll try and keep this short and only hit the highlights, err, lowlights. I ordered the Double Meal ($3 which includes a small fry and small drink). I was promptly charged $4.40... as my meal didn't include a drink according to cashier #2. I made my case about the $3 meal and she didn't budge. I was in a time crunch so whatever. Then we were shorted a portion of our order which we noticed in the car. I wet back in and got it (no prob there). However, one item, the apple slices... sigh... if you total the pieces, chops, slivers, you maybe got two whole, meager apple slices. Lastly, I tried to sub a drink for a chocolate milk and I was upcharged $1. In short, I'm NEVER coming back to this McDonalds. I come here regularly bc it's on my way home. Seriously they can't EVER get my order correct! Today I ordered a medium coke. At first they had that I ordered TWO medium cokes. Then they ended up giving me a freaking DIET COKE. The time before that, they did the same thing. - rang me up for 2 drinks and charged me for two - when I only needed one. I ended up taking both but was annoyed. I asked if they had Teen Titans toys bc I specifically wanted one for my toddler son. What did I get? NOT a Teen Titans toy. probably the WORST mcdonald's experience i've ever had. we stopped in on our way home from cedar point. literally just wanting something to fill our stomachs from the draining adventures of the day. we ordered from the screens (which normally isn't a problem), right? wrong. we waited maybe 20 minutes for our food and there was approximately 6 people in the lobby. we got our food and the only thing "decent" thing was the nuggets. not only did the fries have a HAIR in them, they were disgusting. almost like you were chewing through cardboard. we took them up to the front to maybe exchange them for new ones but get this, the new ones (straight from the fryer) tasted exactly the same as the old ones. last but not least, we ordered a frappe & a mcflurry and after we ordered (and paid), they announced that the machine had stopped working. the best part was, when we went up to get the money back, the employee said "sometimes the machine just turns on and off." am i the only one calling bs? long story short, if you were thinking this was a good place to stop after your day at cedar point, skip the hassle. read more

Hello! My family and I were staying in the Quality Inn across the road, FIRST mistake, we decided to walk over to Mcdonald's for our dinner! SECOND mistake! We walked in to a rap performance by a worker guarding the doors. Though we found it very amusing, we head inside to order. We waited at the counter for 5 minutes before we got told to use the tablets. It took us 2 different tries for 3 orders to get our order through, finally! As we waited and went to get our drinks the machine was broken. Finally we got our food! We were so excited! We grabbed our food and headed out. The rapping man has seized into his own world and quickly returned to his self-rap battle as we passed. We finally get home and settled to take a bite into our food after a long hard day. Only to be given rock hard stale cold chicken nuggets. It wasn't even something we would feed to our dog Millie and that's saying something!! Every single nugget in our 3 orders were horrendous. In addition, we were given ONE RANCH SAUCE, and I am more than upset, I am simply disappointed. I just felt the urging need to bring this to attention! As Americans we need to take great pride in the work we do, not just for our customers but for the nation and the pride you feel when you serve. I actually had a wonderful experience! Very busy on a Saturday morning, but the managers stand out for excellence. While in line, one mgr handed us a bag with two empty cones for after our meal to give our kids a free icecream cones. Also, the cashier forgot to give us our cups so, while waiting, a manager immediately corrected her and took my fries and got me fresh ones for waiting. I've got to give it to them.
