Came here with two of my coworkers and the one of my coworkers who ordered first didn't receive her order we all except her received our orders and even a guy who came in ten minutes later to make an order received his before her. She went up and asked the cashier about her order and it not coming and the cashier in the front gave her a look/attitude asking "you didn't receive your order?" Judgmentally like in disbelief, then went to the back and since then she waited 15+ minutes for her order to come out while other people ordered later and received theirs before she did. Been coming here for years but Chula's attitude needs to be friendly. Asked her for sugar and creamer for my coffee. She answers how many and I said a couple..repeated asking me a how many. I said a couple but obviously she doesn't know what a couple meant so I said 2.. But the glare was mean as if I should correct myself and the manners bad. Came here for the sole purpose of trying the McPlant - and of course, a kid's meal for the 3-year-old! We were down the street on an errand and ordered through the app as we were leaving to drive there. which took about 1 minute literally. We parked and went in, and only 3 others were in the dining room, and no one in line. We waited about a minute and then received the goodies. The service was accurate and polite, no issues there. And the young man washing the windows even held the door for us! The interior was clean, and the inside is well lit and open, thanks to the upgraded bay windows put in a long time ago. I remember the previous dining area, and this is a vast improvement. Comfortable seating, lots of open area and as mentioned, lots of natural light. Very nice. The food was hot, both the fries and the chicken nuggets in the kid's meal. There were also apples, and a sauce choice - and of course, a toy! My fries were hot as well, but not as crispy as I remember; or perhaps as I like. But they were good. The McPlant was a bit of a surprise, only because I am quite familiar with the Impossible Whopper of BK fame. So. my expectations are based on that BK baseline. Just saying . . . The McPlant itself is not an Impossible Burger per se, but as the McDonald's site says, it is "a proprietary meat-alternative burger patty that was co-developed with Beyond Meat. The main sources of protein in the McPlant burger patty is pea protein and rice protein." So, similar, but a different product. The size of the sandwich (or burger, if you prefer the common tongue! ) was not as big as I expected. It is about the size of the cheeseburger, with a patty and simple condiments and the usual suspects: cheese, tomato, lettuce, onion, and pickles. The cost is just over $6 ($6.29 in this case), compared to the Impossible Whopper at $7.99. Having addressed the comparative costs, the McPlant I finished quickly, and the Whopper I can cut in half and be filled with one half and some fries, then get back to the other half hours later. So in that sense, the size of the McPlant is too small for me for a "meal" as I don't fill up on fries and shakes and stuff. The flavor WAS good, don't get me twisted on that, but the value and portion are what I am trying to bring out. Just so you know . . . Overall, if I was heading to McDonald's with family or friends, then the McPlant is on my plate. But, if I had a choice, I would see how close the BK is . . . again, just saying! read more

Went there today, drive through girl was super super rude, I was picking up an online order but also ordered something else when I got there. I had asked for some bbq for my fries and she had informed me they charge which wasn't an issue the issue for me was when I handed her my card she called me "big back" due to my order. I also ordered a medium fry you guys gave me a small and the worker who brought my order out to me refused to fix it for me. So never returning here. I should've went and spent the extra few dollars and went to Phyllis burger. I ordered a large quarter pounder with cheese and bacon meal. Went I got to my job, which is a quarter mile away, my food wasn't even luke warm. The only thing crispy in my meal was the onions in my burger. And don't get me started on the fries. It seemed like they were sitting overnight, with no crunch or warmth to it. To top that, I waited in the, what I thought to be a quicker way to get your food, drive thru, for almost 30 mins, from when I pulled into the parking lot to getting my food. I should've just got out and got my food. Look at the cheese, it's not even melted or even look like it started to melt. That's new Another time, I mobile ordered a SUGAR-FREE coffee, but what I got was definitely sweet, I asked nicely for a re-make and showed my mobile order receipt which has sugar free written on it. All I saw was annoyed "are you trying to make trouble" expression. Honestly I never want to utter an extra word to them at the counter if it wasn't for the wrong drink they gave me. Total failure. Ordered the new McPlant and asked for another McPlant made like a Big Mac, guess I wanted to relive my pre-vegetarian childhood. Cashier did not speak much English. No problem. Thought if I explained myself a few times she might get what I was asking for but after doing so 4 times, realized it was not working and asked if someone else can take my order.. She goes away and then comes back telling me she understands and can take my order. I tell her again I do not eat beef and want beyond patties in the Big Mac instead. She says okay so I think we're good. 15 minutes later, she handed me a bag with a McPlant with no patty. I look at her confused and then she shows me plain bread Big Mac buns unassembled without any sauce or any fixings with two McPlant patties in box on the side. Not upset or angry but just realized this was not going anywhere. Asked and received a refund that took an extra 10 minutes. Not upset with the cashier at all but come on McDonald's. Mobile ordered a $2.10 iced coffee. When I got to the restaurant and showed my number, the woman sale she didn't have the order. I showed her my phone and the order detail. Still couldn't find. She told me to buy another one. I told her I'm done and I cancelled the credit card charge. I guess the McD's business model is breaking, you don't pay the person at the front enough to understand customer service (or even operate the register). Good luck 4th street McDonalds. I dunno if I want to admit I go to McDonald's. But I do. And this one is close to my parents house. I come for three things (not all at the same time). I mostly go for a lil egg mcmuffin, they're always so tasty, something I haven't been able to replicate at home... Yet. Their fries are always crispy too and thankfully not over salted. Last but not least and the biggest reason I come, are the smoothies, a banana strawberry smoothie that is. I've never seen what goes into it since my car is tiny I can't watch them, but they're sweet and fruity and a nice change of pace of my green homemade smoothies with no juice. The staff here is always friendly and smile at and never grumpy which makes me come back to this one. read more

Only every once in a while do I have a craving for McDonald's and I was driving through San Rafael after work and decided to stop in to the San Rafael McDonald's on fourth Street thinking that I would have a great experience I ordered a very simple order of a Mc double with no pickles and a four piece nuggets I had the nuggets and they were just fine they were almost a little cold but I was happy enough I got to the McDouble and of course the First thing I noticed is that it was ketchup all on the outside of the bun and it was very sloppy and I took a bite and the first thing I noticed was pickles on my sandwich it seemed like they hadn't even made me a fresh sandwich they're just giving me some old soggy sandwich it's not that hard to make a Mc double sandwich with no pickles... The Kiosk did not give me a receipt or number. When I went to the counter they said there was nothing they could do and refused to give me a refund or my food. I ordered off one of the tablet things and it broke down after i paid and i did not receive a receipt. I told the worker who was up front which apparently who was the manager (surprise she was rude) she kept giving me "it's not my fault" and when asked for a simple refund she kept saying no. So, last Tuesday my friends and my son went out here to get some McDonald. We went to the drive thru and had to wait a good 10 minutes before they took our order with no one there except us. I ordered food and paid for it and it took an hour to leave. I got there by 4:10 and left at 4:40. They missed out on our ketchup and one McChicken when I asked for 4. Meaning I only got 3. I am always learning new things. Like, with all the "good" restaurants nearby, why would I go to a McDonald's? On Wednesdays between 6 pm and 6:30 pm, while I'm waiting for class, I can depend on this crew. They wear headsets like air traffic controllers, but the traffic is pretty light at this hour. The dining area is pretty empty, and there's no line at the drive-up. The crew is polite and fast. Last night I ordered "a hamburger." Did you know they have a hamburger? With all the choices, like the Big Mac and the Quarter Pounder, etc., there is still a "hamburger" on the menu. It's about 2 inches across and 1/4 inch deep. I'm on a diet, so I asked if I could have the hamburger without a bun. "Sure," they replied. Then I asked if I could get anything on the menu without the bun, and again they said, "Sure!" I could have my order customized any way I wanted, except for doneness. So I sat down with a little hamburger, with ketchup, mustard, pickles and onions, looking back at me from its little cardboard box, and a diet Coke, for $2.16. OK, so McDonald's and my diet are cooperating. They have a clean restroom. They have excellent wifi. I was able to login and use the wifi without any problems whatsoever; it was a high-quality signal. read more

Horrible service! Ordered three meals and ALL three drinks were low-filled (about 2 inches short of the cup). It looked like someone had already drank from them. I asked them if they would fill it and I was told "that's how the machine is set up". Even the ice tea that comes out of a dispenser that's controlled by hand!?!? Sure! So I have only come here a few times in order to get myself a McDonald's fix. I understand that fast food joints are there for food, and not the service, but come on! These people are very rude and 3/4 times never got my order right. Yeah, I hated it that much I only went there 4 times. I ordered simple items, like a Filet-O-Fish but the cheese was not even cooked. The fish was dry and cold, as the other reviewer had said before too. I asked for other things too, but I got a rude response, saying "YEAH MANG!" (I am not exaggerating with that at all.) I ordered a large fry, small vanilla shake no whip, and a Mcdouble no cheese. I pulled onto 4th and had to go the opposite way. So I made the dreadful u-turn. Glanced at the milkshake. Saw it was wrong. Received Large vanilla shake with whipped cream and cherry, Mcdouble had cheese, the fries were a small and there wasn't even more than 8 fries in the package. They gave me nuts. This is absolutely the worst McDonalds I have ever been to in my life. The quality of food is horrible. Takes for ever to get your order and the grease is always old. They always get my order wrong because nobody in the grill can speak it read English nor do the wear gloves. I have over heard Spanish speaking employees taking smack about the black employees in Spanish so they can't understand. The ice cream machine is always broken and nobody is capable to fix it. The owners all fire the good employees for some reason. Maybe because they have something to say about the lack of customer service and the way the business in ran without half the stuff they need.
