If you know, you know, as the kids say. And this location knows! The welcoming young lady was amazing (sorry I did not catch her name), and the order was quickly and accurately taken even with a lot of people coming through - precision and control, while being friendly and courteous, in a situation that would have sent me to another job! Well done. The location was also very clean, again considering the large number of patrons. We almost couldn't get a table inside, but we lucked out. And the food was indeed fast, and fresh. We ordered some unique hamburgers to adjust for individual tastes, such as no cheese on this, no onions on that, add a bun-free burger (whatever that means! ), a couple of cheeseburgers animal style, some regular fries and one animal fries, and a couple of double-doubles (if my memory still holds!). Few fast-food chains inspire the devotion that In-N-Out does, so I approached the Double-Double Animal Style with high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience fell well short of the legend. The burger arrived on a noticeably dry bun that lacked the soft, fresh character needed to support the sandwich. While the beef was cooked adequately, it was surprisingly bland, offering little of the savory depth or charred richness that makes a great burger memorable. Even the Animal Style treatment couldn't fully compensate for the lack of flavor at the core of the burger. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Animal Style fries. The combination of melted cheese, caramelized onions, and signature sauce delivered a satisfying indulgence--at least while hot. Once they began to cool, the texture deteriorated rapidly, becoming heavy and far less appealing. In the end, I found myself wondering what all the fuss was about. *This review is strictly for the drive thru experience. The employee took my order from his handheld device. I asked for a cheeseburger with grilled onions. I attempted to order my patty cooked to medium rare but I guess they are no longer able to make that accommodation. At least the employee had a good explanation. I also ordered animal style fries and a root beer float (half root beer and half vanilla milkshake). I was provided my total amount and told to pull forward to the next window. I paid for my order and didn't have to wait very long for my meal to be ready. The burger was prepared as I requested. I usually ask for the grilled onions because the raw ones can have a bite to them. The animal style fries hit the spot. I made sure to mix them so all of the fries had some topping available. The float was just okay. I think I'll stick to either a full milkshake or full fountain soda. I thought the float needed to be thicker so maybe more milkshake than soda ratio?? The food at in n out rarely disappoints. Todays burger with whole raw onion plus pickles really hit the spot. The fries were okay but could have been cooked a little while longer. From ordering to food delivery, it took 13 minutes. Wait times are just "part of it" at in n out. I wish it wasn't... but it is and if you've ever been to one, you know it too. Something that always frustrates me is the seemingly random order the food is delivered. People who ordered after us received their food ahead of ours and their orders were larger than ours, had the same types of items (burgers and fries) and some even included milkshakes. Every time I've been to this particular, In-N-Out it seems like there's new employees. Lol perhaps they're all college or high school students? They always seem nice and efficient, I just wonder about rollovers and how happy the lawyers are. I was able to get my order rather fast, and luckily, there was no line! My puppies love, the burger patties and you can order them without any salt and seasoning! Nice little treat after a long 3 mile walk with these 10-year-old huskies! Hee I did the drive-through since there was somewhat of a line inside. Probably the worst In and Out burger I've ever had. I love a good Double-Double but this was awful. The bun was grilled so much that it was hard, the onion and tomato was cut so thick, it just made the burger fall apart. The patties were also completely cooked to death, which then made the patties like hard disks of tasteless meat. Not to mention, the guy at the window argued with me about how I could order my burger... he basically told me I was lying when I told him how the Redding In and Out would make mine a certain way... Before shopping at Costco, I decided to stop by In-N-Out to get lunch. It's also located within the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center. Arrived around 11:30am and was surprised that it was not crowded nor was there a line of cars in the drive-thru lane, which I normally see at the In-N-Out in my City. With one person in front of me, I ordered and easily found my choice of seat and waited for my number to be called. Menu is still the simplest around with your choice of Double-Double, Cheeseburger, Hamburger, Fries and beverages. Oh, In-N-Out regulars know about the Secret Menu, which offers preparation variations of the menu items. My Double-Double with grilled onions was simple yet delicious as usual. Freshly cut fries had a light crisp and were not greasy at all. Keep forgetting to order them well-done for the extra crisp. Restaurant was clean and tables were maintained. Always a good experience at this In-N-Out, especially so recently (Sunday, August 11th). Upon picking up my tray of food and bringing it to the drink station, one half of the cut-in-half cheeseburger I ordered for my niece and nephew fell onto the floor. I'm not a big believer in the "5 Second Rule" (at least away from home), and so I went to get another one. Brent and Sherlyn both helped me and were especially gracious in simply making another one for free - I believe it was Brent who offered to do so, and once it was ready, Sherlyn brought it to our table.
