New owners at this location have really shaken things up for the worse. They changed the manager from Jennifer who was great to Sam who is extremely rude and has backward social communication issues - they scraped the bottom of the barrel for this position to save a few bucks. The attitude of this new management is just plain indifference about giving a good experience and it shows in the quality of the food, condition of the restaurant, and treatment of customers. There are way fewer smiles in this place by everybody. When the owners are out of the building, the Managers lower the customer service standards even lower likely because they believe they are underpaid or unhappy for some other reason. Many of the Saline kids no longer work here. You are more likely to find a dirty table when you dine in than not. The condiment shelves are kept empty, so you have to go up to the pickup counter to get ketchup and wait for somebody to turn around to help you, which can take minutes some times. Half full fries are the rule. I have to ask for topped off fries every third time. You occasionally will get a stale bun too. The new owners don't support the local charities anymore and are not participating in the fundraisers that this McDonalds has supported for years. This was so disappointing. It used to be fun to come here, but now it is just a place to go for convenience. read more

I ordered from the mobile app for curbside delivery at 11:55am on Sunday for me and my grandsons. At 12:08pm I went into the store after 13 minutes of waiting and asked about my food. The young lady at the counter called for the manager who walked past, pointed were a man was working on my order, and kept working. At that time it looked like they were loading the fries so I went back to the locked car to be with my grandsons, figuring the food would be right out. At 12:17pm I went back into the store because it still wasn't out. The man was carrying my food out so I returned to my car with him. I asked him the name of the manager and he was very rude and said they do not give out names since they have a new owner. When I was giving the food to my grandsons I noticed it was cold, then I saw that my McChicken only had mayo on it and it indicated it was for the drive thru. I had ordered a McChicken with mayo, lettuce, and pickles. I'm sure the person in the DT that got my sandwich was not happy either. At that point, I was running late so I did not return to the store, especially since the staff were already so dismissive that I knew I was just going to get more frustrated. I have been going to that McDonald's for over 3 decades and never had that level of service before. It shouldn't take 22 minutes to get your order no matter how busy they were, and then to get a cold order, and the order was wrong was beyond acceptability. Not sure why I keep going back... I guess the convenience, it's surely not the quality! Today we received 3 frozen drinks that were half frozen! Two had odd bubbles at the top, didn't realize how nasty they were until I had pulled out or these would've went back! You might be thinking they were setting while waiting for other food, not the case. We went used the drive thru and waited less than 2 minutes. This is not the first time we have received repulsive food here, it's gotta be hurting sales. I'm guessing a silent owner somewhere is wondering why this location doesn't perform better financially! I hate that my spouse loves McDonalds. This place has screwed up every order we've made. Today we ordered nuggies, a double quarter pounder with cheese, 2 large fries, and two large diets. Im a traveling nurse in the area , Im Africa American women , I go through the drive thru and gives the cashier a 10 bill , which she checks to see if it real. The person next to her ask her why shes checking a 10 bill and the older white women laughs and closes the window.  The old white women was rude and very disrespectful. The young girl she was training did no laugh or think anything was funny. She was probably just as surprised at the situation. I spoke with the manger and the manger blow it off stating the checking all bills but if that was true why would the young women next to her make that comment of why are you checking bills? We stopped here for a quick bite for the girls before dance. They were out of chicken tenders, ketchup, and toppings for some of the burgers. 80% of the tables were dirty, and all the trash receptacles were full. The guy who rang us up was friendly, but very distracted at the same time. He got the order wrong, and we didn't have time to make corrections. It's time for new management or new ownership. Play area could use attention, as the surfaces are obviously dirty, and with the same gross stuff noted on a few visits in a row. A few times we've been teenagers have been hanging out up inside the kids structure too. Tables in main lobby always seems clean, but the play space ones tend to need more attention. I reviewed this place a while back. I gave it two stars, thought it was okay. Well, I visited it recently, and I felt the need to redo that review. At first, I said this place was cleaner than most McDonald's. My latest visit proves that statement false. This McDonald's had peoples food everywhere! It was like walking into a pigpen! I also said that this McDonald's had great service. I feel that the people working here are nice, which is one of the pleasant parts of it. However, the ice cream machine was broken. It always seems to be broken, but that's not a valid excuse for me. They need to be on top of things like that! Especially with St. Patrick's Day around the corner! If I want a shamrock shake, then I better get a shamrock shake!! Also, something seemed to be wrong with the pop machine. I tried filling my cup with dr. Pepper, but it was filled with water instead! This is unacceptable!! I pay for a pop, I expect a pop. That's just the way it is. There was a constant ringing noise through the speaker as well. When you eat food, you don't want to be listening to a constant ringing noise, you want to maybe listen to some music, and talk to who you're eating your food with. This is a nicer McDonald's than the ones I've visited on either coast. Comfy, upscale seating area. Makes you wonder what the poor people are doing today... Great place to grab a bite to eat; just stay away from the screaming, vermin kids in the play area. For those who are complaining about the drive thru: did you ever listen to the great Joe Pesci? I ordered 2 fish filets with extra pickle, 2 medium fries and 2 frappes but was cut off and told the frappe machine was down (quite frustrating when I'm on my way to work and have no other option aside from gas station coffee now. So nothing lol.) so I switched to a pop instead. Then when I got my food I was handed the food and the window was shut, I said have a nice day but was ignored, and when I pulled over in the lot to eat I noticed there is NO salt on the fries at all and of course this is my sandwich?! No I wasn't given a receipt either, but that isn't my fault. I'm so frustrated and I don't understand why I was treated like this over a simple order and there NO way I'm going back through the line just to be disregarded further. (Update:) I decided to go back around anyway and they didn't need a receipt, and they fixed my order properly for free. Mcdonalds single cheeseburgers have no sesame seeds, that's why I like to treat myself once in a while - but today, for some reason they swapped out the bottom half of the bun with the bottom of one that had seeds hiding along the top edge. I didn't notice until I was almost done eating the burger. they're pretty lucky my allergy only causes stomach upset and joint pain and isn't the more severe type where you could die. gah. sesame is in everything. even burgers with no seeds. you might think I'm being picky, but they really need to train their people in allergens. I would have given a 5 Star but they have one employee that just ruins the experience. The workers behind the counter are great! However, that tall woman with a pony tail that that "takes care of the floor" was unprofessional. I feel bad for her colleagues. There was an honest mistake on the order. I explained to her. I ordered an iced coffee in the drive through. What I received was an iced coffee with cream and sugar already added. I would never drink this any way but black. I'm diabetic so the sugar and carbs are not something I need or want. Extra gross is with a pandemic someone is putting in sugar and cream packets into my drink - more manhandling than necessary. At lunchtime on a weekday, the drive-through line wraps around the building and into the street, causing a backup onto Michigan Ave. The place gets slammed at lunchtime, while nearby Wendy's has a line and wait time that are much shorter. Wendy's is just a little farther east on the south side of Michigan Ave., with the added bonus of a light that helps you get in and out of the place without stress. This McDonald's location was one of the first to try to become Starbucks-like, with cool-looking chairs and a coffee house vibe. I do admit that I like the little "isolation room" as a place to meet and chat with friends for some heavy-duty hand stitching. Maybe they meant the room to be for business meetings, but I like it for crafting with my buddies. McDonald's execs: If you read this, I'd like you to know that I don't like McD french fries any more, now that they're skinny and dry. Maybe it's better that way. This location is so awful! I don't get McDonald's very often, but the couple of times I went through the drive through last year resulted in messed up orderes. Then, tonight, after an urgent care visit, I promised my toddler an ice cream to cheer him up. 9:15 p.m. on a Friday night, and it took 22 minutes to get a hot fudge sundae. This McDonald's location is awful. It's fast food, but not fast at all. Whenever I pick up something it takes at least 15 minutes in the drive thru. If I'm in the only one going through the drive thru, it still takes 8 minutes. Why? Because people in the drive thru window are yapping with my food in their hand, but have to finish their convo before opening the window to hand it to me. Also, the night manager there (around 11:15 at night, middle aged lady) is very rude. She hands me my food, I say "have a good night" and she says nothing back. How hard is it to be polite when I waited patiently for you to finish your conversation to hand me my food? It could be better but where else you gonna go.... For some reason the small city of Saline lacks any significant restaurants despite the extremely large white collar population. Cleanliness could be better but the solid prices can't be beat by any local competitors. Employees are all nice and treat customers very well. The one downside is everything you order will be covered in grease even if you order a salad. The grease problem in unexplainable and really kills their opportunity at a high rating. read more

Their lines are too long and they didn't let me finish my order once. I think they should get a faster drive thru worker or try to quicken up costumers. But other than that, their food is fantastic and their restaurant is for the most part very clean. The play place is incredibly clean and very kid safe, making me feel a lot better when my children play. They could make a few adjustment but for now their place is incredible! Their parking lot is a good size, and not too far out of town, making it easy to get to. I love this McDonalds. read more
