We dropped by the Kietzke Lane McDonald's to grab a quick bite to eat. When we arrived at the restaurant, the nearby middle school just let out so we just finished placing our order at the kiosk just as a gaggle middle boys entered the restaurant. After a short wait, the manager delivered our drink orders first: a Mocha Frappe, an Orange Dream refresher and a medium Diet Coke. A little later, the same manager delivered our food: 2 medium fries, a 20-pcs Chicken Nugget and a 4-pcs McCrispy Strip. The food and drinks were your standard McDonald's fare but at least the Nuggets and McCrispy tastes fresh. The atmosphere could've been less chaotic but the establishment has no control over which clientele walks through the door and boys pretty much kept to themselves-- as rowdy as they were; so, with that said, our most visit to Kietzke McDonald's was fairly positive. read more

I'm having a difficult time understanding the 1-1/2 star overall rating of this restaurant. I grab the occasional breakfast burrito/sandwich, McNuggets, maybe something from the burger family, at least twice a week. Always with large unsweetened iced teas. Safe to say that's 50 visits to this location alone. They've always taken my order correctly. They've always filled it exactly and the food is always hot. I don't find long lines, either. I've dealt with several people that are friendly, professional and obviously capable. Don't laugh. I also have a dozen other stories about stores where the people are clueless. I find it pretty incredible that I've never had a negative experience here. It's gotten to the point where I drive out of my way to come here. read more

Juliette with the pretty glasses runs this place like a tight ship. Her customer service is unwavering and yet I've seen her do everything a person at work could do, but most ignore. Our food was hot and she brought it into the play place for us. I took the time to write this review because as a family we appreciate the play place and after Juliette's service I had to call her out. This McDonald's was the most disgusting dining experience I've had. It took 35 minutes in the drive thru. They got my order wrong twice and by the time I got my breakfast, it was ice cold and lo and behold, they forgot the egg on my egg and sausage biscuit! The patrons were visibly upset. In fact, the lady in front of me demanded her money back before she stormed off. I don't have particularly high expectations and I seldom write a review, but this is one exception..... story time! so went in to pick up order I placed online w drive-thru ... the lines were long and backed up .... went to the window to get my order .. they were so busy I think I waited bout 10 min.. then left w no order ... but it will go back on my card. Nope , didn't happen... went in spoke w a kind mgr who also apologized for the inconve of the night befores shenanigan, she suggest give it a bit to return on to the card .. My grandkids' favorite Mcdonald's location because of the play place. I have no qualms about bringing them here because the restaurant is clean, service is relatively quick and the food is usually fine. The best things about this location? They're open late and they have a play place! I have dined in and ordered through the drive thru with no issues. I'm writing this review on a Saturday night at around 9 pm, while I'm sitting in the play area, waiting for our food. Yes, it's late, but I have some of the grandkids for the weekend and this is a good place for them to run around safely (and loudly!), tire themselves out so they can fall asleep easily when we get back home. I had ordered through the kiosk, got my receipt and brought the number table tent with me. There are hardly any other customers in the entire restaurant, so I don't feel bad about my grandkids thoroughly enjoying themselves. Our food took about 17 minutes to be brought to our table. Not bad, except that the fries weren't hot which is never fun. But my grandkids didn't seem to mind so I let it go. I must mention they have paper straws tonight. Uggghhh ... why? MOLD! I usually eat sandwiches upside down, so I turned over my Deluxe McCrispy and I found two VERY visible spots of mold on the bottom bun. I used to work at a McDonald's, so if you don't know the buns are supposed to be inspected before even opening the package, but that's not the worst part. The buns are separated and placed face down on a conveyor belt to toast them. This means that the employee who made my sandwich placed the buns face down on the conveyor belt where they clearly would have seen the mold, went ahead with making the sandwich anyway, and served it to me knowing there was mold on it! What has happened to McDonald's? I remember eating here many years ago. In fact, when McD started out in Southern California, aYUP, I am old. The taste of a burger was very satisfying. Then, for some reason, they kept changing it into a horrible, flat, unimaginative burger. This is what I had today, truly god awful. The low stars are probably from an older crew/ management. This is literally the only McDonalds in Reno that can make my food the way I order it. It's crazy how bad the other locations are. This one appears to be solid all the way though. The workers are consistent and friendly. They get orders out fast and accurate. They clearly have management and workers that care more. Where does one go for breakfast after a pleasant (dinner, show, and after drinks) overnight at the Grand Sierra Nevada Casino? McDonald's on the way home! That's our pattern folks. When the stay is over, there's no use lingering over breakfast at the Hotel. Google Maps informed me that this was the closest McDonalds and after receiving our breakfast combos (bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit for me and a sausage McMuffin for Gayle), we headed back to I-580 and enjoyed our "nutritional" breakfast on the road. Our McDonald's experience was OK. We had drive through to ourselves, ordering and payment (1st Window) was efficient, and the goods were delivered quickly at the second window. Absolutely the worst service of any "fast" food restaurant EVER! It was the only place open early morning and my wife wanted a McDonalds Apple Pie for her morning birthday snack. We had already been through the line once for sandwiches and were told at the order queue it would be a 4 minute wait after we already waited 10-15 minutes to get there. We finally got our sandwiches after another 10 minutes, ate in the parking lot, then decided to go back through for the apple pie. After another 15-20 minute wait (we watched at least 4-5 cars turn around to leave behind us), we finally got back to the order station. We were told it would take 12 minutes to warm up the apple pie and he didn't sound like he really wanted to make it. We told them we've already waited that long in line and expect to wait another 12 minutes to get to the pay window. He said they now have 3 staff rather than 2 and it would go quicker now. It didn't. When we finally got to the pay window at 5:45am on 5/26/21, the cashier, Jose, did not know our order. When I told him, he said, "we don't have it, so I added a cinnamon roll instead, is that ok?" We said no, we want the apple pie we ordered. He said, "we don't have it." We tried to explain what we'd been told before, but he rudely interrupted, stating "that order was taken by someone else and I just got here. It will take 12 minutes to make that. Do you want to wait?" I said we already did wait. I told him we want our money back, then he demanded, "fine, give me back the roll and I'll give you a refund," then barked, "I just need you to get out of my line." He reiterated that a couple times. We left and will never be back. I suggest Jose be fired or at least removed from any interaction with the public. He never apologized for the delay, then added insult to injury by being extremely rude and hostile to a customer already delayed for almost an hour after 2 drive-thrus. read more
