This McDonalds needs some serious help from corporate. We tried to stop here on our way out of town last week, like many other families, and waited over 30 minutes for a biscuit and coffee. We placed our order at 6:30am and didn't receive it until a little after 7. If we hadn't already paid, we would have driven off. Please do not stop here! Absolutely the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is hands-down the slowest fast food I've ever experienced. We waited forever in the drive-thru just to be met with rude service. When we politely asked for a simple cup of ice at the window, the employee literally just shook his head no and slammed the window shut without saying a single word. Completely unprofessional. To make it worse, our drinks came with no ice at all, even though they were supposed to, and both Happy Meals were missing apple slices. It's clear there's no attention to detail or care about the customer experience at all. Honestly, this location is so poorly run it needs to be shut down. I am really torn writing this review about McDonald's. The first time I went the service is great and the food was actually really good for McDonald's. Then I went back again the other morning and got the wrong order, but that's besides the point. The bad part was the cashier taking the money at the drive thru was pretty much rude, so after dealing with her and getting the wrong food was not a great experience. So tomorrow morning, I plan on going back and telling them they gave me the wrong food and hopefully they give me the right food this time. Perhaps I'll update the review after this. read more

Lazy and unprofessional service. Advertising this weird "Grimace Shake" all over their bags and cups but don't even have it. They were out of all ice cream products--shocking (sarcastic if you couldn't tell)--and proceeded to serve undercooked chewey fries after a five minute wait. Goodness, where do I start. We have a vacation house here and frequently come down here. Kids love McDonald's. This McDonald's has to be one of the worst McDonald's we have experienced. Let's start with the positives: Convenient location Decent seating area Here are the often negatives: Wrong orders and slow to correct them Rude employees. Come on, if you don't want to work here, quit. Slow service Frequently out of drinks and extremely messy drink station. Prices are notably HIGHER than other McDonald's. I really wish corporate would come to this location and evaluate it. Frankly, it is a shame to have the McDonald's name on this establishment. My family and I went through the drive-thru for a quick bite. We ordered three large fries, two frozen cokes, and a frappuccino. The lady on the loud speaker sounded annoyed and did not want to communicate. When I placed my order, she merely replied by saying, in a high-pitched nasal tone, "I can't do that." There was nothing special about our order and I was very confused. When I asked her what she couldn't do. The girl only replied by saying, "I can't do that." When I asked her again what she couldn't do was it the fries, the fozen Cokes, or the Frappuccino. The lady said again "I can't do that." So I repeated each item on our order and asked if she could prepare the item. "Can you make the fries?" Long pause... "yes..." "Can you make the frozen Cokes?" Long pause... "yes..." "Can you make the Frappuccino?" Long pause... "I can't do that..." I replied, "Okay, so change the Frappuccino to a frozen Coke. So we'll be having three frozen Cokes and three large fries." And all I got was dead silence... We waited for a few minutes for the reply, but no confirmation came. Eventually we just drove around to the window and paid for our food. To my shock and surprise the order was taken correctly. However, our fries seemed stale, like they were left over from yesterday and then refried that day. To the lady that took our order, I'm sorry you don't like your job. But all I wanted was a three fries and three frozen Cokes. This is an absolutely disgusting place. Trash was not just overflowing the cans, it was stacked up on top and on the floor. Every table was filthy with either spilled condiments or random pieces of trash. And this was the public facing side. Worst McDs I've ever been in as far as cleanliness. As soon as me & my family walked in we all had our shoes stick to the floor. Water or something was spilled on the floor by the drink dispenser. Food was fair but my wife's first chicken wrap tasted like fish instead of chicken. Service was fine, all other food was fine. Unfortunately, it was only eatery in town open after 9pm on a Saturday. I travel a lot and visit many fast food joints, including mcdonalds. I am a port saint joe regular and usually if I need a bite to eat quick I grab it here. It's clean and the food is better than most mcdonalds. The only thing I have to criticize them about is they are a little slow during the day when they aren't busy.
