The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger with onion rings. The burger was HUGE and extremely good. This is a classic smash-style burger cooked on a flat top, so if you're expecting a charbroiled flavor, that's not what you'll find here. That said, I really enjoyed it. Mine was a tad over-seasoned, but I'll take slightly over-seasoned over a bland burger any day. My only real complaint was the bacon. It was a little stringy, so when I took a bite, an entire strip tended to pull out with it. That meant I basically got all the bacon in a couple of bites and then it was gone. Also, be prepared: this is a messy burger. The bun was fine, but it really couldn't stand up to the size and weight of two patties and all the toppings. By the end, you're probably going to need both hands and plenty of napkins. The onion rings were good and made a great side. I'll definitely be back. Next time I'll probably skip the bacon and try some of their less traditional burger toppings. If you like big, juicy, flat-top burgers and don't mind getting a little messy, Richie's is absolutely worth trying.

Delivery options were pretty limited, but I noticed online that LongBill's delivered, so I placed an order. About 30 minutes later, I received a call asking if we were on our way to pick up our food. That's when I realized something had gone wrong. I had thought I was ordering delivery, but somehow the order had been placed for pickup instead. Whether it was a mistake on my end or just a misunderstanding, I honestly don't know. What I do know is that I hadn't realized the restaurant was about 35 minutes from where we were staying. It was already late, and we'd enjoyed a few drinks, so making the drive simply wasn't an option. The woman I spoke with couldn't have been kinder. She actually offered to deliver our food herself after she got off work--even though she lived about 45 minutes from the restaurant. I was honestly blown away by her generosity, but I couldn't possibly let her do that. It was such an incredibly thoughtful offer, and we truly appreciated it. I assumed that would be the end of it. After all, the mix-up was very likely mine. The next day, however, Michael, the manager, called and invited my family to come in for a meal on the house since we hadn't been able to enjoy our dinner the night before. Wow. I've been fortunate enough to travel all over the world, and I can honestly say I've never experienced that level of genuine care and customer service. It wasn't just Michael. It was the woman who called the first night, the server who took care of us when we came in, and every other employee we encountered. Every employee treated us with kindness, generosity, and a genuine desire to make things right before there was ever an opportunity for us to ask. It wasn't simply good customer service--it was hospitality at its very best. And yes, the food was excellent, too. My daughter and I ordered the smash burgers, and they were honestly some of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The fries were hot and fresh, and my husband really enjoyed his pizza as well. Thank you to Michael and the entire LongBill's team for reminding us what true hospitality looks like. Great food may bring people through the door once, but it's the way you treat your customers that brings them back. If you're deciding where to eat on Cape San Blas, give LongBill's a try. It actually felt comfortable and welcoming and had a really good, casual barbecue-joint vibe. The pulled pork sandwich was good, and I appreciated the attention to detail, especially the buttered and toasted bun. The pork had very good flavor, and I got quite a bit of bark in my sandwich, which I normally love. What surprised me was that the bark didn't seem to have any seasoning on it. There were some fairly large pieces from the outside of the pork butt, and I was expecting to see a good coating of seasoning, with visible salt, pepper, garlic, and other spices on the outside of the pork. Instead, there really wasn't any seasoning on it at all. It was basically just the browned exterior of the pork. The meat was also a little dry, almost like it might have been a day past its prime, but it still had good flavor. The Brunswick stew was very tasty, although it was thinner than I expected. I'm used to Brunswick stew being pretty thick and hearty, and this was definitely on the thinner side. The portion was also surprisingly small. It came in a little ramekin that I'd consider closer to half a side than a full side. Service was a little unusual. The guy working the counter when I ordered didn't seem particularly comfortable dealing with customers. After I paid, another gentleman who appeared to be the owner came back and took over the front. He was extremely friendly and made a point of thanking me for stopping by, which left me with a much better impression. Overall, there were a few things I think could have been better, but nothing that would keep me from coming back. The food had good flavor, the place had a welcoming feel, and I definitely want to give Sparky's another try. Next time, I'm going for the brisket.

Growing up on the Gulf, you can tell when seafood's fresh and hasn't been sitting frozen for a month, and these passed the test. Our server was dope.
