i walk in to this establishment and immediately get a smell of the worst stench ive ever smelled. Come to find out an employee was smearing FECES on the walls... food was alright. THIS EMPLOYEE NEEDS TO BE FIERD IMMEDIATELY (i found a photo of him after talking to one of his coworkers)

It was good. Didn't have to wait long. The order was correct. The correct sauces were included.

Richie's is definitely worth a stop if you're looking for a big, old-fashioned burger in Port St…read more Joe. It's a casual setup with a drive-through and walk-up window, plus a covered outdoor seating area. There are plenty of fans, which made sitting outside tolerable even on a very hot day. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger with onion rings. The burger was HUGE and extremely good. This is a classic smash-style burger cooked on a flat top, so if you're expecting a charbroiled flavor, that's not what you'll find here. That said, I really enjoyed it. Mine was a tad over-seasoned, but I'll take slightly over-seasoned over a bland burger any day. My only real complaint was the bacon. It was a little stringy, so when I took a bite, an entire strip tended to pull out with it. That meant I basically got all the bacon in a couple of bites and then it was gone. Also, be prepared: this is a messy burger. The bun was fine, but it really couldn't stand up to the size and weight of two patties and all the toppings. By the end, you're probably going to need both hands and plenty of napkins. The onion rings were good and made a great side. I'll definitely be back. Next time I'll probably skip the bacon and try some of their less traditional burger toppings. If you like big, juicy, flat-top burgers and don't mind getting a little messy, Richie's is absolutely worth trying.

The loaded tots were S tier. I could eat my body weight in those alone and call it a meal. I had the BLT and it's a proper BLT -- thick bacon and a lot of it, none of that two-sad-strips business. The hush puppies were awesome too. Every table's got a bottle of Ed's Red, a hyper-local hot sauce, and man, that stuff is good. You love to see Florida products and Florida food represented like that. My father-in-law got the captain's platter -- straight seafood galore. The scallops were my favorite, though to be fair scallops are my favorite just about anywhere, long as they're fresh. Growing up on the Gulf, you can tell when seafood's fresh and hasn't been sitting frozen for a month, and these passed the test. Our server was dope. Sports bars just get better when the wait staff actually knows sports and can banter with you -- makes the whole place feel that much more real. Only real complaint: not nearly enough Gator memorabilia on the walls. Fix that and it's perfect.

Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the bartender. I was absolutely shocked by how unprofessional and disrespectful her behavior was. We overheard her make a comment saying she "didn't think people with Down syndrome could read, let alone chug a beer." Regardless of who the comment was directed toward, making a remark like that is completely inappropriate. But saying it loudly enough for the person being talked about to hear it made it even worse. It took everything I had not to say something right then. People with Down syndrome deserve the same dignity, respect, and kindness as everyone else. There is no excuse for humiliating or making fun of someone because of a disability--especially while you're at work representing a business. Again, Kaydee was wonderful, but the bartender's behavior left such a bad impression that it overshadowed what otherwise could have been a great experience. I sincerely hope management addresses this.

My comment is strictly constructive but at walk in of restaurant it looked a bit "unkempt" dirty tables , little stuffy , lady behind bar looked overwhelmed and the kitchen ( In View ) floor was a mess . It was rough at best . Just sayin that being said - those are fixable . Not a lot to choose from on the Cape but I might go back if I was really really hungry and I had no other choice .

We grabbed a seat outside by the bar, which turned out to be a great choice. Troy was our server and bartender, and he was excellent! He's the Jamaican bartender another reviewer mentioned, and I can definitely see why. He was friendly, attentive, and made our experience even better. The drinks were, to say the least... oh my! A few sips in, and I could definitely feel the alcohol doing its job. The Rum Runners and piña coladas were both delicious. We ordered the blackened fish tacos, and they were excellent as well. The covered outdoor patio has a fun, laid-back atmosphere, and they feature live music on weekend evenings, which adds to the experience. Everyone we encountered was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely friendly, with the kind of hospitality you usually only find in the South. We had such a great experience that coming back a second time was an easy decision, and we'd happily return again the next time we're in town.

For the price and quality of the food, it isn't worth almost $30 to pay for a shrimp taco that I asked to be blackened so that they could put soggy pico de gallo on it. The shrimp was mushy because it was probably frozen. My husband got shrimp too, and he had to send it back because it was mushy as well, and the slaw was warm and brown. Overall, this place is a tourist trap; there are plenty of seafood places with great, quality food and drinks that are much cheaper.

The broccoli was fine, while the asparagus was tender without being tough. We also enjoyed the warm, pre-sliced dark bread served with butter. Our server was excellent. He appeared to be handling most of the dining room while also working as the bartender, and he worked extremely hard. We waited a little while for our checks, but that was understandable considering everything he was managing. Most entrées were under $20, and even the steaks were priced in the low $20s. Several people in our party ordered steaks and said they were every bit as good as steaks they've had at dedicated steakhouses. Be sure to look for the colorful lampshade with dollar bills, including some $5 bills, taped inside it. Pepper's Mexican Grill & Cantina previously occupied this building before moving to a larger location down the street, and we were told those bills were the first tips earned at Pepper's. It's a fascinating little piece of the building's history. PSJ Grill 224 Reid Avenue Port St. Joe, FL 32456

My server did not speak English, and after several attempts to communicate my question, I gave up and ordered the regular Philly cheesesteak instead. The cheesesteak was completely bland and unseasoned. No salt, no pepper, no garlic, no onion powder--nothing. The fries were just as bland and came out completely unsalted. If your doctor prescribes a tasteless diet, then I'd recommend checking this place out. The restaurant itself actually looks pretty nice inside. You can tell they invested a lot in the flooring and walls, and overall the interior made a good first impression. I'm not saying I would never give PSJ Grill another try. I might come back one evening and order an entrée instead of having a sandwich for lunch. But based on my first visit, I was unimpressed. I ate bland, unseasoned food and could not communicate with my server."
