Absolutely incredible!!! We stopped in today for lunch and were blown away by how delicious everything was. We ordered all three kinds of tacos, a cheeseburger, and tallow fries. My daughter hates seafood, but tried a bite of my fish taco, and she said she's now debating ordering those if we come back later this week. That's high praise coming from a non-seafood eater. Service was prompt, and the restaurant was clean with funny signs adorning the walls. We definitely plan to come back while we're in the area. Cash only. Walking into the place you are hit with various rules and signs everywhere. Right away I figured this place must be known for food not their service. I asked 1 question "is the grouper fried or grilled?" He said look at the food photos and referred me to photos that looked about 15yrs old and faded He then sharply answered Grilled. Thanks to yelps photos it is grilled w/ blackened type spices. Every year when we come to the Cape from Georgia ( usually when we are in Alabama) I start reminding my husband that we need to eat at Peachy's at least every day. I usually don't stop mentioning it until I have had those wonderful fish tacos! Absolutely the best I have ever eaten and I make it a point to try them everywhere we visit that has them on the menu! First, cash only establishment, and I'm ok with it. It keeps costs down for everyone no matter what you purchase in life. Extremely clean restaurant. Food is fresh, and we've never had a bad meal. I'll drive in from town just to eat here. This is a two person operation that has to keep things moving in order to get your meal out in a timely fashion. Time literally is money especially during high season. No substitutions. I'm ok with this. They are able to get some flavorful food out quickly. I've found the owners to be nothing but gracious. We stopped here for a quick lunch while on Cape San Blas. Our tacos were very tasty. This place is cash only so make sure you've got cash on you. The owner was quite nice and helpful. I will say though, that Peachy's has an unusual ordering system where guests fill out an order form and add up there own totals. The menu is limited, and they don't do special orders. If you can get past all that, get in here and try it out. You can even bring your doggies. Ours were with us while we ate. read more

Came for lunch before hitting the beach. You order at the counter and pay in cash. It's a cozy and no frills place, but the food is really excellent. We have come to Peachy's at least 3 times without fail when in the Port St Joe area. I would consider my entire family to be foodies, and we make a point to eat local wherever we are. If you are a Seinfeld fan you will smile and reminisce about how Jerry and George feared the "Soup Nazi" who had the most delicious soup in the city, but was very strict about how you ordered. Peachy's ordering is no nonsense and serious about their "Great food, no service" moto. This is no Burger King, where you get it your way! This is Peachy's where the pico is diced in tiny perfect squares, the seafood is beautifully prepared, and the portions are generously served with an obvious love and pride that are seldom found anymore. So bring cash, read the instructions, fill out the ordering card, and don't pass the yellow line to order unless you're prepared to make your own change. Tacos are really delicious (every flavor, we tried them all). This place has a lot of personality and attitude, we love it. If you take a moment to appreciate this little gem for what it is, you'll surely love it too. The owner is kind and friendly, but takes a moment to warm up to you. I'm sure he gets his fair share of jerky tourists, so I completely understand. If you're looking for a "customer is always right" kind of place, this is NOT it. Excellent! Stopped in right before they closed but they were hospitable enough to serve us. The food was delicious. It's a very unique self service almost concept where you write your own order on a slip when you go in , make your own change at the counter, seat yourself, and make sure and clean your own tables when you're finished for the next guest. If a restaurant decides to take a no communication with the customer, no exceptions, cash only approach, the food should be flawless. I still can't quite get over the rude signs and "rules" for service. I can appreciate the desire to have a unique business with specialities but execution of this should still put the customer in a position where they feel welcome. All of the restaurants in Cape San Blas and Port St. Joe were slammed with 2 hour waitlists and this place had one other customer if that says anything. It's rare we have cash and just wanted to grab a bite close by instead of going home hot and tired and with kids to clean the sand off of and THEN cooking, so we had to count up any and all cash we could scrounge up between us just to eat. My husband got the mahi tacos and they were tasty. We only had enough cash after that to get a cheeseburger. I was wanting more than that, as the BBQ dream taco thing looked really appealing, but the inconvenience of cash only in this world, really just pushed me over the edge. If I could have paid with card I would have spent more money in this establishment, and that's sad Bc I like to support local business owners. It's just indescribably delicious when that peachy bbq sauce marries with the pork juices on that buttery toasted bun. I am happy to see another restaurant option on Cape San Blas! Peachy's is bright and clean and offers a simple menu. I almost left because I was having a bit of a communication problem with the one person who was working, but I'm not the easiest person when it comes to an order because I always want to change things. Anyway, I ended up with the mango mahi tacos with the regular slaw instead of the mango slaw, and they were terrific. So glad I didn't leave. I love the special sauce that they use. I had her put the sauce on the side because I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I ate it all up. They will probably not be open year-round, and for now they are open just at the end of the week. I believe they will open full-time when the vacationers come back in April or May. Very tasty and fresh, and so nice to have a fish option besides shrimp and grouper. (PS - maybe call first to see if they are open as they are struggling to find the right balance of days/times to be open with so few customers on the Cape this time of year. Or, if you are making a trip to the Trading Post to get supplies and you see that they are open, take advantage of your luck!) read more

It's a quick self service experiment with food thats anything but a fast food experience. You and your party choose your meals from pictures and descriptions and everyone uses one clipboard with a tab to make their order. You add up your total and pay with cash or check and leave a tip in the tip box . If you need change you make change in the "change" box. Drinks are available in the coolers. Theat can make an order for a family of five very quickly . The quality of the food is top notch. the nachos are exceptional . The portions are large also.
