Shrimp scampi
Vicki B.

We had a scrumptious dinner Friday night. We were seated on the porch and were well taken care of with quick service. Fridays special is paella- shrimp, scallops, sausage and chicken over yellow rice. That was devoured by one of us. Then the ahi tuna with angel hair and capers was a delight and no leftovers there either. My dish was the Port Saint Joe sauté. With scallops and shrimp over spinach noodles with artichokes. Loved it! My boyfriend had the shrimp scampi and arrived with beautiful broccoli and large Shrimp! We had the goat cheese bruschetta as an appetizer and the bartender was excellent with the cocktails.

Provisions is a wonderful restaurant. Tha atmosphere is quaint. The servers are attentive. I've been a few times and never had anything less than yummy. Betty Spaghetti is by far my favorite restaurant spaghetti. It's just like homemade. Their sandwiches are so good. But what puts the cherry on top of the meal is their chocolate cake!! Yes... yes it is simply the best!!

I have been to Provisions a couple of times now and I really have enjoyed it. Service here is on point and they make sure they take great care of you ensuring you have a wonderful dining experience. Always friendly and always knowledgeable about the menu. My first visit I had the Guadalupe steak sandwich which was tender and juicy and cooked to perfection garnished with chimichurri. My last visit was for dinner and I decided to go with the St Joe Sauté which was amazing; filled with lots of shrimp and scallops. Very good and very tasty. Provisions also has a great happy hour offering $5 cocktails and reduced priced tapas.

Top notch food, service, and atmosphere ! I ordered the petite chicken piccata and my husband had the chicken Alfredo. Both were delicious! Crème Brûlée for dessert was fabulous, the crystallized top was delicious!! We love Provisions and eat here whenever we are in the area!

The Brick Wall Sports Bar & Grille - Kickin Shrimp and Nole Burger

The loaded tots were S tier. I could eat my body weight in those alone and call it a meal. I had the BLT and it's a proper BLT -- thick bacon and a lot of it, none of that two-sad-strips business. The hush puppies were awesome too. Every table's got a bottle of Ed's Red, a hyper-local hot sauce, and man, that stuff is good. You love to see Florida products and Florida food represented like that. My father-in-law got the captain's platter -- straight seafood galore. The scallops were my favorite, though to be fair scallops are my favorite just about anywhere, long as they're fresh. Growing up on the Gulf, you can tell when seafood's fresh and hasn't been sitting frozen for a month, and these passed the test. Our server was dope. Sports bars just get better when the wait staff actually knows sports and can banter with you -- makes the whole place feel that much more real. Only real complaint: not nearly enough Gator memorabilia on the walls. Fix that and it's perfect.

We grabbed a seat outside by the bar, which turned out to be a great choice. Troy was our server and bartender, and he was excellent! He's the Jamaican bartender another reviewer mentioned, and I can definitely see why. He was friendly, attentive, and made our experience even better. The drinks were, to say the least... oh my! A few sips in, and I could definitely feel the alcohol doing its job. The Rum Runners and piña coladas were both delicious. We ordered the blackened fish tacos, and they were excellent as well. The covered outdoor patio has a fun, laid-back atmosphere, and they feature live music on weekend evenings, which adds to the experience. Everyone we encountered was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely friendly, with the kind of hospitality you usually only find in the South. We had such a great experience that coming back a second time was an easy decision, and we'd happily return again the next time we're in town.

For the price and quality of the food, it isn't worth almost $30 to pay for a shrimp taco that I asked to be blackened so that they could put soggy pico de gallo on it. The shrimp was mushy because it was probably frozen. My husband got shrimp too, and he had to send it back because it was mushy as well, and the slaw was warm and brown. Overall, this place is a tourist trap; there are plenty of seafood places with great, quality food and drinks that are much cheaper.

The broccoli was fine, while the asparagus was tender without being tough. We also enjoyed the warm, pre-sliced dark bread served with butter. Our server was excellent. He appeared to be handling most of the dining room while also working as the bartender, and he worked extremely hard. We waited a little while for our checks, but that was understandable considering everything he was managing. Most entrées were under $20, and even the steaks were priced in the low $20s. Several people in our party ordered steaks and said they were every bit as good as steaks they've had at dedicated steakhouses. Be sure to look for the colorful lampshade with dollar bills, including some $5 bills, taped inside it. Pepper's Mexican Grill & Cantina previously occupied this building before moving to a larger location down the street, and we were told those bills were the first tips earned at Pepper's. It's a fascinating little piece of the building's history. PSJ Grill 224 Reid Avenue Port St. Joe, FL 32456

I originally wanted the chicken Philly and asked my server whether the chicken was all white meat,…read moredark meat, or a mix. My server did not speak English, and after several attempts to communicate my question, I gave up and ordered the regular Philly cheesesteak instead. The cheesesteak was completely bland and unseasoned. No salt, no pepper, no garlic, no onion powder--nothing. The fries were just as bland and came out completely unsalted. If your doctor prescribes a tasteless diet, then I'd recommend checking this place out. The restaurant itself actually looks pretty nice inside. You can tell they invested a lot in the flooring and walls, and overall the interior made a good first impression. I'm not saying I would never give PSJ Grill another try. I might come back one evening and order an entrée instead of having a sandwich for lunch. But based on my first visit, I was unimpressed. I ate bland, unseasoned food and could not communicate with my server."

Dinner the first and last night and coffee and a frittata in between. Really good cappuccino and the frittata was so good it surprised me. The first night I had the peninsula platter, blackened. Second dinner we got peel and eat shrimp. One of my personal favorites. Could eat pounds and pounds! Was really good! I got seafood chowder and a small salad. Friend had grouper sandwich and fries. Alex was our server this evening and thanks for not taking my fries, Alex! He was great! We briefly met the owner and she was lovely. She makes a wonderful cappuccino!!
