Best Seafood in Mexico Beach! For a food truck it's better than a lot of the sit-down restaurants in town. Stopped by and picked up one of the best shrimp po-boys I've had in a while. Not only was it delicious, but also a bigger portion than other restaurants; I was able to make 2 meals out of it. The staff here is pretty friendly. I was greeted right when I walked up by the young lady working the register. The cook called my name when my food was ready and asked if I needed anything else to go with it. I just wish they were open later so I could get something for dinner; I'd go by a lot more often. read more

I thought I took pictures, but apparently not.. sorry! The food here was fresh and delicious. I got fried scallops with fries and coleslaw. Scallop were fried just right with light batter. Fries were perfect, not too greasy with good seasoning. The coleslaw was how I like it, not mayonnaisey. My wife got the flounder tacos and they weren't overloaded with stuff like most fish tacos are. Chillin emerald coast beach vibe with a walk-up counter. No alcohol, just soda, water and tea. No bathroom that I saw.. I could be wrong though so don't quote me because I didn't ask or go looking for one. We will definitely be back when we're in the area! read more

We were so looking forward to tying out this place. My husband stood in line to order as I found us a table. Most tables were in the sun, these were random placed tables in a gravel lot, not placed in rows or anything so I thought it was ok to move one literally a foot out of the sun. When I did, this girl came out of the food truck and yelled from 30 feet away, "Mam! Do not move the tables!" Everyone in line and everyone sitting at tables turned to look at me. It was over the top and very unnecessary. When you come to an establishment, pay a lot of money for a fish taco, you shouldn't yell at your customers for all to hear for something as small as moving a table out of the sun one foot. I would have left right then and there but my husband was finishing his order. Very unprofessional place. Very disappointed in their attitude towards their customers. We definitely will not be back nor will we advise anyone else to. As far as the food...wasn't "that" killer, also, there were two people in separate cars sitting in the parking lot smoking weed. read more

Food - simmering shrimp bowl over pasta was not good. Tasted like thin tomato broth with black pepper. Tons of broth. Some pasta. The ratio was completely off. Lacked seasoning. Grilled shrimp po boy also lacked seasoning. Mayo ratio was not good. Dry. The bread was good. Whoever manned the fryer did a good job with the fries. Whoever manned the shrimp does know how to cook them. Overall the meal was bland. The menu is a blackboard with pricing difficult to read. The person taking the order had zero personality. Maybe she was having an off day. The guy handing out the prepared order had a good vibe. Tables were not clean. Overall, I trust Yelp not to steer me wrong. In this case and for the first time, my experience does not rate this food truck higher than a three. We walked away after $40. It simply wasn't worth it sadly. read more

I've always been amazed and annoyed at how difficult it is to get quick, delicious, and reasonably priced seafood on the gulf-you're options are usually limited to overpriced restaurants that serve subpar food or really fancy places. Killer seafood blows both of those out of the water. If you want good seafood right now for a good price, this is THE place. They've got a wide selection of fish, shrimp, calamari, etc and sides, and everything is great. Portions are enormous and could easily two meals. The sides are not to be missed either! Service is ultra fast and nice. Even at their busiest, you're only waiting a few minutes for them to get food together. For a food truck they actually have really good seating arrangements. There's a huge tent and lots of tables, so you can sit and enjoy your food right after getting it. The only thing is it can be wicked hot and there's not really any way to cool off other than sit under the shade (which, at high noon doesn't do much). read more

The food was great , had shrimp tacos and ordered the fried flounder which was the best Ive had in a long time. 1 star because of the worker - we initially ordered our food Togo but ended up eating it there. once we were finished eating I went up to the man and told him the food was great we really enjoyed it and he said thanks and then made a pissy remark about us eating there after we ordered Togo and I said yeah it was last minute change and then he said something about the styrofoam containers being expensive with a rude attitude. What an awesome experience after high recommendations from a friend. The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. The burger is one of the best I've ever had and my friend loves the shrimp tacos. The fries are cooked fresh and the jalapeño poppers are stuffed full and super tasty. If you're looking for a delicious meal, this is the place! Hard to beat the location right across from the beach. Food was very good. I got the mahi fish tacos on corn (gluten free) with the coleslaw. My husband got the fried shrimp po' boy with hush puppies. He's said it was good. (Also, it wasn't skimpy on shrimp and my mahi tacos had huge pieces of fish). If I had to complain the only thing I could say would be the biting gnats (no see ums or sand fleas) were fierce! We ate here because my husband really wanted seafood. I am normally vegetarian/vegan, but will eat seafood once in a while when there are no other options. I asked the server what her favorite item was and she recommended the tuna burger. The tuna was very good and mild, however the burger itself was quite flavorless. I left there underwhelmed. Luckily my burger came with 2 pickles on the sides that I added to it just to give it a little flavor. I do not normally eat or even like pickles, however the burger was so bland that I had to add them. I really felt like the food had such potential if they just put a little more effort (seasonings or sauces) into it. Because I do not normally eat meat and definitely do not cook it, I can't tell you exactly what it needed, but I'm thinking a little tangy slaw, horseradish or mustard would have done the trick. My husband got tuna tacos (and paid extra for slaw on top) that I tried, and once again, I was underwhelmed. First of all, they should NOT have mixed blended shredded cheese (which adds NOTHING and costs them more money to add). Secondly, the slaw should come on the tacos to begin with, this should not be an added condiment. Thirdly, the slaw was bland. It needs mustard or some other seasonings. All in all, the fish was fresh, but for the price, they need work. Maybe the Chef prefers bland food, I don't know. They have such potential if they would just add a little more effort. read more

Unfortunately, I did not take photos, but we had wonderful meals. I ordered the Simmering Bowl! WARNING: the base of this dish is absolutely addicting!! Makes good sopping's for the bread and/or hushpuppies. So YUMMY!! Also, the hushpuppies were some of the best. My husband had fried shrimp and scallops with 2 sides. He said it was all good! The slaw might not be for everyone because it has a bit of horseradish flavor, but I happen to love horseradish. It was my birthday so I splurged on some Key Lime pie! We have lived all over Florida and my biggest disappointment (as far as food goes) has always been the difficulty of finding a good key lime pie (I know shocking, right). Look no further!! Wow! I wish this place didn't close at 4:30. I'd eat every meal here. Killer Tuna Tacos were just that - Killer! Cole Slaw was perfectly seasoned and not heavy Mayo. Bay scallops were tender (which is hard to do given how small they are. Hush puppies were a bit plain but they aren't loaded with onion (yuck) and were cooked perfectly. They really know how to cook! Not my typical scene but work has been so overwhelming lately I needed to "calm down calm down" and here we are. When my friends picked this place I was highly concerned there were minimal places to eat within walking distance. My concerns were not warranted. They had excellent food around this area. Our first meal was here at Killer Seafood and it only got better from there. Don't be fooled by this food truck. They are preparing amazing food for their customers. I had grilled shrimp with coleslaw and hush puppies. The grilled shrimp was cooked perfectly. No rubbery shrimp here. The hush puppies were so fluffy inside. They were wonderfully made. The coleslaw tasted as though it had horseradish in it but that didn't bother me. My husband got the better meal. He ordered fried shrimp tacos and fries. Every bite he allowed me to take was a mouth full of seasoned shrimp, lettuce, cheese and some amazing sauce wrapped in a flour tortilla. They did not skimp on the shrimp. The fries were piping hot. No one likes lukewarm any thing or at least I don't. This place was so good I made my husband go back with me the next day for lunch and I myself got the shrimp tacos. I mean...what can I say about Killer Seafood...we ate there three times on our vacation. It has limited hours but it's worth going to visit if you can. The shrimp basket was amazing..best breaded shrimp we had, light and perfectly cooked. Their coleslaw was some of the best I've had, very different with some pickle relish added in there which set it off. The grilled shrimp tacos were my go to, had them every time. Killer Seafood did not disappoint. After reading reviews we got fried grouper tacos, fried shrimp, stuffer jalapeno poppers and some key lime pie to go. The poppers were stuffed with tangy, creamy filling and the fried shrimp were very lightly breaded with a corn meal breading (I think). The grouper was also lightly battered and flaky. The tacos had some slaw and sauce that made them. The key lime pie was nice and tart with a crunchy graham cracker crust. We would definitely eat there again. read more
