I've been coming to St George Island since 2001. Every trip we stop by BJ's Pizza & Subs at least twice. It's too good to have just once. They make their own honey mustard sauce and it is absolutely AMAZING! Best I've ever had. I wish they sold it in bottles. Their pizza is great and their salads are very big. Their dessert bar is great. We got a chocolate explosion cake earlier this week and it was delicious. I'm going back to try the salted caramel cheesecake. Their servers are so very friendly as well. Very accommodating. read more

Me and my family are at St. George Island for vacation. Me and my dad went here on the 2nd day because we were bored and had a good experience. Service was good, and everyone was very nice and helpful. I had the cheese pizza which was very fresh, hot, and well done. I was hungry, so I also got chicken tenders. Very good too. I really liked what it said on the wall, very funny. There was also a TV that had trivia on it. My dad cooked me. Very good and looking forward to go back during our trip. read more

The food was very good and came out on time. The ranch is top tier. The service was good it came out right in time. The mood is good for a pizza restraint and they had live music. Meat lover,Cheese, and pepperoni are all very good. read more

Not too many options on SGI. We were all really hungry and this was our best option for the last night of vacation in the area. Fresh, hot and friendly. Easy parking. read more

Shocked this is in the 3 star range. The food is SO GOOD. Good selection of canned/bottled drinks. Pizza was flavorful, fried pickles were crispy, great homemade ranch. Pretty quick considering that it was made to order and it was a busy Monday night. Nothing fancy, but what you expect for an island pizza joint. A couple dirty tables but they got cleaned quickly. Individual pizzas were the size of a paper plate, but more than enough for one person. read more

Everything was delicious! Ordered 3 types of pizza and all were excellent. Crust was crispy, not soggy. Wait staff was fabulous. We sat outside and @fliphatescheese was great! read more

Great pizza and always the place we go! We usually order to go since we have a place here. They have entertainment etc. and places to sit in and out. The taco pizza is so flipping good!!! read more

We ordered pizzas to go. So delicious! We will definitely be going back before we leave the island!

2.5 stars. It tastes like what I remember Pizza Hut tasting like as a kid. Tons of toppings, super heavy and greasy, a thick white bready crust. This is not pizza to write home about, though it does work in a pinch if you need an easy dinner after a day at the beach. Bear in mind that the service can get very backed up at prime times, so you may be waiting a while. read more

Their Caesar salad was good with a generous portion. We didn't love their pizza.... It was alright. But definitely order ahead to skip the line! Good for a takeout night. read more

The service forgot about me on the porch, waiting for the pizza. Make sure to tip after you get the pizza. Pizza not so great (over cooked) read more

Ordered take-out from BJ's recently and enjoyed it on the beach for our final night on the island. Overall good pizza! Toppings were generous, and I liked the sauce. Crust was not my favorite, but we made do lol. read more

We of course had pizza our first night here! It was great as usual! Turn days are super busy so we expected a wait! Then we got pizza and jalapeño chips another night! It was terrific! Be cautious the jalapeño chips are actual fried jalapeños! (delicious but spicy!) One day for lunch my two littles and I came in for lunch! We had a grilled chicken wrap, cheese burger and fries! It was quick and yummy! Thank you for being one of our favorite parts of SGI! read more

Surprisingly delicious for an island pizza joint! Dough had a perfect hint of sweetness, and an amazing crunch-and-chew. We got a classic pep to go, and it was ready in just about 15 minutes despite two buses full of youths clogging up the restaurant. Chicken Wing, the stray cat that lives on the porch, was a highlight. read more

Not the best pizza we've ever had or the most efficient service....but not the worst either! We ordered for pick up but the restaurant seems cleam and comfortable. Definitely the best on the island!! We will definitely return!! read more

While it wasn't the best pizza I've ever had it was pretty good. It's also the only pizzeria on the island, so by default it's the best pizza around. Atmosphere is fun, they even have an arcade to give you that feel of your childhood. Service was very good. We had a large order and they were very accommodating. Everyone was nice and helpful with our order. We had every specialty pizza as well as the fried pickles, mushrooms, and onion rings. All of those sides were great, I think the mushrooms were my favorite!! read more

There's nothing better than BJ's pizza after a day in the sun, sand, and heat! Go here!

Ordered take out. It was an exceptional pizza pie. Have been on the Island for a few days and it was closed due to cleaning or reno. It was worth the wait! read more

Pizza was good. Salad was good. Really enjoyed it having a leftover for dinner tonight.

It's decent given the limited options on the island. They should try to improve their Gluten Free crust as it's a dry cracker. The burger was good, pizza is only ok. read more

Well we had a wonderful meal here. Came here with 5 family members. I don't remember exactly what everyone had but we had no complaints. In fact a couple days later we highly considered going again. As for the wifey and I we had the White Chicken Bacon Pizza. That thing was very good. So if you're visiting the island - I'd say go, you'll enjoy your meal. UPDATE: Came back 4 days later and again a great meal for all. Again we got the White Chicken Bacon - this time we went extra fat azz and got the large. read more

Had a to go large Margarita pizza this evening. The crust was like chewing bubble gum. My wife liked it but I prefer a crisper crust like Pepe's in New Haven CT. Put in the oven and cooked it until crispy which made it much better. I wouldn't get pizza here again. My boys had subs which they said were good. read more

3 years since our last visit and nothing has changed here: still the wonderful, funny wall art and college pennants, still with friendly staff, and most importantly, still excellent pizzas, loaded with toppings. My wife had a GF margherita pizza without garlic and I had a shrimp pesto pizza; we also split a garden salad. Worth noting that we both ordered small pizzas, but will try to remember next time to order individual size instead. We both ended up wasting too much good pizza. This is a great alternative for when someone in your group says that they need a break from all the wonderful seafood options on SGI (in this case, my wife), read more

People at the front counter were nice, had waited 45 minutes for my order and when I got there they had told me they were almost done and to go in the other room. I sat in the other room for 30 minutes waiting for my order, no answer. I left because they were going to send me a text. An hour goes by, I'm about to ask for a refund but as soon as I check on my order he brings it out. Wait was way too long for mediocre food. read more

We ordered some pizza (a large pepperoni and a large margarita) after coming in from out of town. We called for takeout and the wait was on par for what they had told us (about 15-20 minutes). Honestly the pizza was pretty average, not bad but not great. The crust could use some more seasoning. It had more of a plain dough taste than a traditional pizza crust. I prefer the pizza a little more well done than it came out, but that's just a personal preference. read more

Really good pizza! We got it the first night when we got to SGI and the last night. I've seen reviews talking about the staff (in a negative way), but we had excellent service. The only negative for me is that on our last night I really wanted to try the Italian sub but when we called the order in around 5:30, we found out that subs and wraps are not available after 4:00. It's my fault for not noticing this on the menu, but even though it's in red, I didn't catch it. (That's probably on me which is why they still get a 5 star review) read more

Had a great margarethe pizza from here take out. It had a good crust and plenty of cheese and tomatoes. Excellent reheated the next day as well. read more

I never leave reviews, but with what a poor experience this was I wanted other patrons to know what they're in for. Employees were rude, rolling their eyes at customers and interrupting them when inquiring about pizzas they were waiting on for over an hour. Shouting across the dining room at customers to move into another room for their to go orders and then screaming into the kitchen at the top of their lungs to check on orders instead of walking over. The counter staff at BJ's clearly didn't want to be there and didn't want to help the customers there either. One to-go pizza took over an hour when we were told it would only be 30-45 minutes. They were so deep in the weeds that no salads, no appetizers were allowed to be bought. The restaurant was completely overwhelmed and yet they still kept taking on orders even though they were struggling to get out the orders that were waiting for 2+ hours. Disorganized, chaotic environment, which I understand can happen on a busy night--but the lack of customer service about it is inexcusable. We will not be back. read more

"Saturday night in BJ's Pizza - SGI, I spent a week here one day." For those who don't understand the allusion to an old John Denver song, that means it was a long and frustratingly boring night. It began with first-step phone order, at which time I was told "45 minutes." One hour after the phone order, there was second-step payment at the cash register. Then the process continued on for a looooong time of waiting in a crowded indoor seating/standing area. The "system" for receiving your pizza consists of standing nearly shoulder to shoulder with other customers, some of whom are especially hangry, until someone at the kitchen door or window calls your name. The experience ended when I carried out my pizzas approx. 55 minutes after payment. With the drive to/from, that's 2+ hours from "Let's get pizzas, yeah!" to "I finally have the %$@# pizzas." I suppose that's the way it goes on the Saturday night of a Monday-holiday weekend, when you're at the only pizza place on an island. A more honest estimate of order-readiness time, and a simple system for informing customers their orders are actually ready (perhaps text-message based?) would go a long way toward smoothing out the bumps in customer experience, and still bring in revenue that small businesses need in times like these. How was the pizza? It had what I would describe as New-York style crust, and a reasonably liberal amount of cheese and toppings. For all the busyness of the place, I thought the crust was baked right, chewy but with a toasty crisp edge. read more

We were so pleasantly surprised with how tasty the pizza was! We were vacationing in SGI and after a long day on the beach we didn't feel like going out to dinner. They don't deliver so we had to make a quick run for pick-up. We were expecting average pizza but that wasn't the case! It was absolutely delicious! read more

They have been here on St. George Island for a long time offering an alternative to seafood. We came for pizza. A simple large pepperoni pizza that had a generous amount of cheese and a good coverage of pepperoni for 3 of us. Their crust was good if a little chewy with a nice browning on the bottom that added to the taste. The sauce is hardly noticeable in eating the pizza but the thick layer of cheese was quite welcome. You order at the counter, they give you a number card to put on your table and your food is delivered to you. Drinks are diy from nearby soda and tea dispensers. They also have bottle and draft beer choices. There are a few tables inside and a couple of tables outside. They seem to do a lot of takeout as well. read more
