You typical McDonalds in Northern Jersey. If you plan on getting breakfast, meaning between the hours of 5-7am, add an extra 30 mins to your commute time. I have no idea how many employees are on staff but it always takes at least 10 mins to get a simple breakfast sandwich. And that's with less than 3 cars on line. I love McDonalds. But man why is this particular one so much pricier than any other one. I actually drive up to Ramsey to not have to pay so much. The quarter pounder with cheese meal was like $13. I pay less at Houlihans. The thing is they have a great location. Right after all the stores and before you make your Uturn to go back home from a great day of shopping you see the Golden Arches and turn in for the fries. Then for a family of four you are 60 bucks in and all you got is soggy fries and a pickle in your PLAIN burger. So, not only do you get a small order of fries, which they call a large, they overcharge you to boot!! After getting my refund, I just walked out with my Coke. And the Coke had a very funny aftertaste, as if it was a cheaper clone from the supermarket!! It probably was!! When getting into my car, I looked at the receipt and although the cashier told me the fries were $4.91, that was the subtotal for the fries and Coke together, not the fries by themselves. The girl obviously wasn't too bright. The fries were $3.91 + .26 tax for a total of $4.17. Still, way too much for a large MacDonald's fries which was no bigger than a medium. I ended up going just a very short distance North on Rt. 17 to the MacDonald's at 846 Rt.17 N to get a "real" large order of fries and it was a normal standardized large size in a red cardboard container for a reasonable price of just $2.87. I am extremely disappointed with the treatment I received. I ordered French fries through the drive through and as I pulled up to the window my daughter heard the window attendant call me a "stupid white bitch" in Spanish. I had already left the parking lot when my daughter told me what was said. I called the restaurant to complain and was told "there's no manager here, then being told that they were the manager."????? After eating a double cheeseburger and french fries, I proceeded to have the worst headache of my entire life for about 3 hours. I stayed around people and kept my phone next to me because I honestly thought I was about to throw up or pass out. I, by no means, blow things out of proportion. It was a serious problem. The people who work here never say 'Thank you.' whether you're inside or at the drive thru. Don't even try asking for a cup of water at the drive thru. You normally think fast food is quick in and quick out. Your expectations are of course lowered knowing it is what it is. However this location really needs to go back to training. We ordered a meal so young lady took payment, gave us our change and didn't give us a cup for our drink. We also order nuggets and she didn't bother to ask us what sauce we would like. When our food was ready, she called out our order number of 413 looking at us but our order number was 443. Kept looking at us like we didn't understand English. I have had bad luck in my past ordering food in general, getting other people's hair in it so I paranoidly checked my first sandwich before I bit into it and THERE WAS A DEAD BLACK BUG IN THE SANDWICH! drive thru not open on a sunday when it says 24 hours people were so rude and unprofessional

Get it together...almost 80% of the time when I go through the drive thru, they forget something or messed up the order. I literally have to sit there now and go through the bag to make sure everything is there. Today, I had to tell them I was missing 20 piece nuggets. Then when I get home to realize they put the 4 piece nuggets in both kids meal instead of 6. It's the fact that I had to pay for something I didn't get. read more

UTTERLY DISASTROUS EXPERIENCE! What Happened: I arrived at McDonald's around 7:30 on 12/26 and placed my order. I waited around 10 minutes and simply asked that the person assembling the happy meals could give me a different toy for each happy meal I ordered. After taking my receipt to see which order was mine, everything went downhill. The order distributor went back to talk to her manager who came to me and showed me the receipt indicating that I had placed the order at 7:04pm. She asked if I had been waiting 40 minutes for my food and I said no and that I had only been here for 10 minutes or so. She then refused to give me my order stating that it had already been given. I'm not a dumb person and I know what this scenario looks like. Someone's trying to get food twice and rip the establishment off. So, I plead with the manager. Just review your security tapes. I know what this looks like so just watch the tapes and you'll see that I arrived around 7:30, paid for my meal and waited without receiving anything. Regardless of what the receipt says. She was unmovable. Wouldn't even address the idea and simply reiterated what the receipt had printed as a time stamp. She was being stubborn. So much so that even the employee who had taken my order, vouching for me, could not sway her from her opinion. End result? I had to order my food AGAIN and bring it home to a nursing mom who just gave birth 8 days ago and was starving. A 3yr old who was so tired and hadn't had dinner yet. When I went to the pickup window they informed me order wasn't paid for so I handed her my Discover card. She informed me they don't accept Discover. This McDonald's is very well run. There is always enough counter staff. The prep area is also well staffed. A perfect example of fast food. I've never had to wait more that 2 minutes for regular menu items. Asking for something made with no salt takes a couple of minutes longer. This mcdonalds used to be the best. Their nuggets were so fresh. The batter was light and crispy. The burgers were fresh and tasty. Now the food is terrible. The nuggets are dry and overdone the batter is just yucky must be done in oil that hasn't bee changed for days and nothing tastes like it used to. When you get a double quarter pounder one burger is done through and the other is towards the rare side. On top of all this they charge top dollar. Most expensive in the area. This is my go to Mc Donald's location and I love coming here because it's open 24 hours and close to my house. They are always busy but the line moves quickly. I have never encountered a rude person here like some of the other reviews are stating.
