Restaurant has flies. Not as many as the Culpeper McDonald's but a bunch. And manager was berating an employee's mother about how awful an employee her son was and trying to force her to admit her son wasn't sick so he would write him up. That manager is a total jerk. We stopped here on our trip to Northern Virginia. I ordered at 10:26. Food wasn't ready until 10:50. Then they have no honey. The sausage egg biscuit I ordered turned out to be a bacon egg bagel. There were at least 8 employees that I could see. This place is completely incompetent and the manager was walking around aimlessly and not helping anyone. Horrible experience. I don't eat at McDonald's. 2 years ago I was on a milkshake fix but it made my cholesterol rise so I shut that down quick. It is what it is. Know your body! This particular morning I was on my way to Farmville to check-out some Va State parks and by the time I got to Orange, I was already starving. So I slid in the drive thru and with not one second of waiting this lady with her country accent asked what she could get for me. 1 egg biscuit and a small coffee with sugar. I drove around, paid swiftly with a smiling lady at window 1 and grabbed my bag from smiley lady in window 2. I'm back on the road. My egg biscuit was hot. And no one put cheese on it. By far the slowest McDonalds I have been to. I have lived in orange for 3 years now and there has been no improvement in management, staff etc. there will be times in the drive through where people will just be forced to sit and wait for any worker to answer. It's also probably about an 85% chance you'll be parked in a curbside pick up to get your food adding even more to the wait time. I've been coming to this place several times a week during the shamrock season to try and get one, and every time they say they don't have ice cream. These are scammers. Horrible McDonalds, every single time. When we take the backroads home from Charlottesville, it is such a convenient place to stop to eat. But the quality of the food is very hit and miss, the employees are the most obnoxious, rude teenagers I've seen in any McDonalds, multiple items are always left out - and then the obnoxious employees act like it's our fault - and the service is very, very slow. Where do I begin. First of all, the staff are some of the most ignorant people I've ever seen in my life. I've never met a competent person working when I've visited. Luckily I live two hours away now, but all of my family still lives in the area so I have to suffer if I want McDonald's when I visit them. Second, my food is almost never correct. There is always something missing. A meal without the fries, a burger missing toppings, forgotten food in general. The staff is always irritated when you ask for missing items, as if it's YOUR fault. Third, the restaurant itself. It's always disgusting. The floors are constantly sticky, the bathrooms make me want to vomit, the tables are always dirty, the drink machine is always messy with trash. Honestly, I would rather drive to Fredericksburg than down the street to this McDonalds. And that's ridiculous. We asked for a remake and the cashier/manager obliged. All good.. right? Nope. He either served me the same drink or they have a serious bay problem as the second drink also had nats floating. I'll never go to ANY McDonald's again after my experience at this location. The window girl and I fumbled my credit card and dropped it... right into the Ronald McDonald Charity box. The girl scoffs at me and refuses to apologize, lament or do anything about it. The District Manager was in tonight and she also said she couldn't do anything about it. "Its a plastic box screwed to the exterior of your building, surely you know someone that can help?" About that time a cop starts tapping on my passenger window asking me to pull off into a parking space. Great, some help, I thought! But they weren't there to help me. They were only there to facilitate the flow of traffic through the McDonalds drive thru. "You realize the only reason anyone's talking to me now is because I'm in the drive thru lane?" But I pull off into a space. And wait as instructed for information. Cops are lingering around, like they do. I guess I look dangerous. Or maybe they're worried about that other $6.23 in the charity box. Realizing no one else gives af about my credit card and the bills I need to pay (first of the month), I call the charity house myself. I get through once and get laughed at because apparently this happens a lot. If I were cynical I would think it was by-design to happen a lot. She told me to have the mgr call me and they would figure it out. I did that. 30 minutes later no one gets back to me so I call the charity back. They hang up on me. I call again and leave a message. I call again and the lady takes my info and says they'll get back to me in the next week or so. Yeah, I can buy a Sputnik 2020 and have it delivered to me tomorrow, but it's too much to expect someone to have access to a plastic box, containing my own credit card, that is 2 feet away from me. I accept my fate, and drive away. Or at least I try to. The cop that has meanwhile been jabbering with the MCDONALDS mgr. Flags me back and asks for my ID so he can issue me a warrant for trespassing and threatening property damage. "First of all, I didn't threaten any thing or anybody. Second, I only pulled over here and waited because I was instructed to. Third McDonald's said the box was not their property, but that of the charity. And you were here for most of this, did you see and hear something different than what actually happened?" Cop told me he was gonna put me on a "watch list". I guess people break into these plastic charity boxes on the outside of McDonald's all the time and I must fit the profile. So my 11 year old son, who's been in the back seat the whole time is aghast with disbelief at what transpired and the distortion of words, reality, and perception. Yeah sad. Soooo...today stopped by the McDonald's in Orange County Va and bought my daughter a cheeseburger kids meal, and got myself a ice cream sundae, tea, and small fry. We get to the hair shop and my daughter says, "mommy I got a bug in my food". I said no u don't boo it's probably a burnt piece of meat or something. But as a mother u always gotta make sure so I said let me see. ......wheww child I couldn't believe a dam dead fly in her cheeseburger. So of course Everything went in the trash that I brought, I called and made a complaint to the manager and got a refund. She had a nerve to say do u want ur money or some more food I swear I almost slapped her and said hell no just my money please as a billion flies were flying around in the restaurant. While I know this can happen anyway at anytime I think God for my daughter being her picky self and looking through her food. Mcdonalds in Orange VA. The place is a complete train wreck. Starting with the manager on duty. Yelling at staff and threatening to send everyone home. Tried to order a classic chicken sandwich in drive thru. The lady on the intercom keep asking if I wanted nuggets. I finally told her to disregard and went inside. Tried once again to order a classic chicken sandwich and a frappe. The guy at the counter asked i was ordering nuggets. I had to point out the item I wanted on a picture reference on the counter. He then took 2 minutes trying to find the correct button to push on the computer. Sandwich finally came. Waited another ten minutes for my frappe. Still hadn't been made. I then asked the manager for a refund due to my food now being cold. She then had to call her boss on the phone to get permission to refund my money. Guess they wont be seeing me anymore. First, our ENTIRE order was wrong. Not only did they not fix it, but they didn't attempt to figure out what was wrong. After that, there was no soap in the restrooms and no ketchup in the ketchup dispenser. If looking for a place to eat do not go here and if you do make sure the employees at least look like they know what they're doing.
