Stopped by this 'wonderful' location for the 9th time in two weeks to get my very sick grandmother a fish sandwich. Nine times in a row when she opened the box this is that the fish sandwich looked like. Nobody there cares. Nobody there cares if we care. Nobody thinks about what the customer sees when they spend $5.29 per sandwich. Nobody at the North Bend McDonalds cares. Nobody at McDonalds corporate cares. This is what we deal with at these fast food places. The fact that nobody cares.

No heat " it's broken. Pursuant to app meal should have been delivered to table. Per manager we have no staff. They should have turned off that option

This place was conveniently located near a gas station I recently patronized. I used the phone app and was given a code used for the drive-through. Once there, the process was super quick and accurate. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. Parking was convenient to eat my meal in the parking lot.

McDonalds parking lot full, I'm at Burger King now

This location is terrible. You will either wait for 30 minutes in line or get stale food. It's better to go hungry.

Terrible service. No care for customers. Who cares if it is an hour long and everyone waits. McDonald's doesn't care.

There has been a change in ownership/management, and the food is better. It was always good, but…read moreit's gone up a notch. I get takeout about once a month from here as part of our weekly rotation of "I don't feel like cooking tonight." Typically we get a hamburger and a cheeseburger, fries and onion rings. We split the very large portion of fries and the onion rings as well. Last night the guest in front of me ordered the jalapeño burger and I thought "Jalapeño? I didn't know they had that!" It's listed on the menu, but when you go to a place for a long time (for us, since the early 1990s), you kinda stop looking at the menu. So I tried the jalapeño burger, and I very pleased that they didn't just throw raw slices on the burger but instead grilled them a bit. It packed some heat, but without that raw grassy taste that you get from an uncooked pepper. The fries are usually quite quite good, and the onions rings can be a bit too well-done, so we ask for them "not too crispy!" and they're much easier to eat. You can get sauces such as ranch dressing for the onion rings at an extra cost. Other condiments like mustard, mayo, and ketchup are either on the burger itself or come as a free add-on. They have bison chili, and I've always wanted to try it, so I'll get that next time. The place is like one of the old-time burger shacks that you found on the side of the US highway system back in the 1940s, 50s, and 60s, which makes sense, because the main drag through North Bend used to be US 10 (which is replaced by I-90 3 miles to the south). It has a bare bones inside seating area, a front patio that is great in the summer but yikes it's cold in the winter, and their public bathrooms are available only from the outside. Prices tend to be midrange to a bit higher than a chain fast food place, but the food is better IMO and you're supporting a local business.

A lot of the plate dishes that you order will probably be boxed up from the buffet. There are also quite a few burgers on the menu. I have not tried the burgers, but I tried a few items from the buffet, and the taste of everything was very good. There was a lack of vegetarian options, though there were several chicken dishes, but only shahi paneer and matar paneer for the vegetarians. They said that some days they also make dal. There was also some veg soup choices in the buffet. The chicken tikka masala tasted like the chicken tikka had been made in the tandoor and it tasted good. The chicken malai tikka was also pretty decent, even though heavy on the cream. I liked the basmati zeera rice and the raita. The shahi paneer was good but the matar paneer was too red and weird although the taste wasn't bad. The salad vegetables seemed like they had been sitting out all day and were all wilted. I would not eat the raw vegetables. The gulab jamun in buffet was ok but a little dense. The chai was tasty but totally cold. I was there at 5:30 PM so it was off peak time so that may be the reason. I ordered a samosa chaat. The samosas were good and hot, but chutneys left a lot to be desired. The green chutney tasted more like pesto, and the tamarind chutney tasted completely off. The yogurt was decent. The chole (chickpea curry) that came on the samosa chart was quite spicy and more like a curry rather than a chaat item. I would avoid the chat items at this place until they improve the taste of their chutneys. There are only two guys in the restaurant they are doing everything from cooking to cleaning to being the servers and cashiers. They are very friendly, but very busy, so you may not get attention if you need water or something else to be served to.you. The owner Jassy needs to hire more people if he wants this restaurant to provide proper service! It is a pretty big space so it has a lot of potential, if they can improve on the service and the atmosphere. Overall, I am giving it four stars, because a place like this was needed in North Bend, and the taste of their buffet was pretty good. However, they need to improve some aspects for this place to flourish.

For apps we got deer ears and onion rings. Both were good but onion rings won out - would have liked them a little earlier since our entrees came out pretty much the same time but it was a reasonable wait for food all together. Everyone enjoyed the food- Fish tacos were tasty but the burgers we had rated slightly higher- the bacon Swiss mushroom, and the pour house. We had spent the day flying from Denver to Seattle, driving home we stopped here for some not too shabby bar food (def the local dive bar vibe, in a good way). Not busy but didn't really expect it to be. A few guys playing pool and baseball on the TVs. Their outdoor area in the back is huge. Some covered area, some not. There is a giant RV wrapped in Seahawk livery, pretty cool. Hubs had the Old Stove IPA and I had my customary Mothers Day Bloody Mary, both were yummy. My Bacon Swiss Mushroom Burger was amazing paired with super fresh tasting giant onion rings. Our son-in-law had the Philly Cheesesteak upgraded with prime rib, he loved it but it could have had more meat, and then they mistakenly charged us double for his order. The homemade chili had a little spicy kick to it. We also all enjoyed the Spicy Mac N Cheese Bites. We will keep this place on the radar for future drives home.

Today was my first time coming to Herfys in years because a friend swore to me that they've gotten…read morebetter, so I checked it out. First off, it was pretty darn good overall. Leaps and bounds better than it used to be. The whole time I was there I was comparing every item to Scott's Dairy Freeze, who is clearly Herfys biggest competition. So how did they fair? First, Scott's always has a line on hot days, sometimes a very long one and you'll be waiting for 15-20 minutes to order. There was no line and we ordered right away. They had a wide selection of burgers and I got the bacon sourdough burger with fries and onion rings and a Blackberry milkshake. The burger was great, especially for the price. It was too saucy, but otherwise no complaints. All told, it was MUCH better than the burgers I get from Scott which taste ok but also feel like a heart attack going down. Herfys burger for the win! However, Herfy's fries were mediocre. They were McDonald's style, which I'm not a fan of. Scott's has battered fries that are fantastic. Scott's fries blow Herfy's out of the water. Onion rings though go back to Herfy's. They are panko breaded and crunchy. Not much seasoning, but solid. I would have loved a little seasoning on it, but even so, these were far better than what Scott's has to offer. Finally, the milkshake. This is what Scott's is famous for, but I gotta say, I enjoyed my blackberry milkshake from Herfy's just as much as the milkshakes I order from Scott's. Im surprised by this, but I think it's a tie. Herfys may even squeak by with a win because Scotts does a terrible job of mixing in their flavors or malt (it's always a clump at the bottom for me). I will absolutely go here again. Hopefully they read this review and change their fries though. If Herfy's can match Scott's fries in quality, and can keep their buns from getting soggy, then Herfy's would hands down be the superior choice to Scott's.
