Every time I come here I hope it gets better but it doesn't. Staff is rude and could careless but that's high school employees for you. I remember one instance I was approaching the first window to pay for my food and the employee yells out are you "f*Viking kidding me" and I'm all for swearing but preferably not in the work place environment. There has been times my food has been cold, times where they didn't know what was happening so I didn't pay, and times I've been stuck in the dang line for 30 mins waiting on my order. We stopped at approx 10am on a Friday am. Went inside. All dining room and bathrooms were still closed due to COVID when all else is open in Az. Ordered a simple order of breakfast sandwiches and a coffee. We waited over 15 minutes and no food. Workers kept going outside to deliver pick up orders and even brought an order back in went behind the wall and brought it back out. We requested a refund and was grudgingly given one. Haven't been to McDonald's in a long long time. Won't be going again! read more

Can you go any lower than 1 start? Because I'd like to. We stopped for breakfast on the way back to Phoenix. Got a small milkshake it was so horrible tasting I couldn't get last 2 sips. For a McyD's I'm a fan but just for the ambiance. This is a bloody nice McDonald's - Wood-like accents, fireplace, lovely tables. We stopped on our way out to the lake for a quick breakfast. The food was...well...McDonald's but it was a lovely place to buy this food. I had the yogurt & fruit and shocked how small it was! But when I ate it I couldn't finish it so it was fine. This has got to be one of the slowest McDonald's locations in the country. Doesn't matter what you're ordering or the time of day you go. So today we tried ordering from the app in advance and pulled up to the designated spot to wait. And wait. And wait some more before finally going through the drive through anyway...there were only 2 cars in front of us and we still waited, no apology or reason given when we got to the window. Previously they have messed up my orders as well. I realize this is a McDonald's I'm reviewing but come on, guys... try to get the technology down and pick up the pace a bit! We paid and got to the 2nd window to get the food and the kid takes my card and hands me my drink and say please pull around front and we will bring your food out. Every time I come here they mess up my order. I ordered a 2 cheeseburger meal off of Postmates because they had no hamburger options and asked for no cheese since I'm badly allergic. To the GM of this store or whoever is in charge of staffing: Shame on you. This is the 3rd time since Christmas I have been to this location and the service has been so backed up they were doing massive refunds and people waiting like crazy; but this last time takes the cake. I pull into the drive thu and the line is normal. So I think "not bad." Between ordering and paying, about 5 mins. Pretty standard. I get to the food window, the lady hands me my drink and says "pull around and park in the parking lot and we'll bring it to you." So I ask "how will know which order is mine and find me?" "Oh we will," she says. So I confusingly pull out and see the parking lot with at least 20 cars parked with lights on spilling into the Goodwill parking lot waiting. I immediately thought, "oh sh**." I looked at my receipt and the time stamp said 6:08pm. Which means I got there between 6 and 6:05pm. I proceeded to watch employees walking from car to car with the orders asking if we were the ones who ordered whatever they had in their bags until they found the right car. It was insane. I ended up getting my food at 7:05pm. ONE HOUR LATER. My kids in the car super hungry and trying to be patient. Here's the worst part: we were essentially trapped. They manipulated the drive thru line to look shorter than it was and then PAID for my food, only to be stuck in the parking lot determining if I should forfeit $15, still have hungry kids and leave. Super sleezy and unprofessional. Put me in a terrible spot. On top of that, we were an hour late to a group class we were heading to. The shift manager was doing the best she could to reduce the bleeding but she was not set up for success.
