MCDONALDS ELY, NEVADA I ordered a double hamburger with extra ketchup. The FIRST burger had nothing on it except a thin layer of ketchup. No mustard, pickle, onions. They were so confused when I (very nicely) let them know. They asked to see the receipt and the burger in the bag. Took it back and looked at it with the manager. She was annoyed. They obviously were peeved that I even asked, because the result was this slop. 1/2 cup of ketchup poured over it. The fries were cold, and the drink counter was not sanitary. Because it is a stop on a hwy in the middle of nowhere, they don't care. It is an embarrassment to McDonald's as a whole. read more

Every time I've gone here, the people have been so nice. Usually McDonald's employees just hand me my food and I drive off. Both employees at both windows said something out of the normal which made the experience a little happier :) read more

It seems silly to review a McDonald's, but honestly, I feel like the kids working hard deserve recognition because they did a fantastic job. It was busy, but they were all working to the best of their abilities. I didn't have very high hopes for my little burger and fries, but when I did get them, they were probably the best McDonald's I've had in a long time. The food was nice and hot. The fries weren't overly salty and had the fantastic light crunch that I love. My hamburger was hot, and the cheese melted perfectly. Got home and my quarter pounder had no cheese, I contacted store sent my son back to get cheese they gave me cheese and refund as requested then I get my burger waited so long was far through my it because was starving at this point then tasted weird I turn light on and look and it is raw. Disgustingly raw that I tasted raw meat. It was not cooked correctly and definitely not safe to eat. Very upset about entire experience and the money I wasted. Fast, easy and yummy! When I want to treat myself or if I'm craving something salty I always want to come to McDonald's for their fries! I usually get the 10 piece nuggets with honey mustard or ranch and some fries and a sweet tea. If I'm feeling desert I will order a vanilla ice cream cone and it's bomb! I used to always get the Oreo McFlurry but I could never finish it especially since they took away their snack size portion. This location has completely gone downhill. Don't even bother ordering in the drive through or via the app in the drive through for pickup. You'll go through and confirm your order and pay to get to the second window to have them slap a receipt to your side view mirror and told to go park in the parking lot and wait anywhere from 10-25 minutes waiting for your food. So much for "fast food" huh? It's not even fast food anymore. This happens even when they are not all that busy and there is hardly any vehicles there. The last time I was there I asked an employee when they brought my food out whats going on. They told me this is allegedly because corporate has put unrealistic goals in place for how long vehicles sit in the drive through (as they clock each vehicle at their windows). So basically it's a way for them to fudge the numbers. I suspect it's not corporate (cause McDonald's corporate can't be that stupid but who knows) but rather an overzealous store and/or regional manager who only cares about numbers instead of customer satisfaction. It seems like they can never get their staffing issue down and one drive-thru lane is bound to be closed off 60% of the time.
