My husband got a Hot Chai Latte and it was truly the perfect mix of sweet and spiced chai. Lastly, the value in their pricing for quality of drink is very impressive! HeLLo . We've been going to this DD since they opened-up in Marengo off and on. We want to like…read moreit, we really do. In the morning it tends to be better quality, sometimes. In the afternoon it is run by teenage boys who really don't pay attention or don't care. Too many times we've received Regular Coffee when we ordered DECAFFEINATED! This will ruin your night. Some seniors on heart medication can only drink DECAF coffee. They now go to McDonalds because they couldn't trust this DD that keeps giving them Regular coffee. The girl Lilly said to one of them, "what's the difference" when she was confronted a few months ago. We started going inside to watch them make the drinks and they still use Regular when we order DECAFFEINATED! This DD uses a "TAP" system, so it's easy to see which "TAP" they pull. The "TAP" means the coffee is NOT fresh. We often see the "TAPs" leaking with a cup under them to catch the leaking coffee. After 20 minutes or so when the cup is full, they pour it back into the reservoir of coffee, even though it's been sitting out for the flies and other debris to accumulate. They pour it right back into the other coffee. Disgusting. They really don't care. Regarding the doughnuts , they sit-out for days, not covered. The flies and bugs at night appreciate that and don't mind, but we do! You often don't get what you order. Again, the morning girls seem better, usually. In the afternoon, the espresso drinks are make with regular coffee because it's cheaper we were told. That's why they taste watery. I've talked to the GM of this DD, Eddy Camarro, and there was NO meaningful follow-up and no change in how they do things. We gave them plenty of constructive feedback and time to fix the issues, to no avail. Three complaints, no change or follow-up. Just the other day we ordered DECAFFEINATED coffee, all of us, from the drive-through. We had a friend inside watching and saw all the drinks pulled from the Regular "TAP". The sticker on the cup said it was "DECAFFEINATED". When confronted, the boy without a name tag re-made the drinks and apologized. He just wasn't paying attention. Nobody at that DD is. The drinks are WAY TOO expensive for such poor quality. I'm not a fan of McDonalds, but their coffee is fresh, and I know what I'm getting. Visit this DD at your own risk . It's independently owned, so DD corporate doesn't really care. Enjoy!
