When I ordered on 3/7 around 11pm, still an hour until closed, I got my food with multiple ripped up receipts in the bag, when I called to ask why or get an understanding, or maybe cleaner food. The lady said "we're trying to close so I can't help you right now" I'm not sure what customer service they are trained on, but where I work that is not okay. I then asked for the supervisors name and hers to which I got hung up on, I tried calling back but was hung up again immediately once I peeped a word. All until they turned the phone line off so I couldn't call them anymore, which they still had at least half an hour of running time. I'm not sure if this is how McDonalds works but you shouldn't rush and rush things more and more the closer you are to closing, once you are closed, you shut off to the public, that's what the term closed is, "closed to the public" and then you spend your time cleaning up and getting the site ready for whoever opens. I've only been here probably twice. I last went on 12/31/2021, and ordered an ice cream in the drive thru. I pulled around and ate it, then I went to use their bathroom. Then I remembered why I hate this place, they denied me to use the bathroom before, it was closed or something weird like that. Then at 5:25 PM, I was begrudgingly allowed to use it because "we are drive thru only now." The bathroom was FOUL! No TP, also, NO SOAP and the floors were filthy. I am very certain that the burger they gave me had been sitting under the warmer for hours because the bun on the outside was stale, as if it been sitting under a heat lamp or warmer for a significant of time. Their "Playground" that they have inside is filthy with sweaty footprints and it looks like it's never been cleaned since so many children go on it everyday it should be cleaned everyday. I've been bringing my children to this McDonald's solely on the purpose to use the Place Gym. The Santee location doesn't have a gym so we take the time to drive to this one. I like the security of the gym and the fact that it's inside with air conditioning. The staff is super friendly. They keep up on any mess. The fries are always FRESH, and HOT!! So - I decide to stop at McDonald's because why not. I really wanted an apple pie - they tell me it's gonna be 10 minutes....sigh. Fine. Which means you could have made 3 batches in the time y'all said the first one would be ready She's like "oh yeah it takes at least 15 minutes to make them" to which I again reply that it's been 30 - which is more that 15. So then she goes to the back and gets my pie. I let her go unscathed because she had nothing to do with - she wasn't the one who placed or made my order. BUT because of that fact, you should either go get my pie or point me to someone who can. I don't need an explanation of how to make a pie....I can literally bake my own - I'm well aware of the process. David at the window, young guy with brown hair, deserves some recognition for his customer service. I came to the drive through on my lunch break a few weeks ago and the system crashed. I was at the window for about 10 mins waiting to pay as they tried to figure it out, without avail. David was really apologetic and friendly during the problem, which must have been a stressful situation for him since there were cars stuck behind me who didnt have a clue what was going on. They didn't charge me for my meal and I left feeling fine about the situation. Fast forward to today, a few weeks later, and David is at the window again. He remembered me from when I was there last time and we had the big problem. He made a joke about the system crashing again and was very friendly like we were old friends.
