One had a random white shirt with no reference to restaurant. That individual walked up and said "we are only taking mobile orders" I said "when did that start?" She said "we are short staffed". I've been craving Mickey D's and IDK why but here we were. The guy taking the orders, bagging the fries and making the Mc Cafe drinks was kind. But, there's nothing I hate more about fast food than the person whose manning the register and unknowingly touching your fries as well. Ugh! Anyways, we ordered. The food was fresh but not the absolute freshest.. But during these long drives it'll do. Mcdoubles add mac sauce, large fry and 2-piece buttermilk chicken strips. It did the job! This location is joined to a Love's Travel gas station. It has a small inside area, but is mostly used for the drive-through on the right side of the building. The parking lot if also small, due to it being joined to the Love's. It could definitely use a facelift, and the inside, and outside, could use some cleaning / cleanup as well. read more

Good service considering the large crowd Our large (40+ people) group recently needed a place to eat on our way through Atlanta and we found this McDonald's. After we ate, I read several less than favorable reviews from several months ago. I must say, however, that our experience was much better than those earlier reviews. This crew had it going on - they were working quite well together. They had 2 or 3 taking orders, and they were able to get the large number of orders out in a reasonable amount of time with few problems. Our food came out hot and accurate. I guess being inside a Loves Truckstop meant that getting tour buses occasionally meant they knew how to deal with crowds. Good job folks! If you are in the area and simply "gotta have your Big Mac or Quarter Pounder", check these folks out. read more

I just made an order today and was told to pull around the front again and my order was wrong again. Between midnight to one o'clock in the morning, me and my two siblings decided to take a visit to the McDonald's for a bite to eat after being up and working around the yard. Originally we would just drive there without calling, however we wanted to be sure they were open. When I call the establishment, the red headed (female) worker answers the phone saying, and I quote. "Truck stop. Mcdonalds." In a very unease voice. Though I assumed she may be tired I thought nothing of it. When I asked if they are currently open she responds with. "Yeah. Can you not tell?" In a disrespecting manner. Thinking nothing of the remark, me and my 2 individuals decide to drive there anyways seeing we were still hungry. Once arriving to the establishment, she sighs in annoyance and say very quickly- without hesitation- "we won't take cash. Only card. Only debate card at that." As of she did not want to take our order. Annoyed with her disrespecting comments, I held up my card and looked at her like I did not give a care in the world. Once she saw my card, she rolled her eyes and proceeded to take our order. While we are speaking, she looks at us the whole time and allows up to speak. Once we finish speaking she says and I quote. "Alright. Well you can't have any of that because we only have (names off 4-5 items)." When I asked if they had coffee she looked at me for a solid moment then responded with. "Nope. It's not getting made until later." Once we placed our order, she started slamming things one the table and not taking caution in what she is doing. Every now and then she would walk outsode to go smoke, when she would walk back inside the did not wash her hands and constantly had a cough- which she proceeded to allow infect her hand-held still refusing to wash her hands. While we waited 15 minutes for our food, the other woman in the back decided to cuss and yell. "Don't be taking any of those orders! We don't want to take your order! Not taking orders!" The woman in the back would constantly yell every time someone new walked in to ask a question. When we finally got our order, the first woman in the front slammed our bag on the counter once again. When I picked up the bags, I gold the woman to have a good night and she looked st me with a large amount of hate and disgusted taste. When we arrived home, I opened the bags to get our food. Once I did, half of the food was open, RED HAIR was under the bun of our chicken sandwiches. Did not give us the complete order and no sauce either This establishment should be ashamed in themselves seeing they claim to be a open 24 hour food business, but refuse to take orders of trucl drivers driving numerous miles who want something to eat? This is a disadvantage and disgusting thing someone could allow happen. We have men and woman out here driving trucks to provide for these workers, however they disrespect them and degrade them by not allowing them to have a quick meal to eat. Today I walked into this establishment with my family who were excited to go get food with me because we love so far apart. While ordering everything seemed normal and the workers were nice. However after we got up and grabbed our food, a lady told us to wait because she had more coming. We waited and after about thirty minutes nothing happened. Finally my grandfather got up to see what was going on and the worker said that the food was ready and we just missed it. Unbelievable. read more

Ordered a strawberry pie & soft-serve strawberry cup to go. The ice cream machine was broken, so ordered a hot chocolate instead. Server told me no hot chocolate because ice cream machine was broken. The guy fixing the machine turned around & showed the cashier how to ring up a hot chocolate. Got the pie & hot chocolate finally, and looked at pie box. No label indication of the flavor, it just said "pie." The last time I ordered strawberry pie from a McD's drive thru, they gave me apple. I asked how to tell it was strawberry without opening box. The manager walked over and was quite rude. Basically, I should take my order and leave. Had I not paid, I would have walked out. We stopped by on our way back into town as we were needing some late night caffeine pick me up and there wasn't much anything else in sight. The McDonalds shares the same building as the gas station, but has its own ample dining area. There was some confusion at the register because the employee called us up next but there was a lady standing right.in.front.of.her that she had completely ignored. Which is pretty hard considering the female customer was loudly saying, Oh you just going to skip me? Awkward! After we placed our order, a manager came from the side office and asked if everyone had been helped. The customer again said, no, I haven't been helped and to my shock, the manager shrugged and said, oh, she'll be right with you; motioning to the same cashier who had been ignoring her the entire time. By the time, our order was done and we hurried back out to escape the melee that was brewing. When we got back on the road, we were disappointed to find limp, soggy fries and rock hard, cold nuggets. Manger is the only reason anyone got food and even then it was poorly and inconsistently prepared-sometimes not what we ordered. Firstly it took our group of 3 different orders 10-15 minutes to get our orders in not because of a line but because the woman at the register kept leaving. The drive through (manned by Brittany) apparently went well but we were in the lobby. Also when we tried to order milkshakes the woman said "do you know how to make that" and after a chorus of no from the back said-"no we can't do that". It took an absurdly long time to make two chicken snack wraps and one was not only the wrong type of chicken but also double wrapped in tortilla cause the first layer broke on them. Both wraps were crispy chicken instead of what was ordered (grilled) and slightly damp. The fries my girl and I got were took temperature while our Friend's were warm and my sisters were HOT. We also witnessed someone burn a batch of fries and then poor the fries into the bin of fresh fries ruining both batches and then scoping with the small fry scoop all the fries into the trash. I (a vegetarian who obviously has issues eating at McDonald's in the first place) was excited to order a egg and cheese biscuit and even checked to be sure that bacon hadn't slipped on there. In the dark car though my mouth discovered chicken fat in my egg and further investigation exposed a shredded chicken nugget in my sandwich. And FINALLY my sister who waited the longest by far for her order was awarded two cheeseburgers she didn't order along with her apple pies, snack wraps, and fries. Those cheeseburgers were eventually exposed as being a different customers order but not before two other patrons tried to claim them. Whether by accident or to compensate for poor service we were given four apple pies. Apple pies were inedible We went to another McDonald's 30 minutes later for milkshakes. read more
