By far one of the best McDonald's we've ever been to! Only recently discovered how amazing this one was! Everything always seems super hot and fresh! It never seems too much of a wait no matter how long the line may be! They always seem kind and friendly here too! I am so glad we now know how good this location is! We had a very poor experience at this McDonald's today. They were out of several things on their menu, they were very disorganized, they were very rude in the drive through, and I could not even complete my order and eventually had to leave without any food. read more

First time coming here. Needed a place to grab some food while heading back to the Chicago area. All in all, it serves cheaper food than most McDonald's with a travel stop. Food wasn't the best, especially when they had new staff members working. Lines were quite long and service wasn't the best. read more

I never got to the food so maybe I could say service, food & ambience! I had put my order in on the kiosk but when it wanted me to pay I chose credit card and it told me to get a "table topper" and get the "code" off of it. I had no idea what it was talking about and there's no type of buzzer on the kiosk to ask for help so I went up to the counter. Two staff people are talking, one in a sweatshirt leaning on the equipment, the other sweeping the floor. No recognition. So I slapped the counter & called out Hello. Still no recognition. I slapped the cookie rack container a couple times, no recognition. I called out and asked if they were Open. I finally walked away, went back to the kiosk and cleared my order & walked out. They don't deserve customers! There was a family of older adults trying to use the kiosk as I was walking out and they gave up and went to Subway. If I had had time, I would have gone to Subway too. read more

We went through the drive-thru. They have a double and it moved fast. I got my standard road trip fare - cheeseburger and small fries. The fries had to be the hottest fries I have ever gotten at a McDonald's. They almost burnt my hand to hold them. I love hot fries! read more

They are slow and subpar. They do not follow their 24 hour sign unless you want drive thru. Placed order at 8:10pm, doors were locked before we got our drinks. This location is at the Love's travel center, it is a 24-hour location and trucks are in and out all night. But obviously McDonald's doesn't want their business. read more

If there was a way of giving NEGATIVE stars, I happily would! Came in tonight (truck drivers) and ordered dinner. Well, because we ordered breakfast food, it took a bit longer, which was fine. Got our "order" and took the 5 minute walk back out to our truck. Only to find out that the cashier didn't bother ordering hash browns, nor the cheese I asked for on my biscuits. Well, the 4 piece chicken nuggets , nor any napkins (which you cannot get on your own) managed to make it into our bag. So, all the way back into the restaurant, had to ask for the nuggets, which I had already paid for, and pay for hash browns I ordered but didn't get or get charged for. Guy makes a 4 piece nugget, tries to hand me a greasy box and say here's your order. Um yeah, no. How about those hash browns I just paid for, can I have those, or do I need to make a THIRD trip? Dude copped a bit of an attitude. Came back and shoved a little bag at me. I don't need his attitude. Thanks to him, one trucker isn't having a hot meal today.(this was our food stop for the day). I definitely appreciate being treated like crap by a 15 yr old who has no idea what work is actually like. My suggestion, hiring a new cashier who pays attention to what a customer asks for, and some kids who can read what is on the screen. read more

I was just in and ordered a #3 and the lady informed me they didn't have the size patties for my burger so I said do cheeseburgers in place and she gave me four of them and two things of fries very kind and nice. I was so pleased after a long day of driving my semi truck to call and tel the manager and let her know how good they are doing! Especially now people need to have positive stuff but the manager or whoever I spoke to was the grumpiest person that had no sense of attitude humor or whatever she was needing to make her sound happy. I've gone here 4 times this week. 3 out of 4 times something in my order was messed up. The only reason the 4th tune nothing was messed up was because I was getting one of the other visits mess up replaced. I only go here because it's literally a few minutes away and is convenient. I placed an order via the drive through for two cheeseburgers without pickles, a large sweet tea, and a large Diet Dr. Pepper. I pulled to the window, paid by debit card, and was handed the beverages by the first female employee I encountered. I inserted the straw into my beverage -- the Diet Dr. Pepper -- and noticed that the color was unusual. I took a small sip, and found the mix to be off significantly (very little syrup in relation to carbonated water.) I was handed my sandwiches by a second female employee, at which point I informed that employee that there was a problem with my beverage, and I requested a replacement beverage. The employee stared blankly at me for a few seconds before replying, "But then I'd have to have him [points to a male employee] go to the back and check on it." No offer was made to replace the product, nor to refund the price, sand at no time was an apology offered or even the slightest interest shown by this employee. I received no resolution, and departed the drive through lane and the premises. A large beverage costs $1. I'm not upset about the dollar. What has me dissatisfied is the outright refusal to provide the service and product for which I had paid. McDonald's, as a brand, has a reputation for being bad - bad service, unhealthy product, disaffected crews - and incidents like this reinforce that reputation. read more

I've been burned by this place for the last time. Poorly trained staff can't ever get an order right.

There were multiple mess ups in our order. I specifically told them a boy happy meal and we got a girl one. Our fries were cold and wasn't even filled up we might as well got a small frie. It's very aggravating, when you get food you should expect it to be what you paid for. Won't be going there again this is our 3rd time that McDonald's has gave us a mess up orders. Hopefully a manger see this and changes. read more

Young girl working drive through on most afternoons essentially refuses to speak. Looks at you with a lovely "I hate my job" glare. Foods always good but her opposite of chipper attitude leaves much to be desired. Easily most unwelcoming McDonald's I've been to. Stop here 3 times a week and always disappointing when she is there. UPDATE: one month later she is back and somehow is able to seem like she hates her job even more. I couldn't think you could be so unhappy. We pulled up to window. She gave us her usual dirty look. Don't bother ordering the sausage burritos they are super small and a ripoff as far as I am concerned

I am a frequent customer of this McDonald's, and have found the food and the service okay. However, a few weeks ago I did have an unsatisfactory customer experience pertaining to the restaurant's atmosphere which I considered hostile and unwelcoming. After contacting McDonald's corporation with my concerns, I did hear from the restaurant. We had a good conversation and the representative assured me that a concrete change that I requested would be taken care of. I visited the restaurant again this week and the change had not been implemented. I feel that one's word is one's bond - and unfortunately that trust has been broken at the McDonald's at exit 30 on rt I 55 in Hamels, Ill. read more
