WE WILL BE BACK! Forgot to take photos of the burgers, fries, and onion rings but you get your moneys worth when you come here! Burgers were delicious, got both the Route 66 and the cowboy burger. Fries have the perfect amount of crunch and are seasoned. Got a small nutty buddy concrete and it was delicious. Service was immaculate. Guy taking our order was funny and helpful. He accommodated for a lady with a broken leg without even being asked. Don't miss this place! It's beautiful, fun, and will NOT disappoint!

Heading to Chicago with my oldest son for a weekend trip. As we were driving down the road he saw Route 66 Creamery sign along the road and decided to pull off and have lunch. I got the Route 66 smash burger and he got the Cowboy burger. We both got fries as well. The burgers were good for smash burgers and the veggies were fresh. The cowboy burger, my son enjoyed, but said it had to many fat onion rings on it. The onion rings were nice and crispy (he pulled most of them off so i ate them). The bbq sauce on it was just a basic bbq sauce. the fries were nice and hot and we got everything pretty quick. Before leaving you cant stop at a creamery and not get ice cream. They had 6 different scoop flavors to try, several soft serve flavors and then you could have them make you a concrete if you want. We chose superman ice cream in a cup. The ice cream was full of flavor and very creamy. We also sat outside under the covered area and enjoyed everything about our visit. Staff was friendly and we got our food quick.

Fresh Smash Burgers and hot fries. Essential Americano on Route 66

Perfect size Smash Burgers with Fresh Fries to your table in minutes. What a great place to stop on your road trip. Be sure to enjoy the journey.

One of the latest and best stops for ice cream is Route 66 Creamery! As the name says, it is located off of old Route 66, at the intersection of state highways 140 and 157. They have the basic concretes/sundaes like you would find at other places, but they also offer plenty of other things as well. Like different flavored cones, who would have thought? When I stopped there I decided to get something I've never had before at other places...so I went with the Cherry Pie Concrete, which is available for a limited time. They also had the Apple Pie as well. I'm sure they will have a great rotation of special flavors down the road. The outdoor seating area is well-shaded and they have all kinds of seating, from old-fashioned diner seats to porch swings. Route 66 Creamery is not just popular with locals from the small towns, but I think it will be a hit with Route 66 enthusiasts and travelers. You can't miss it if you're traveling southward. There are no big signs (yet) on the road that highlight the place, but I hope they do soon. Check this place out!

Instead, it was a very enjoyable breakfast. I ordered, The Livy which was, one egg, choice of protein, hash browns and toast. I choose bacon as my protein. Their menu proudly promotes that the bacon and sausage is from local farmers. Trust me when I tell you, the bacon was very delectable. It could have been crisper, but the flavor made up for the lack of crispiness. I choose not to take the toast with my breakfast entree, because I also ordered a half size of Biscuits and Gravy. The biscuit was not made it house, its shape was too perfect. However, the gravy with chunks of locally sourced sausage made it a true comfort dish. The gravy was a semi-thick milk gravy and it wasn't overly seasoned with salt and had the right amount of pepper. Trying to watch my sodium intake, I like it when chefs are light handed when shaking the salt into a recipe. The atmosphere is like stepping back into the 50's. You truly will feel as if you left the sock hop and stopped by the local soda shop for a bite. I'll give you a heads up, the outside is junky with a lot of weird stuff. Ignore the decor on the outside and head straight into the diner for a good home cooked meal. The service was impressive. One waitress was taking care of the entire small dining room. I over heard her tell another table, that she was relatively new. Being new, she did a great job. She was attentive and very personable. Her service alone would get me to come back.

I've been once and I already know I'll be back for more…read more My first visit was just for ice cream (dessert), I had already eaten at another restaurant in town. While I waited for my concrete with M & M's, I noticed all the good looking burgers being consumed on the patio. Some had fries and they were crinkle, which is my favorite style. Others had onion rings, which were from a bag and that's okay when you're a little drive-in style restaurant. I'm coming back for a double cheeseburger and fries. I didn't pay attention if there's an inside dining room, when I arrived everyone was on the front patio. I had the intentions of getting a twist cone of vanilla and chocolate, but when I went to order, a small concrete with M & M's came out of my mouth. Typically I ask if they use mini or regular candies, but today I forgot to ask. The reason I ask is, size does matter. Especially with M & M's in a concrete. Regular sized blend better and add more flavor. To my delight, they did use regular sized and I'm going to say something, that I rarely say. My concrete had too many M & M's. The deeper I ate into my concrete, the candies became thicker with each bite. Yes, it was delightful, but in this case less could have been better. The staff were young, professional and friendly. Customers order at one window and pick-up at the next. They call out what your order was and a few times they called out a persons name. I'm assuming they are regulars, or being a small town, everyone knows each other. Watch for an update, about my burger and fries.

It fits into the town well, it is well kept, but doesn't really stand out. I almost drove by, but the GPS saved us. You see the outdoor seating structure before you realize it is actually the restuarant. I am sure the local know exactly what and where it is. I had a cheeseburger with fries, and my wife got a corn dog and onion rings. The food came out pretty quickly, we sat inside to eat. All of the dishes were made correctly, not special, but certainly fresh. We also got soft serve cones, chocolate and vanilla. Very reasonable pricing on everything. The two young ladies working today were pleasant and welcoming. They work hard and know everyone (except for us, until today). I suspect we will be back over the years, we are just one town over.
