The chocolate ice cream with flakes of solid chocolate and pieces of strawberry made my day. I've also enjoyed, chocolate and vanilla twist cones, but the orange sherbet and vanilla is still my favorite. I keep saying, I need to try their burgers, so I'll say it again. I gotta try their burgers. The restaurant has a nostalgic look and feel. The staff is young high school and college students and they're always friendly. I would have taken a picture to capture the beauty, but with the high temperatures I just started to devour my sweet treat. I was sitting on their spacious patio, so it was melting fast and I was trying to eat it as quickly as it was melting. I would have preferred to been able to slowly eat it and truly enjoy the rich flavor of the custard and strawberries. However, sipping on the melted custard with the chunks of chocolate, did make for a nice treat, too. I'm coming back to try some of the food. The inside dining room was filled with senior citizen couples enjoying lunch. If it's good enough for them, I am confident I'll enjoy it, too. Unfortunately, both concretes were extremely disappointing. They were bland and virtually tasteless, with none of the rich flavor we expected. When I was younger, going to Bobby's was a real treat. The quality and flavor made it worth the visit. Sadly, that wasn't our experience tonight. The product simply didn't live up to the reputation I remember. I rarely leave reviews, but I was genuinely disappointed. I can't help but wonder if others have noticed a decline in quality as well. For us, there are better alternatives available now--even Dairy Queen offers a more satisfying frozen treat experience. I truly wanted to enjoy this visit, but based on tonight's experience, we won't be returning.
