The hours listed online say this location closes at 12 every day, but that hasn't been accurate in my experience. I've arrived well before 12 multiple times, and they were already cleaning everything up and not serving certain items. If that's the case, it really needs to be reflected in the app instead of still showing items as available. I've also gone in before breakfast hours were over and still missed out because no one attended to me when I arrived, even though I ordered through the app. It's frustrating to plan around the posted hours and follow the ordering process, only to leave without getting what you came for. I just had to review this McDonald's after today. My 3-year-old daughter was having a painful bowel movement in the bathroom, and she was screaming and crying. I'm guessing the whole restaurant could hear her, and I just felt awful for her and also for everyone else who was hearing her. Well, the sweetest manager in the world came into the bathroom while I was washing my daughter's hands and offered her a toy to make her feel better. I was blown away by her kindness. It's not easy being a mom, and these kinds of instances are hard and often embarrassing, but it didn't bother this manager. All she cared about was making my little girl happy again. I Ordered my food, was asked to pull forward to the window in front to wait on my order. I asked to please put ketchup & sweet-and-sour sauce in my bag. Neither of which were done. Not only did they forget my request. I get home to find out my burgers were horribly dry and my fries which I was told was the reason I needed to wait, were as if they had been cooked a while ago. The order was simple and the lady who took my payment was great. customer service is always great here but diligence to order details is lacking time and time again. I go here for my lunches once or twice a week and every other week they mess my order up. I ordered 7 items and wanted cheese on my mcchickens as well as extra cheese and extra onions on my McDoubles. Keeps going downhill! Ordered ahead. Waited curbside. For 20.minutes. Watched the manager let a customer - w no mask - into the closed lobby. I am writing this review to express my disappointment and utter frustration with the McDonald's in Gridley, CA. Every single time I give this restaurant a chance to get it right, they continue to do the same thing and give the same ridiculous excuse. Currently, the large fry at McDonald's costs $4.89, (almost $5.00), so one would expect to get the large fry they paid their hard-earned money to enjoy. However, the McDonald's in Gridley, CA has decided that its customers are not worthy of getting what they paid for. Every single time I have ordered a large fry for this establishment, I end up getting a medium fry (at best) in a large fry container. I have expressed my concerns and my issues regarding this matter, and the excuse I get every time I bring it to their attention is that "they are only allowed to fill the containers to a certain amount, but after cooling, they shrink. Yes, the fries they are using are the magically shrinking French fries. They fill them full, but then they shrink to almost half the size, apparently. The pics below are the four "large" fries I purchase less than an hour ago, and one of them barely has half of a large fry's worth in the container. I have been a McDonald's customer for over 45 years, and they excuse they are giving is just that; an excuse. It is an excuse to save money, and it is ONLY the McDonald's in Gridley, CA I have had this horrible experience with. I would go to a different McDonald's, but the next one closest to me is almost thirty minutes away. Therefore, if you are looking to enjoy some of McDonald's incredible (while they are hot) French fries, DO NOT go to the McDonald's in Gridley, CA for those golden potato sticks of delight. You will go away angry, depressed, frustrated, and almost violated because you will always get less than what you paid for. In most cases, that is called fraud or theft. Yes, my complaint is about fries, but if you think about it, $4.89 is a lot of money for some people to come by, especially since the economy is so horrible. Therefore, when one spends this kind of money on something for their kids to eat in a pinch, a full order of fries is to be, and should be expected. If i could speak to someone here i might've given it two stars. The man i spoke to on the phone was very rude to my daughter who currently lives in California. She had a question about her food she had placed an order on. The man on the phone called her a child and said some random name and asked if her "mommy or daddy" is paying her phone bill . He also has threatened to turn her information over to the police. My daughter is 30 and grown ! I am so amazed with how great this McDonald's is!! I now try to come here more often because my food every time is been great and the employees here are just wow! They are so kind! I have been to multiple McDonald's but this one is unique in every way. The employees have just been so kind and always in a great mood even with the long lines of customers in the drive thru, it can be intense but that doesn't seem to effect them at all and I love that about them. They work super hard and I can tell by how fast and thorough they are!!! I think we should be proud on how great these workers can be, especially through the tough times they deal with. I have been here 3 times since it re-opened. it seems like they don't have anyone there that can do their job. I waited 20 minutes parked from the drive-thru for 2 strawberry milkshakes and when I finally went in to find out where they were, they were sitting on the counter all warm. September 16, 2021, about 4:45 PM, entered the drive-thru and arrived at the pay window about 20 minutes later; extremely slow. Received our 3 large ice teas and after a quick sip, realized McDonald's had given us sweetened drinks instead of unsweetened. We parked in front and went inside the restaurant and one look at the pathetic, low energy looking crew and it was obvious this was the freshman crew, not the energetic and mature crew that we typically see at breakfast. Well.... McDonalds is usual fare. Let us just say we all agree on that. Went through the nighttime drive-thru. Window clerk was obviously in some kind of hurry and handed my bag of food out in a very hasty way - without looking to see if I was ready to take it ( I wasn't). As a result some of the food fell out of the bag onto the ground. Without batting an eye, saying " excuse me", or apologizing she turned her face away and called to the kitchen for a replacement item.
