I forget to eat until I am near an area that doesn't have much to offer. Grantsville gave me an opportunity to grab a quick bite before I finished heading home. I came here because I knew I could get what I wanted and partly because I have basically tried everything else at this stop off the highway. I knew what I wanted, came in, ordered and sat down and to eat my food. What was very interesting with this place was the staff. Mostly how they were interacting with the customers when they came in. One such customer came in and basically babbled off an order without looking at the changes on the menu. When he heard the price an argument started between the customer and staff. Mostly the customer arguing that he was just in here last week and the price wasn't that high. The staff attempted to redirect him and tell him the promotion changed. Customer still wasn't hearing him. Then the staff said, with a twang to his voice, "Don't raise your voice to me, I can read." He then physically pointed on the menu board what the promotion was. Firmly put that customer in his place and proceeded on. I hand it to the staff as they must have to deal with this on the regular especially since it seemed like another day for them. Well, they have an answering service which is an answer machine, basically telling you they don't answer the phone, it seems they don't care? Well, considering what happened to me in this Taco Bell, nobody cares. Pardon my wordage, but this place is a real dump hole, quite dirty, terrible service, and those lazy people that work there just close one other they feel like it, it might say they close on the door, but they close when they feel like it, usually quite early. The food I got had been cooked at least an hour before I got there, quite old and mushy to put it nicely. I'll tell you one thing though, I'm not going to ring their bell no more, not just the store, but honestly I've had it with Taco Bell, the whole lot of them. Do yourself a favor, go to Subway, they don't have good ratings either but there at least five times better than this place. Good luck dealing with these people, because you'll need it.

When I addressed that I ordered a basket of fries and not two medium fries, the worker dismissed me and told me it was my order. As I was travelling through I decided that this was the perfect place to stop and have a meal. This location seems to focus on the drive thru area more than it does on the dining room. And if you do decide to dine inside, which I did, you will notice this more and more. With this location being new, the interior has that futuristic modern design. Something to note, this interior is smaller than you would expect. Probably why the drive thru is so busy, that and couple it with how the drive thru is used by patrons. I pulled in here, mind you behind a truck with a trailer. Instead of this truck with the trailer finding an appropriate pace to park, it took up every single open spot on the safe side of the building for parking. I had to circle around the building to park and then cross in front of the line of traffic in the drive thru. I wouldn't have minded, but the guy who did this literally came in to use the restroom and then leave. Inside there is a counter with one register that is hardly manned, if ever. Instead, use the kiosks, or your phone. I used the kiosk, took a number and sat at a table. Something I first noticed here, to make you not want to use the counter is the cash taking machine. I have since seen it at several other location. As I sat there and waited for my food to be prepared I noticed how neglected the counter is. At least two customers came in to use the counter and then got fed up and left. Why, because not a single staff member checked to see if anyone was at the counter. Yes, there are kiosks, but no, not everyone uses them. The wait time was a bit more than it should be. Especially since they focus on the drive thru. I thought that I had been forgotten to, sitting in the dining room. My food finally arrived and it was what I expected. The staff must have had a lull in the drive thru as they were finally at the counter. Or maybe it was break time or change of shift, I'm not sure. It was the first time I saw staff since being in here (aside from the very short time they carried my food to my table). For being a newer McDonald's, it sure felt neglected. Not in the sense that it's rundown, but that no one seems to care it exists, on the inside at least.

Outlasting the go cart track, multiple rebuilds of the Sheetz, and stores closing down nearby. We pulled in, later in the evening, and the parking lot was nearly empty. We actually wondered if the lobby was closed. But we took the chance to come inside. Like most locations, this one focuses too much on the drive thru. Which became apparent when we had placed our orders and waiting long than you should have to at a fast food place. What was surprising was the customer service. The lady that did end up serving our food to us was a delight. She was funny, didn't take any grief, and if I remember correctly, was singing while she worked. I loved that she put my Dad in his place. My Dad was being a bit too much asking for things that he could have grabbed himself. The food is what you would expect. I did give their new sandwich a try. It was decent and possibly too much food for one meal. The Big Arch is basically the Big Mac in a trench coat. Better cheese and fried onion straws. This location went through a change when McDonald's wanted to grow up, but they held onto some nostalgia things. Like Ronald McDonald outside on a bench and some of the old roofline. But, like I said, not many people will care since they are in the drive thru.
