The "chicken sandwich" I was pissed. Looks like a nugget on a bun
    Theresa G.

This location is worse than the any of the ones in the middle of the hood in Milwaukee. Consistently horrible service, long wait times, old poorly made food, bad management. Needs to be closed down. And they played me with this chicken sandwich

Aftermath of the cashier insisting on taking my phone to do Apple Pay
    Jake O.

STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!! Hands down the worst store ever! When you are greeted they say "what you want" followed by "I can't hear you what you want" no polite greeting to start your day off. Just a rude clerk attitude with no hint of being polite. After ordering and repeating my order multiple times to only receive an attitude from the cashier..... she then proceeded to not value my time and not value me as a customer. In turn I forgot my wallet at home. It happens. It's life.... however when it boils down to it a smile can go a long way. Nope didn't even hear a smile instead she is in there trying to cover her butt for her mistake of DROPPING MY BRAND NEW IPHONE ON THE CONCRETE.... now I am out a phone and I have to somehow move on with my life? Then she lies to me and tells me she's a "manager" OH NOOOO MAAM NOT TODAY! It's one thing to say oh I'm sorry I can barely hear you. It's another to blatantly go out of your way to make everyone else's life a disappointment and cause everyone to not go to this store ever again. A little update.... 2 weeks have passed... the owner still won't replace the phone. Instead he insists on "fixing" a phone with non Apple approved parts that voids the warranty... this place continues to impress me day after day. At this point take it from the cashiers paycheck and BUY ME A NEW PHONE!! If I don't have a phone I can't work.... that means I can provide for my family... so absurd that a $5 hamburger would in turn cost me $1100 for a 2nd phone this year and the amount of lost income in 2 weeks... In total I have lost over $2k alone from this... because the staff refused to follow policy and insisted on taking my phone instead of following policy and holding the scanner out the window so I can do tap to pay... this is hands down the biggest FAILURE EVER!!!

    Never again!

If I could give zero stars I would. Each person I felt with had an awful attitude and one girl even walked away when I asked a question.

Food: We got the Bacon Cheeseburger, Junior Cheeseburger, and a side combo of fries and onion rings. They make the burgers to order, so they took a while, but they were fresh and hot when they arrived. The patty was cooked to about medium, which was okay, but for a smashburger, it would have been better to leave it on the grill a bit longer to develop those nice crispy, lacy edges. The additional lettuce, tomato, and onion were generously portioned and fresh. Service: The staff was super friendly. The person who took our order was cheerful, helpful, and professional. Atmosphere: When first driving into the lot, what you notice is a very uncared-for, weedy front patio area. It's not very inviting, and nobody was sitting there. The parking lot pavement could use some refreshing as well. Overall, the exterior is a bit depressing. Inside, however, the restaurant is well lit, clean, and has a friendly atmosphere. You could tell there were lots of regulars catching up with friends and having pleasant conversations. Glad we stopped in.

I'd go inside but when I do they always forget part of my order and it doesn't move much faster. The food isn't good so it's not worth the wait but my mom wants their custard flavor of the day, so I wait. The people are friendly enough but there's no reason to wait in line even on a Friday for 15-20min for custard. That's outrageous. And quite honestly you get more for your money at Kraver's or Culver's.

"Apathy Is Our Recipe"…read more I had a coupon for a free combo meal of my choice from Wendy's, as a consolation for my last crap-tastic experience with them. Wendy's, I gave you another chance, but I'm officially done. The Smell The new signature smell of all Wendy's restaurants now is the stinkin' stankin' smell of grease. The smell hits you in the face when you walk in...and it's the only greeting you're going to get from this trash box restaurant chain. The Service I walked in, and just like the other restaurant, there are four people running around frenetically in the kitchen, but I am the ONLY one in the restaurant. I did not observe any drive through customers. The staff is yacking up a storm about nothing. No one is in any kind of uniform, so I guess Wendy's new look is, "come as you are." Anyway, the kid walking around behind the counter is pacing back and forth and making every effort to NOT make eye contact with me. Remember, I am the ONLY one in the place. I don't know if he was "lost in space," but eventually something broke his trance. I'd describe him as lacking any affect. He didn't greet me at all, but asked what I wanted to order. I gave him my order. He was pleasant enough when I asked a question, but he mumbled, and never looked up from the counter. I don't know what was so fascinating about the floor and the countertop, but that is where he chose to look--but never up at me the entire time. The Food A gal (I assume the manager) came from the back, because the guy at the register had no clue what to do with this free coupon. She was the most engaging person of the crew that night. There was a woman and another guy in the kitchen. I saw glimpses of them. I assume they were preparing the food, but who knows. The sure were loud. If I were remotely interested in what they had to say, it wouldn't be difficult to listen in on their conversation. I could hear every word. Back to the food. The sign in front read, "Dip in for our new chicken tenders," so that's what I ordered for my combo meal, with a baked potato and diet soda. This is the gross part. The first greasy tender was almost flavorless, but I hadn't eaten all day and it was 7 P.M. The second tender was a solid piece of cartilage or tendon. I'd never bitten into a piece of chicken like this. It was about a 1/2" rectangular piece of something rubbery and clear running through the entire piece of chicken. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear it were a rubber band. Yuck! Puke! I was done. The Restaurant Remember when Restaurants used to be colorful and fun? Not anymore. This location doesn't even look like the Yelp picture anymore, not that it was ever a trip to Cudahy. They stripped out the carpeting and replaced it with this "greige" tile. If Benjamin Moore had to assign it a color, it would be called "Despair." There was nothing on the off white walls. The upholstered chairs were gone and replaced with these wooden and metal chairs with exposed bolts in them. It was like eating in a prison laundromat. Cleanliness First, I commend the staff for what appeared to be the "effort" of washing their hands. They did this several times while I was there. The problem is, rinsing your hands under cold water for two seconds with no soap is not really doing anything. It is not washing your hands. It's performative. The restaurant itself was not egregious. The tables were clean, for the most part. The restaurant was barren, but hardly sterile. The tile had some spilled soda on it that no one bothered to clean up. the mats were littered with debris--how about one of the four of the staff take out a carpet sweeper or vacuum. Where is the mop? There were little "chits" of paper and straw wrappers strewn about the dining room. The staff did nothing to clean anything, but they sure shot the breeze talking LOUDLY amongst themselves. The soda machine--the one with "over 100 flavors," had splatters of syrup all over it. It's like when you walk into a bathroom stall and it was apparent the last person was sick. You all know what I'm talking about. The Attitude Wendy's has "given up." It's apparent they just hate the public. The dining rooms alone discourage you from wanting to be there. They are not warm, welcoming, or colorful. The staff in any of these restaurants does not greet you. Heck, you have to BEG them to wait on you. I stood there for five minutes waiting, hoping, for someone to even witness my presence. It's such a stark contrast between the service you receive when you walk into a Culver's or Chick-Fil-A. I needed salt for my baked potato and had to come to the counter twice and stand there while my food got cold because I could NOT get the staff to SEE me. It's a pervasive problem in ALL the Wendy's I've visited. The food is flavorless. The one star is for the Diet Pineapple Fanta soda. I used to love Wendy's. What happened?

So what if I ordered a fish sandwich, I am the PAYING CUSTOMER, I can order what I WANT. The sandwich was crusty hard around the edges and I absolutely know for a fact that it was not made fresh or even close to being made fresh. I know what a fresh fish sandwich is supposed to taste like. I couldn't eat it, and tbh it was so bad I wouldn't even give it to my dog to eat! For the simple fact that I have no clue how long that thing had been sitting on their food shelf under the heat lamp. Disgusting. This is disturbing in every sense because I also know that restaurants (especially McDonald's because my sister worked there in the past) have time limits on how long prepared food can sit before having to be THROWN AWAY. And I can only assume that this sandwich was well past that time limit and SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOSSED OUT. I hope I don't get sick from eating the two bites that it did take. I should have known better, this location is not well managed and food is always mediocre. However, I will add that the rest of my order was ok. And the employees were super nice and greeted me with a smile. That's why I gave them 3 stars.

The dark atmosphere and heavy, dark all-wood decor gives a vibe you can't find at any chain eatery. Our server, Bailey, was great at just simply interacting on a human level and making us out-of-towners feel welcome in what is obviously a locals hang-out. And yes, I got my cheese curds. I got the Manhattan off their specialty menu and my husband got their autumn barrel Manhattan. After trying both--highly recommend the one off their specialty menu. It was definitely superior quality. It's served over a block of ice so if you want it up, you may want to mention that when ordering. It tasted more like a classic old fashioned than a Manhattan but I'm not complaining because I love classic bourbon old fashioned cocktails as well. For a starter we got their much raved about bang bang shrimp. It came on a bed of greens and was good! For my dinner I got their seasonal chicken and dumpling soup and a side salad. Both were solid. The salad was definitely more ample than I was expecting. My husband got some sort of salmon alfredo pasta dish that came with roasted asparagus mixed in. I had a bite and he ordered well--it was decadently buttery and delicious. The service was super kind throughout our stay. Our server checked in on us regularly without being overbearing. Get to it!
