I ate here this morning after having a bad customer service experience somewhere else. I was greeted with by a beautiful spirited worker, she simply said "Good Morning Beautiful." This made my day, She provided a high quality level of Customer Service. The other gentleman was pleasant and polite and greeted me with a smile. I guess I shouldnt expect better from Gary, one of the most depressing cities in the world, and McDonalds, one of the most depressing restaurant chains in the world. I was traveling, passing through, and needed to use the bathroom. I was also hoping to get a cup of coffee. An employee sees me walking to the door and runs over it and locks it, and then proceeds to lock up the rest of the restaurant (early). He can hear me through the window, so I said I just need to use the bathroom. He tells me to f*** off. Another employee sees the interaction and mouths the word "sorry" at me. I was bored one day at home, watching the Discovery Channel (there's a lot of neat things on there) and saw a McDonald's commercial (that creepy Ronald wasn't in it, lol) so I got in my car and drove to Gary, IN to eat at one. It was pretty good. I felt like I fit right in. The music they played in there was some of my favorite too, and I even made small talk with other customers there. I had the biggest order of fries they had, and a fish sandwich. It was A-OK. I like eating fish, that's why when I go fishing I never waste my time with catch and release, I always bring the fish back home, scale them, and cook them right in my backyard. Overall, it's way better than Burger King. Burger King sucks and tastes like sh*t. Id only take one bite out of a whopper and I'd probably have to throw the rest of it out. I order a medium fry and a crispy . Horrible . Fries taste like they were sitting for 10 minutes. No one likes McDonald old fries it just is nasty . Crispy was cold employee's didn't have good customer service. Only thing good is they were fast. Overall 1/10 wouldn't recommend. read more

I have been here 6 different times and every single time my order is wrong. I ask for a regular mcchicken and was given a spicy one after i told them I wanted a regular one. Another time I paid for a big breakfast was was only given hotcakes and a sausage paddy with a hashbrowns. Again I went and paid for 3 meals large sized and was given med fries half way filled. Again ordered 3 of the steak egg bagel meals and was charged for them but when I got home I was missing a whole meal. Make sure you check your food before leaving. read more

On April 9 and 11, 2020 I spend $30 each time having food delivered to my home thru Doordash. April 9th they forgot both drinks, which was bottled water. I know the employee that sealed up the bag, saw NO waters was in the empty cupholders placed in the bag. April 11th received 2 ice cold "Big Macs", NO dipping sauce for nuggets at all, and a big whole was in the side of the bag that was sealed at the top. I stay around the corner and you are losing my business. Slow down and check the orders before they leave your McDonalds. This location is making McDonalds look very "BAD" during these trying times. Went this morning to the drive thru. I literally waited for one half hour in my car for my order. Got home and bread was hard as a rock and some other flavor was mixed in with my McMuffin. For real, this has to be one of the best McDonalds I have ever been to. Mind you it is in Gary but don't let that intimidate you. The staff is super friendly. The lady that is out constantly wiping down tables is a complete doll. She's so polite and even will take your finished tray for you and I've seen her hold the door for people too. The drive thru is nice because out of all the times I've been there I only had one messed up order. It wasn't that messed up, they just forgot my sweet and sour sauce. They get busy around lunchtime but they are still fast. They have a good system so I hope it doesn't change. read more

The food was fine. Not the worst McDonalds I've ever had, so that's whatever. It really surprised me that they don't do free refills here. I've always had an unshakable thirst, so that's a big deal to me in a place I basically went to so I could get a full refill before I hit the road again. read more
