After a long day at work, I stopped at McDonald's for dinner, which turned out to be a mistake. Everyone's fries were rock-hard and tasted old--completely inedible. The nuggets were overcooked and just as bad. I get that it's fast food, but when I spend my hard-earned money, I at least expect my meal to be hot and fresh. I was too tired to drive back, and honestly, calling to complain felt pointless because no one really cares. If more people stopped spending money at places that serve trash food, maybe they'd step up their game. I know McDonald's won't miss me, but I'm done wasting my money on slop. read more

I went to the drive-through in Gardner Kansas. I asked for water with my number six meal. The attendant seemed like he wanted to talk me out of it. I got him finally to do it and he told me to tell the person at the next window I wanted water instead of Coke. I went to the next window and they told me that I needed to park and wait for the water. After waiting for 10 minutes I left. Maybe they should look at their processes and procedures. Came here for to get breakfast food for my siblings the other morning. I always order from the app, because they have lots of deals on there all the time. The inside of this McDs is pretty clean. They had one register opened, with a new employee being trained there. What is a bummer is that you can't use more than one coupon code from their app at a time, so I just ordered twice. I ordered 6 breakfast burritos, and got a free medium iced caramel macchiato coffee; and BOGO bacon, egg, and cheese McGriddle (mini pancakes in place of bread). The order came out quickly. The sandwiches were greasy, but the sausage burritos and the coffee were good! We don't come here often, but it's okay for a fast meal. read more

The McDonald's at the Gardner exit has been my favorite for quite awhile. I went there at 5:30 most mornings to get a large ice coffee with no cream and sugar. They were always friendly even though I was doing a custom order early in the am. The guy at the register was always genuinely nice and the place was clean and friendly even during the worst parts of covid. Sat in the line for over 10 minutes, got to the ordering speaker on the outside lane and didn't hear anything from anyone for an additional ~5 minutes before I just left and went somewhere else. This is not the first time this has happened. What gets me the most is there were multiple people in front of me that got to order at the same exact place but not a single person would say anything. I've been going here for hi c a few times since they got it back in February... but today when I got to work and tasted it... it was mostly Fanta. My guess is that the machine was never cleaned out and the Hi c ran out so now it's whatever was left of the Fanta before switching. Needless to say this is not hygienic and I won't be returning. i completely understand when yall are busy but we placed a curbside order as usually it's about the same wait time but we waited almost 20 minutes as cars just go through and through and through. we went inside after finally having enough of waiting and the girl that working said that they only had one person working curbside orders while the entire rest of the staff was working on drive through. all we were trying to do was place a complaint through her to the manager but instead she came outside with us and told us to "get a job there" very passive aggressively. this was very unprofessional and if it was a different person she very well could have been attacked by saying that. people are crazy and she should have just taken the complaint and told the manager that the customers are not being satisfied and maybe, MAYBE said an apology which we didn't get at all. ALMOST FORGOT but all of our food was cold as well so i don't even want to know how long of the 20 minutes we waited our food was just sitting on the counter waiting to come out to us. overall one of the worst experiences i've had at this location and the managers need to get this shit under control. read more

The one and only time I will probably ever give a McDonald's a 4 star review. The place is clean and friendly. Even the high school kids are very friendly and take their jobs seriously. They do a heck of a business because they are right off I-35. So they catch the work crowd and the folks just passing through. I will recommend this McDonald's to folks. read more

New review. Food safety and health safety non existent here apparently. It is horrible to see a company not care for their customers or workers. During this epidemic and quarantine went into full affect on Tuesday. Yet I pull up to get food. Not a single driver thru employee wearing gloves. Taking who knows how many people cards and cash. The manager that made my drinks. No gloves and put my lid on with no gloves. Seeing such a simple precaution to not get taken. Is not okay. For your employees. And especially for your customers. A drive in order guy that was a comedian made this visit fun. When I asked for a second to decide he immediately told me my time was up and asked if I'd like a minute. I asked for 4 minutes, finished in 30 seconds, and the verbal sparring continued. Fun stuff. The berry smoothies are very tasty here. The chocolate shake suffered from a heavy hand of syrup.... yallzah! Coma inducing sweetness!! The cheeseburgers are the same every time. This McDonald's is so hit and miss, more miss than hit though unfortunately. The best way I can sum it up is that the food is really good when fresh, but they allow pre-made hamburger patties to stay in the warmer way too long before throwing them out. Too many times, I've gotten home (4 minute drive), and my burger is so dry and lukewarm that I toss it after the first bite.
