I love sonic in general I grew up on sonic as a kid in Lawrence when they had roller skaters I miss that a lot but I understand times have changed well this sonic has a terrible low rating I don't know why well why I kind of do but anyways came here for lunch and got a burger and asked for a cup and I understand things cost money But we spend 60 to 80 bucks here a week And they couldn't throw me an empty cup. They charged me 30 cents. I am usually a big fan of sonic and enjoy going to this place because of their cheap food, quick service and great drinks. BUT this specific location is not a great choice if you want the correct order and your food in a timely manor. This place must have staffing issues because they are beyond slow. I went to this location and ordered 2 meals for myself and my boyfriend. 10-15 minutes went by and no food. The payment screen was not working so we were waiting to pay until the person came out. This is a common occurrence at this place, the payment screens don't work so the employees have to take the payment inside and do it. After 40 minutes, there was still no food. We had tried pressing the red button again about halfway though but no answer . Since we had not payed and there was still no food, we decided to leave. I have been to this location probably 50 times since I am from this town, and it is a popular spot for young adults. But i will not be returning for a while. read more

Wow... I have never received such poor customer service at a restaurant in my life. I picked up an order of honey bbq jumbo popcorn chicken and an order of mozzarella sticks (which was supposed to include marinara sauce) to take back home to a child who wanted it for lunch. Upon opening the bag, it was discovered that the chicken had barely any sauce on it and the marinara sauce was missing from the order entirely. I was out working in the yard and was unaware of all of the issues. After discovering what had happened & seeing that the remainder of the order was in the refrigerator, I waited until we were ready to leave again and stopped by Sonic on my way out of town. Upon arriving to Sonic, I told them that I wanted to get a credit/refund on my order because it was missing items and wasn't properly prepared. The female went inside to talk to the manager and said that they wouldn't issue a credit unless I had the order with me. I gave them the bag that the order came in and they said they wouldn't issue a credit because some of the food had been eaten. At that point, I asked to talk to the manager. The female went into the building and came back to the door of the building and said that the manager wasn't going to come out because she was too busy. I shut off my car and went to the building myself. I was told that I couldn't enter the building and that I needed to shut the door. I told them that I wasn't going to shut the door until I talked to the manager. After waiting patiently for 5-10 minutes and hearing multiple employees make passive aggressive comments about the door being open, I asked when the manager was going to come talk to me. I was told that the manager was busy and multiple employees felt the need to insert themselves into the issue by pointing out that the food had been partially eaten. I also said that if they didn't want to give me a refund, then they needed to remake my order. At this point, they had not only given poor quality food, and terrible customer service, but they had taken the remaining half of the order and thrown it away so they couldn't even give that back to me. They had also conveniently thrown away my receipt which, I'm sure they thought, would prevent me from filling out a survey. Once the manager finally came to speak with me and I explained what happened, she agreed to give a refund (more on that later). She asked where the female from outside had put the food and my receipt and she said that she had thrown everything away. I let the manager know that I had taken a photo of the receipt and she asked me to provide it so I did. She then proceeded to only give me a refund on the ill-prepared popcorn chicken and didn't do anything regarding the sauceless mozzarella sticks that were received. The ONLY reason I went to Sonic in the first place was because the child requested it. After my experience today, I don't care who requests it, I wouldn't give them my money unless they could prove that all of the workers on hand today were terminated & that there had been a vast improvement. I know they have continuously been desperate to hire employees, but what they have currently are the bottom of the barrel. Gardner finally has some other fast food options available. I hate writing a bad review but after multiple bad experience I'm just am annoyed I went to get a Dr.pepper, and I was helped pretty quick. Soon the "name" is on their way came up. Some time passes. A car pulls up next to me and it ends up being a worker who was off shift, two girls came out to talk to him. He was going to enter but someone inside joking locked him out so the whole place was pretty much full stopped. I press the button again and I see two orders be taken out and still no one answers. So I just left. A while a go me and my dad went and ordered ice tea and a dr.pepper. i ordered on the app and went to the stalls specially for online orders. after sitting for a while i decided to order something else and when i paid on the app it had said i needed to talk to an employee and say that i have multiple orders. within a few minutes my original order came out and i immediately said that i also had some other items that i needed but my phone wouldn't let me put a stall # for that order. when the employee had walked up to my car in the first place she didn't even make eye contact with me and was already taking another persons order while handing me mine so when i was talking she had no idea. after she said she would be right out and waiting almost 10 minutes for a singular drink i decided to park at an actual stall and was helped immediately and the same girl brought out my second order and AGAIN no eye contact didn't say anything to me but immediately started taking someone's order. absolutely terrible customer service, huge shoutout to Lillian for wasting my time! read more

Worst sonic location I've ever been too also was told they're better if DoorDashed around this area no instead they state they never got my order and proceeded to cancel my order and when I drive up I'm easily able to order my food in the drive through then I order another DoorDash ticket just to hear some dumb ass bitch in the kitchen say "hey we have another Dash ticket to cancel." Small-town Sonic, right off the main drag, is a decent late-night choice. Seems a little run down (some of the speakers in the order panels don't work) but they fulfill the basic requirements of bringing cheap food reasonably quickly. What else were you expecting? read more

I have always had good service and they are pretty fast. I wish they would cook the onion in the super sonic breakfast burrito because the mixture of hot cheese and sausage coupled with cold onion is a little odd but they are good non the less.
