Hair on hash brown
Lauren R.

I will never eat at this McDonald's again. I pull my hash brown out of the bag and there is a curly hair on it. So disgusted.

Half a serving of fries!!! What the....

Seriously.... I just ordered a large fries and get a measly half container full of french fries in my large size box! Most disappointing visit to McDonald's ever! I asked the girl at the window Why I only had a half a container of fries, she said her manager says they're selling too many french fries and now they're going by ounces instead of filling the container. CRAZY!!! I'd hate to see how many french fries you get an a small size!

Cute little shop and restaurant with apple cider donuts…read more They have some outdoor seating and indoor seating. The food is classic breakfast and diner food. There is a long line to order food but there is also a second check out line that moves faster if you're just buying drinks and donuts. Lots of cute stuff around outside to look at too. Friendly staff.

This has been on my radar for a while to do after a hike and I finally made it! My boyfriend and I…read morecame during the weekend for a late dinner. There was plenty of parking. I agree with others that it's somewhat set up like a Cracker Barrel - a combination of store and restaurant. There are three areas you can eat - outside on the patio, on the bar side (tons of seating of different variety- bench, seats, and couches), and the non-bar side (seating is less and a bit more tight). There's lots of interesting decor and history here. It seems like a nice place to hang out during the colder months when the fireplace gets going. Ordering was super quick and you don't have to sit on the side you ordered from. Just let them know where you will be at and they will come find you (listen for your number). I had the apple cider and I was pleasantly surprised. All the Apple cider I have had is non-alcoholic and I thought that was what I was drinking until my boyfriend set me straight. It was so yummy and I couldn't taste the alcohol at all (my kind of drink)! The ID check should have clued me in...but I thought it was because my boyfriend also ordered an alcoholic drink. My boyfriend ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger with Mac & Cheese while I had the Brisket Grilled Cheese with Bacon Ranch Potato Salad. We also ordered a dozen Apple Butter. Everything tasted good and there was a decent amount of brisket in my sandwich. Even that I recommend letting some pieces with the bbq sauce mix in with the potato salad. It makes it even better! The donuts were good too, but I recommend taking them home and popping them into the microwave for a bit. Then put a scoop of coffee almond ice cream on it. All in all, I definitely wouldn't mind coming back here again after a hike.

The Apple House - As we were there for breakfast, we didn't try the Pub, but it did look VERY nice.

The host and waitress were friendly, the waitress made multiple trips to our table to see if we were ready to order. It can get a little loud if it is packed. I ended up ordering Fish and chips with slaw and fries (Have not found a good fish and chips yet here in Front Royal) and she ordered the farm burger with no tomatoes and a side of mayo with spicy sauce for her fries. How was it...So far, the best Fish and chips I have had since moving here. Not greasy, good flavor light and flaky. Slaw was simple but good, the fries could have been warmer however overall I am happy with my meal and would order it again. Her burger came out with a tomato, seems it always does and people just don't listen and no mayo and spicy sauce. The burger was a little over cooked but the flavor was spot on, a good char, her fries were also only warm. Overall a positive experience.
