Got an egg McMuffin for a $1 today! Short wait. Lots of seats to eat at. Clean restroom too.

The wax paper cooked into my BIG ARCH patty.

This location is by far the worst Mcdonads I have ever been to. A few days ago, I went through the drive through to order dinner for my family and almost a visit to the ER. Being the newly added burger and all the rave, I decided to order a Big Arch and other items on the menu for the family. The n the families burgers, I ordered extra cheese (on 6 burger). To my surprise, I was charged for the cheese, but they did not add it to the order. I ordered large fries, they were not in the bag and when brought to their attention, they said I never ordered them and to pull back around the drive through. I also ordered hot honey for the nuggets, they charged me for it but provided hot mustard instead. All these items I could overlook, but when I bit into my Big Arch, they had left the wax paper on one of the burger patties. They cook the patties with wax paper on them that had become attached to the meat. Then the proceeded to build my burger with that attached and serve it to me. Disgusting, and how is that even possible unless it was intentional. After taking a bite and choking on the paper, I realized it was across my entire burger. When brining this to the managers attention her first response to the other employee was "can't you help them? And what do they need? After letting her know she serve my food with contaminates in it that choked me, she decided to help. While she was helping, one of the other employees behind her was complaining about when she will get her break saying it is going on 4 hours without even a suggestion of break. This place needs some serious looking into. Not only are they serving food that could kill someone but they are potentially breaking labor laws. Oh and don't bother calling their cooperate line as I did and I requested a call back from someone higher up and I still haven't received a call. I haven't even received an apology or explanation about how I was severed wax paper and charged for items and I did not receive.

    McRib!!!

I've eaten here a couple of times a month for a decade. They usually get my order right, and it's usually up to McDonald's standards. The most common failing is that the hashbrowns aren't crispy, but that's fairly rare. Even more rare is something missing or wrong in the order. Once, they refused to give me a frozen coke/cherry mixed, even though it's an option in the app. A couple of times, one or more of the frozen flavors is out. For years, they didn't have the McRib when it was available in other parts of the country, but I think that's a regional thing. This year, they have the McRib when it's not a national release, so I'm very happy. I've had four McRibs this year from them, and every one has been McRib perfection.

Dirty, understaffed, slow service. Haven't been to a McDonalds in years... and I won't be back.

Super personable, great energy, and made the whole experience feel effortless. I ordered the peanut butter and jelly burger--smash-style patty with bacon, peanut butter, jelly, Tabasco, and pickles--and wow... one of the most unique and satisfying burgers I've had in a long time. It hits that perfect balance of savory, sweet, and nostalgic. I asked Paul what he would pair with it, and he absolutely nailed it. He introduced me to "Chimp My Ride" from Solano Brewing Company, a rich stout with chocolate and peanut butter notes that complemented the burger perfectly. It honestly brought back that childhood lunchbox feeling in the best way possible. On top of that, Chef Jamie personally brought out the food and took the time to connect--great conversation, great presence, and you can tell there's real pride behind what they're doing here. The vibe, the style, the food, and the people all come together here. Easy five stars. I'll definitely be back.

Within minutes, I knew I'd found exactly where I wanted to spend a hot summer afternoon. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between neighborhood tavern and craft beer destination. Vintage bicycles hang overhead, dozens of rotating taps line the wall, and the energy is lively without ever feeling chaotic. Whether you're catching the match, meeting friends after work, or simply escaping the summer heat, Rustwater has that welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay for another round. Following the bartender's recommendation, I ordered the Chicken Ciabatta from the specials board with a side of crispy tater tots, and it was absolutely the right call. The sandwich arrived beautifully presented on a perfectly toasted ciabatta roll with just the right amount of crunch. Inside was juicy grilled chicken layered with smoky bacon, melted provolone, crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, and a flavorful pesto mayo that brought everything together without overpowering the fresh ingredients. Every bite delivered a wonderful combination of textures and balanced flavors. The tater tots were exactly what great tavern food should be, golden, crisp, and light on the outside with a fluffy interior. They became downright addictive when dipped into a combination of ketchup and a Ghost Hot Sauce that once they are out they are out adding a slow-building kick that complemented the crispy potatoes perfectly. As I enjoyed a cold pint from their outstanding rotating tap list, Spain put the finishing touches on a 2-0 victory over France, sending them to the World Cup Final. Great soccer, an exceptional craft beer, and a fantastic lunch, it doesn't get much better than that on a scorching summer afternoon. Rustwater has earned its reputation over the years, and it's easy to understand why. Friendly service, an outstanding craft beer program, elevated tavern food, and an atmosphere that invites you to linger long after the final whistle. If you're looking for one of downtown Fairfield's best spots to enjoy creative tavern fare, explore an ever-changing lineup of craft beers, and catch the big game, Rustwater Kitchen & Taproom deserves a place on your list. I'll definitely be back to see what's on tap next, and without question, those crispy tater tots will be making another appearance on my table with the ghost hot sauce, if still available, due to the company going out of business.

the subject isn't you can't stop progress... or too much of a good thing... it's you can't add to…read morewhat you are, what you were. first, to the point of why you read yelp reviews, for "useful" stuff as it were, there's this: if you're looking for an obscure place to end a sunday bay area drive, Mankas grill is a great 50 or 75-miles-away destination. of course if you live around there you already know it's the best thing going anyway so no need read this. we stopped in for dinner after cruising up and around the valley one sunday. the menu is well balanced, a variety of grilled meats, pastas, salads, and a delicious "summer berry" bread pudding. the service people are all incredibly friendly, unpretentious, much like the old mankas corner restaurant where locals would get together for lunch, buy a bag of potato chips to go with their hamburger. the new grill is tastefully expanded, obviously popular, entertainment nearby. but if you've been around the Suisun Valley long enough you remember how it was. many of those stories will soon be lost to history. few californians know much about these small country towns, the 2,000 or more little "places" beyond the immediate outreach of urban areas. but on the other hand only half the state's population are natives. and few urbanites today regardless of origin have anything to do with agriculture or food production, which makes up a good bit of goings on east of california's coastal ridges and west of its mountain foothills. you can't escape noticing those little farming communities en route to lake tahoe or around picturesque wine areas like napa and sonoma. probably never want to live there but that's where many did when the state was younger. if you ever wonder who the real californians are, they're likely descendants of families that once lived in little places... dos palos or ripon or, for that matter, manka's corner. in grad school awhile ago now, prepping for a winemaker career, i remember a major difference between those focused on "enology" as opposed to "viticulture". would-be winemakers came from all over the world, boston to auckland. on the other hand, those planning to grow grapes for a living were from rural california, dinuba to grimes: few come to california anymore to follow the plow manka's grill is, or was anyway, an old barn-like venue for locals' lunch in suisun valley. the area wasn't forgotten so much as just not yet discovered, partly because it lacked pizzazz, without bling to catch urban sophisto eyes. napa valley over on the west side of the vaca mountains quickly developed sex appeal, with manicured cabernet vineyards and prestigious, ersatz chateaux that invite getting off the mainroad. but driving past napa, over the hill and further east are miles of open, mostly flat solano county, but for a quiet little turn to the north leading to suisun valley. it's a modest little valley as valleys go, and considerably warmer than napa being further from the marine-aired bay area. it's actually more than a bit warm here, most varietal wine grapes ripen too fast, their wines get dull and flabby. but suisun valley weather is just perfect for growing stone fruit and nuts which take more heat to fully ripen: peaches, apricots, almonds, prunes, walnuts. i had a most peculiar reason to be here often beginning late 1980s, my business output was an interplay of seemingly unrelated products: apricot pits, cherry coke, massage oil, marzipan, jetblast... a few years ago i sold the rights to some trade secrets, and anyway it's all hard to explain. but whatever it was, caused me to be in suisun, do lunch with farmers at manka's, talk raw material price, etc. I admired how the valley had remained hopelessly beautiful, simple country ways despite the garish show being made of the napa valley just over the west hill. but i quickly realized it wouldn't be left to itself for long. wine industry entrepreneurs know very well how to put such places to use. and sure enough, today this formerly quiet little valley is quickly becoming yet another AVA Recognized (American Viticultural Area) spot where the usual happens: farmer sells the family prune farm to some mr or ms wealthy with money enough to become yet another american "vingneron" making ok merlot. what's attractive about "virgin territory" like suisun is such a project costs a lot less here than the same in napa. there is one business that hasn't changed though: Yee's Dried Fruit Farm, down the end of the road from Manka's. there's nothing much to do here except buy perhaps the best blenheim apricots in the world, well enough given how few are dried anymore. one can only hope the Yee family stays with it. meanwhile the rest of suisun valley will provide testament that you really can't stop progress. if we're lucky, sooner than later, too much of this kind of "progress" may prove too much. perhaps then someone in suisun valley will dry blenheim apricots again.
