Eww. Full disclosure- I am not a big McDonald's customer. I stop at one maybe 3-4 times per year, usually for quick food while traveling, like today. Drive thru for large fry and quarter pounder. Service quick and friendly but the hamburger was honestly the most disgusting thing I've ever had at McDonald's. It was literally swimming in a puddle of grease, and the cardboard box was soaked through soggy and wet in grease. On top of the gross film it left in my mouth, it was so salty it actually burned my mouth. I'm NOT being unreasonable. It's McDonald's and I don't expect gourmet. I am writing this review for the late night crew because that's when I come thru between 9-10pm. I recently changed jobs south of this location and I try to get a drink and some times food on my drive in. Staff is horrible in the drive thru. They don't listen to your order, never have sweet tea after 930pm. Give out wrong orders. I watched them hand my order out to a car and the customer looked thru bag and handed it back. Then they handed it to me when I pulled up to window. Not good!!! I am sick of fast food workers and their bullshit attitudes. One of the easiest jobs I ever worked and they act like it is hard to pay attention to details. Unacceptable. Worst McDonalds in the area! read more

I have been a loyal customer of this McDonalds since its early days supporting them twice per week. Then my app foweled up and they refused to honor a free item none the less. Never complained abiut the many times I arived at home with missing items. But for a manager to refuse to honor what they offered to a long time regular is sad. As much as I like McDonalds I will never step inside another one and I have been going to McD's since burgers were 15 cents. I will go to Burger King across the street. read more

We were there on October 20 for supper and went through drive thru and ordered a regular chicken sandwich and a delixe chicken sandwich. First we had to pull over to the side to wait for our order, then when we get home, my mom and I couldn't even eat them cause they were. burnt to a crisp. You can't tell me they didn't notice, and they should have remade them instead of giving us burnt food. So I think I should get them free next time. You could say I lost my money's worth. This is the most chaotic McDonald's I've ever visited, at least at breakfast time on a Saturday. The crew was making random sandwiches and handing those out to the wrong customers. We ordered a pair of sausge, egg and cheese McGriddles and a pair of sausage, egg and cheese biscuits. We got the Sausage McGriddles, but the sausage biscuits somehow turned into a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and a sausage, egg and cheese McMuffin! I think those were roughly the same price so we didn't bother going back to ask for the correct sandwiches. The screwing up continued. They totally forgot the sweet tea cups. Also, they had trouble with the McDonald's app and had to wait for the manager to come and punch in the discount manually. On the plus side, they were polite but boy, bring a hefty dose of patience and be prepared to repeat your request until they get everything right! read more

I just can't. This place used to be good. Their service and friendly manner is good. I realize I am reviewing them during tough times. Right now is covid19 and for some reason I craved fast food. I went to McDonald's. This is the first time I ate out of my house in two weeks and used drive thru. Our order took a while which is fine. I'm not upset. I thought I was getting all fresh food. I normally check my bags for all foods but didn't dig to the bottom this time. I asked the server if my nugget sauce was included and she said yes. I got home. No. Nugget. Sauce !!!! Then the nuggets are old. Tastes like card board. Fries cold and old. Cheeseburgers same way. Nothing tastes good. And the cheeseburger tasted like fish sandwich !!!!! Gross. I'm done with this place. This location is not good. Same goes for the one on Hamilton Blvd Trexlertown but they have the. Worlds. Slowest. Service. Ever. read more

Typical basic bare bones C-List McD's experience. The food was well.....McDonalds. The service stunk because only one register was open with only one guy taking orders and he was walking away to "assist" the numerous supervisor types bag the orders even though they were mostly standing around and talking. In fact, standing around seems to be what everyone does best here. One dude who I guess is suppose to schlep trays in the dining area and clean up after people was just standing around talking with two people in a booth. The three supervisors were standing around talking. The guy on the register, "K", was doing his fair share of standing around. It looked like a damn PENNDOT work crew. The one positive was that this was a compared to most McD's easily the cleanest one that I have ever seen. Maybe that's because hardly anyone was there or maybe it's because they employ some sort of cleaning fairy to get things done at night because lord knows that nothing is getting done during the day. read more

Of all the McDonalds in the Lehigh Valley this is the best. Trained well and polite. Food is good and fresh.

My wife went to this McDonald's with my daughter to get some french fries. They were going to go through the drive thru, but since the restaurant was getting re-done, they had to go in, which wasn't a huge deal. When they walked in, they were alarmed at the large quantity of flies and other bugs in the waiting area. They were certain that the flies has been all over the food. So, they asked the employees to put in some fresh fries. The workers didn't move very fast, either. The fries were fine, but both my wife and daughter were surprised there wasn't a fly in the food. I don't recommend this McDonald's if you have a bug issue. Eat at your own risk. read more

We haven't been to McDonald's in a long time. But we needed some quick breakfast. Very fast and accurate service. Breakfast burritos were served hot and the traditional hash brown was just like I remembered. They still have to improve on the coffee. But overall very satisfied with this McDonald's. read more

Not sure what all the fuss is about here.. Its McDonald's. Not sure what everyone expects. The Emmaus McDonald's location is far superior than ANY of the others in the area as far as service. Never a line in the drive-thru and service is quick. Unlike other McDonald's my order in never messed up! Yes, the interior is a bit dated as other Yelpers have stated but it has been clean when I've been there. Again, its McDonald's. read more

It's hard for me to rate a fast food joint in the 4-5 star range. But this McDonald's tries hard everytime to convince me to rate them highly. My dining in to drive thru experiences have been full of quick service, pretty fresh fries and nice people. The dining room is acceptably clean and the kids playground is always a plus. The only downside is the odd entrances and exits along with the drive thru that has you drive downhill to it. You can get the foreboding that the McDonald's is going to roll down the hill over your car. read more

While one might think that reviewing McDonald's is odd, on occasion it is necessary. McD's is what it is as far as food goes... and the cleanliness often varies from neighborhood to neighborhood. I am writing this to point out a couple of things to watch out for at this particular McD's. One: price -- this McDonald's is more expensive then any other in the area. Some prices are fixed by corporate in general, but when they aren't you'll pay more at this McD's. Also, they charge extra for sauces. This is becoming more popular at other McD's but I find it a bad practice so I'll mention it every time I go in. Two: Play area -- again, this is something that varies from McD's to McD's but the play area at this one often smells badly and looks very dirty. Three: Condiments -- we've found the condiment trays and napkins to be empty... a lot. Some of this can be written off to it being so close to a high school, but I have a hard time overlooking spending an extra $5-10 everytime I bring my kids here because we happen to be in the area. read more

The cashier was so nice and polite, she was telling us we needed to wait a little bit for my food which is fine because I'd rather have fresh food. She told us she would bring it out to us where we were sitting. And then it wasn't even like 20 seconds before she came out with the food. I commute from Pottstown, PA to Parsipanny, NJ most days for work. I use to stop at this location for breakfast and dinner. Consistently I have been surprised by the number of flies in the service area and overall poor cleanliness of this location. In addition to the uncleanliness is the poor service from the drive thru and horrible accuracy on orders. Frequently fries are cold, buns stale, and drink overloaded or with too little ice. The location further north in the auto mile is a near perfect experience every time. This locations management could learn alot by rotating to that store for training in customer service and product quality. read more

My family and I had a very bad experience at this McDonald's location! We normally go to the Pennsburg McDonald's. That location has a friendly staff, good food, and quick service. Today we tried the Emmaus location and were extremely disappointed. Not only was the staff rude, they messed up our order and didn't recognize what they had done. We ordered four medium fries and were given none. We had to flag down the worker and ask her for them. :( read more

I'm always appalled by this McDonald's, I don't know why I continue to give it another shot. Once I was give and quarter pounder that was completely frozen. I had to throw it out. Another time I was given fries that were uncooked and unsalted. I arrived during operating hours one day, and the staff was in the parking lot smoking yelling to all the cars coming in that they were closed. The staff is always rude, the food is never cooked, I don't know how it hasn't been shut down. Do yourself a favor and make the extra drive to a different location. read more

Always have an issue with the employees being rude in the drive thru. Tonight I stopped in around 9:40 (they close at 11) when I was waiting to receive my food the guy working the window blocked the window and tried to point over his shoulder at me to multiple coworkers. Immediately I knew something was going on. When I got home I opened freezing cold fries and nuggets (I live not even a block away) my nuggets were dried out and there were crumbs as if they took left overs from a fry basket and dumped it into my container. This McDonalds typically has a quick drive thru time and the people at the window are always really nice. Their food looks how it "should" and when they pack up the food, it is laid in the bags how it "should." I've never had an issue with them and the inside is always clean. read more

I sometimes stop here for a breakfast parfait. Parfaits are borderline frozen and I love that. Usually good fast drive through service.

We went because it was close but what a mistake. There is nothing "fast" about this food. Waited in the drive through for over 20 mins, only a few cars. Me and my mom went to the McDonald's in Emmaus today and we ordered a normal sized meal. Not the friendliest customer service but I didn't really expect that from McDonald's. We got two quarter pounders some fries etc. When we got home me and my mom bit into the burgers and found out that the insides were mostly pink. The fries and everything else was perfectly normal. My Dad took the burgers back and got a refund but I'm still not satisfied. Only eat here if you are on road or desperate. read more

Do not order breakfast later in the day unless you like to wait. This McDonalds is normally good, but totally frustrating if you order breakast after 11 AM. I know corporate forced on the restaurants but the Emmaus store takes it to extremes. if I order it around 2 or 3 pm I have had to pull over and wait up to 5 min. Last night was the topper. I stopped about 7:45 pm and received my sandwich at 8:05!! the owner brought out our food and told me the problem was the egg. they do not get a lot of orders later so they do not keep them on hand. I received cocolate chip cookies to make up for it. sorry but I amstill frustrated. Why aren't the order takers told to warn the customerbthat ordering an egg mcmuffin will involve a several minute wait. then it is up to the customer to decide. They also seem to "forget" to give a receipt when you order late breakfast. I can not complain to corporate because you need the info on the receipt. i must compliment Judy, the senior citizen who does the morning drive through. she knows customer service! she should teach the others. Are you kidding me? This place is a mess. I once had horrible experience of eating here and the food was snotty. I ordered 20 piece chicken nugget family meal for me and my friends. 2 large fries and a couple of soft drinks. The total cost was over $25. We waited over 20 minutes for them to make some fresh chicken nuggets as the ones they had laying around were there most of the night. We then waited another 10 minutes until they realized we didn't have fries. Then I went to fill my soda and the rootbeer was out. Come on. Then the worst thing happened. I had to use the bathroom and found myself in a puddle of someone elses urine and fecal matter that was noticable all over the only toilet seat. No toilet paper. I had to rush home just to get sick from the food. Don't take your kids to this place. I thought it would be nicer than the center city allentown Mc Donalds but it was just as bad.
